I'm not sure if this post related to this section, but as most of the plagiarized whitepaper thread belong to this section I'm posting this thread here. (If not, I will move the thread)

I want to know how can I check plagiarism of any project ? What is the easiest method of this? Is there any tool available? How the pros do that?

Thanks

As I know google is the best tool for checking plagiarism. But here is some thread that was previously discussed about this fact. So you can take a look there.
1. How to detect plagiarism
2. I've found an alternative plagiarism checker.

Hope you will be helped by these discussions. I can not find anything scam-related things in this post. So the topic should be moved to Meta or beginner and help section maybe.

1. Basic tools that don't do too deep searches, but work in most cases

Example:
https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/

2. More serious tools for deeper search (free version is limited)

Example:

https://content-watch.ru/text/
https://text.ru/

3. Advanced tools that I rarely use, but they show good results (it's free though)

https://advego.com/plagiatus/

Sometimes, whitepapers are saved as image meaning you can't copy and paste the content into plagiarism checking tool.
Fortunately, there are many tools that can help to solve that problem, for example:

https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/ocr.php

https://tools.pdf24.org/en/

You can probably focus on certain extracts and try to do a bunch of google searches, and see what pops-up. Although text can be spinned, which makes it more difficult to detect, focusing on specific phrases (especially if they have a bunch of technical terms) may still render good results (at least, I’ve detected a bunch of plagiarized posts and sites by doing that with some patience).

Plagiarized checkers such as those listed here may work to some extent, although I’ve just thrown a longish post from the forum at them and they came back with no results (whilst Google did).

Being a whitepaper to a project, you’d expect a communication channel to query them. Those that have enough knowledge on the technicalities can query the team. If the whitepaper is not originally theirs, they’ll likely not be too swift nor savy at answering questions.

I want to know how can I check plagiarism of any project ? What is the easiest method of this? Is there any tool available? How the pros do that?
Text Spinning can be found by doing the reverse way of finding out a plagiarism. For instance, there may be not be newbies who tend to do really good at the start (especially in local boards) and if I have a suspicion on their posting techniques I will try to verify the post using google. If they don't give out any favorable answers, I will go along with using a text spinning website and repost them and search in google. But this is how I found and requested to nuke quite a few newbies who are plagiarizing posts/topics.

Nowadays google gives better results than plagiarism scanners and I have experienced that in many posts. Regarding whitepaper, try to scan every new shitcoin project manually and post a few lines in google and check back. When you get a lead, upload the 2 files in https://draftable.com/compare and compare them. Last year we had a bot designed by someone in the forum to find plagiarism posts easily.

As you can see, there are a number of tools that can help in detecting plagiarism. All it takes is some persistence and patience.
I personally like to use google because it gives me a lot of freedom and I can search by different criteria. When I find a potential source, I use copyleaks.com/compare to compare both documents. Also, copyleaks provides good source for screenshots when creating reports.

Why did you say use a search engine from Google can be called as freedom. They trace your search history and your websurfing history. After that they can sell your privacy, personal data to any companies that accept to pay high fees.

Google, Facebook, please don't call them as best platforms for your freedom and your privacy protection.

<...>

I was referring to the freedom (or rather, capabilities) of search options. I don't care what will google do with the collected data... I don't give them anything personal or important. Wink

That's exactly my preferred way of checking whitepaper for plagiarism, simply Google parts of whitepaper. It might seem tedious ti do it that way, but from my experience it is brings best results. After you get some experience, it gets easier to notice parts of the whitepaper that simply don't fit with the rest of content, or stuff that you have already seen, as people like to copy from same sources.

At the beginning I used those specific plagiarism tools, but I wasn't really satisfied with the results so I kinda gave up on them. I tried only free versions though, paid ones might bring better results.

Many tools can be used to accurately check Whitepaper plagiarism.
I usually use tools like Plagiarism Checker X (Paid) and Plagiarism Detector. Both of these tools are quite good with a good level of compatibility, because both tools use search engines such as Google, Yandex and other search engines to find the same information as the whitepaper that you want to check.
below is a thread that I made about the

Other threads I source from are:

The google search engine can indeed help you to detect plagiarism documents by matching several sentences. But there is a search engine that is more detailed and more specific than Google, namely the Yandex search engine. I use Yandex to search for documents and photos with more specifics and more search results.

Why did you say use a search engine from Google can be called as freedom. They trace your search history and your websurfing history. After that they can sell your privacy, personal data to any companies that accept to pay high fees.

Fatfork only says freedom about looking for plagiarism documents without using other tools as I mentioned above. It's not a matter of freedom not to be traced. You yourself at this time may be tracked by the websurfing you do. it's not a matter of freedom about privacy, you're misunderstanding what Fatfork means.

Thanks for your valuable tips, I think it's a great method for me to start from the beginning. I also tried some plagiarism tools but didn't come up as a good result that's why I come to post here and finding the best way to catch the plagiarized whitepaper.
