ETH and ETC leaving behind Ethash Algo

Ethereum is the most profitable coin to mine as we all know but very soon Ethereum will go POS and that's the end, after looking at whattomine website I noticed that Ethereum Classic is another good option but yesterday I heard ETC is leaving Ethash Algorithm, what will be the faith of mining rigs that are build for Ethash Algorithm purposes? GPUS like RX 470 to RX 580 will be useless soon, what's your take on this? This is a bad news honestly

Your point is true but things haven't end for rx Radeon GPUs yet, there are other coins that are running on Ethash Algorithm presently and they are still profitable too, you just need to do your own research and also it's currently profitable to mine ravencoin, the profit difference isnt that huge from mining ethereum

Hearing the OP's news is worst feeling ever. I couldnt imagine my small rig of 16 cards becoming useless over the time. So how do I know that ETH is going out of business? I mean any specific dates that you guys could share please?

Above mentioned coins look like back up now. But need to explore more reliable coins like the way ETH was.

I have sapphire rx 580 cards, lots of investment and they were shut for many months too. Im like a year behind mining my profit too. It's hardest job to keep up the pace.

That's the mistake many miners do, they shut off their miners because it wasn't profitable anymore but the real fact is non-stop mining, if you've been mining and you hold those eth till today you would have been in great shape because Ethereum is now surging and your eth value will double or triple

You don't have to worry much about your graphic cards, using 16x RX 580 will still be profitable mining RavenCoin, here is a screenshot I took from whattomine



As you can see mining RavenCoin will still net you 16$ per day, Rx 470 and 580 aren't totally useless yet

Look for another altcoin that is favorable to the algo of your hardware or mining rig. ETC just gone through another 51% attack.
