I am honestly sorry for the stupid quetions.

I updated my Electrum wallet to the version 4.0.2 and I get troubles with it.

- I can not find where to activate the option "Set fee manually" as previous wallet version.
- I can not spend my coin. What I do is "Choose an address, click on spend from". Then, I have to click on Send tab (previous version, after I click on Spend from, it will automatically direct to the Send tab). Paste a receiving address, cick Max, click Save.

I moved next by click on Pay, then Finalize, Sign, Broadcast. At the end, I get the pop up message.

Consider trying to connect to a different server, or updating Electrum.

Unknown error

What to do next to finish my transaction?

Thank you.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

For the "coin-control": It's the same as the old version aside from the automatic switch to 'send tab';
now, the selected UTXO(s) will be shown below as "Coin control active" with green highlight and you need to click 'send tab'.
For the "manual fee": Click "Advanced" after clicking "pay"; or enable "Advanced preview" in 'Preferences->transactions tab' to automatically open advanced preview upon clicking "pay".

The first two lines of the error is "the usual", what follows doesn't tell an actual error since it's "unknown error",
try to connect to other servers.

Unknown error
That could potentially point to the fact you're connected to a "bad" server that is attempting to send you the "please upgrade to our malware version of Electrum" error message. "Normal" servers should not be sending error messages that the client is unaware of... which is what generates the "unknown error".

Go into the network settings and manually try a different server. If you keep getting the "unknown error" message, you could try taking the raw, signed transaction from Electrum and try broadcasting it manually... You can do this by right clicking the transaction in your Transaction History, select "View Transaction", then click "Export -> Copy to clipboard":

That will copy the raw, signed transaction data to your clipboard. You can then paste and broadcast it manually here: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/pushtx/

If there is indeed something wrong with the transaction, it should hopefully give you a more detailed error message.

Thank you nc50lc and HCP for your informative answers. I feel the version 4.0.2 is unfamiliar for me and I used the older version on my desktop to finish the transaction (2 sat/byte) and it was confirmed after a few minutes.

I noted your answers and will try to apply your tutorials for version 4.0.2 when I have to use it if the older version will no longer be used. My appreciation again!

You would be better off using the latest version now, instead of later when you absolutely have to.
Keeping your software up-to-date generally is the recommended way to have all current features, more security and overall less bugs.

This doesn't only apply to electrum, but to any other software too. Especially your OS and every software handling sensitive information.
