I don't usually see Trusted and Web wallet in the same sentence in here.

You can try checking Bitamp's ANN. It's open source and non-custodial which is great but it's also a web/hot wallet. As we all know, hardware/cold wallets are the preferred choice and most recommended for storage here.

Other web wallets:
Online Bitcoin Wallets
Online Bitcoin wallets, or web wallets, store your private keys online. Wallets can only be accessed with a user-set password.

BitGo
BitGo is a high-security multi-sig wallet, which protects your bitcoin from theft and loss. You maintain full custody; BitGo cannot spend or freeze funds. BitGo wallets are easy to use and offer advanced security features such as spending limits and multi-user access

Coin.Space
Coin.Space HD Wallet is a free online bitcoin wallet, which you can use to make worldwide payments for free. It makes paying with bitcoins easy and secure available anywhere on your phone or desktop.

Xapo
Xapo combines the convenience of an everyday Bitcoin wallet with the security of an insured deep cold storage vault. Xapo Debit Card links to your Xapo Wallet and allows you to spend bitcoins at millions of merchants all around the world.

That's a very good point. Web wallets usually aren't considered to provide the same level of security and privacy as hardware wallets, or well-established software solutions.

If blockchain.com is a noncustodial web wallet then why are we having so many complaints about user funds getting blocked and sometimes users are not able to access their assets due to failure to get login verification?

Some more wallet which you might be looking for that I know are
1. Guarda Wallet - https://guarda.com
2. Bitamp Wallet - https://www.bitamp.com

All claim to be open source. maybe you can check and read more about them

I can't remember if I had seen any other non custodial web wallet.
There is, as I heard Magnum wallet is a kind of web wallet and that is non-costudial wallet. You can read this Magnum wallet review.

User's of this wallet has full control of their fund because you have full control over their private keys and it's multi-sig wallet that supported 40 cryptocurrencies available. You can use your (Ledger Nano S) hardware wallet through this web-wallet, something like a Metamask wallet for me. But tbh, I didn't have experience using this wallet, research your own for your article is much better.

For clarification, you can follow them on Github for the code. https://github.com/magnumwallet

If blockchain.com is a noncustodial web wallet then why are we having so many complaints about user funds getting blocked and sometimes users are not able to access their assets due to failure to get login verification?

By blocked, do you mean their recent issue about withholding the funds from trading wallet for 7 days? that's their exchange service. I doubt blockchain.com would upfrontly block/lock someone's funds (talking about their wallet service) as that goes against their claim-- that they do not have any access to their users funds. The login verification is more of a software/third party issue and doesn't mean they have an access to the funds.

If what they're claiming is true, that they're only getting encrypted wallet files, then it is indeed non-custodial in a sense that they do not have any access to their users funds and only the user itself holds the decrypted keys. But the wallet is very buggy and lacks essential features so it pretty much defeats the purpose of having non-custodial wallet as you can't fully utilize it. Plus you still have to trust them in keeping those wallet files.

Why you are looking for a trusted web wallet? Web wallet means it isn't complete safe and even if some of them are claiming their are non-custodial then it could be pseudo non custodial only.We have lot of better bitcoin wallets with the same features of web wallets so go for the better one.

We can't deny that not everybody can take full responsability over their funds. So they feel safe when there is a chat support and some entity that may help him in such cases. Just like using banks with our own money.
People won't stop using this kind of wallets until spreading a commun knowledge dedicated for ordinary people who still think that bitcoin is complicated than they may think. Sad but true .

I've searched for articles that's about those web wallets. I've found one from 2017 and most of the wallets on this article, we're aware of.

These are the 10 best web wallets for cryptocurrency in 2017

You can use it as a reference if you're writing an article about those wallets. Just write a disclaimer and reminder if someone is using web wallets and it's still best to use desktop wallets or hardware wallets.

Checked out the article. Some wallets in the list are custodial like Coinbase
For some reason, Xapo wallet also seems to be unavailable at the moment

I've searched for articles that's about those web wallets. I've found one from 2017 and most of the wallets on this article, we're aware of.

These are the 10 best web wallets for cryptocurrency in 2017

In addition to what logfiles mentioned, here are some things I'd like to add:

- BTC.com wallet is known for its "outrageous" fees. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
- Copay is no longer available as a web wallet. See here: https://github.com/bitpay/copay/releases
- IIRC, BitGo wallet has a withdrawal fee (not referring to miner fees).
- GreenAddress is now owned by BlockStream and no longer offer a web wallet (even though the website is still functional).

There is Omniwallet.org but it's a bit basic compared to other wallets.

@Pffrt After facing issues with blockchain wallet, I started using Magnum Wallet and am still using it occasionally. As sheeshane pointed out it's noncustodial and support other cryptocurrencies aswell. I only hold a very small amount of crypto in it and in my experience, I never faced an issue with Magnum but I have never connected my Ledger with it though.

There is quite many web wallets in the market is available. But probably only few of them can be considered as trusted. Most of web wallets have significant downsides. Most important of it - they don't give to users full control of their coins. I wouldn't consider to use such wallets. There is more downsides like not letting to set custom fees or even requiring KYC.
There a lot of wallets already ruled out by users, so, not much options left. One is Blockchain.com. But it's far from being perfect and IMO it's only getting worse. Previously I haven't heard about Magnum wallet before. I see gog comments about it here, but personally I can't vouch for them because I simply haven't used it.

Thanks for those information about those wallets that are written on that article logfiles and OmegaStarScream.

- GreenAddress is now owned by BlockStream and no longer offer a web wallet (even though the website is still functional).
I have used GreenAddress's web wallet before. I understand it now why there's no more function to the bump fee with the web wallet because it's no longer updated and is no longer functional as before. So that's the reason, they are now migrated and owned by Blockstream and has to be re-downloaded or needs an update to the latest version or copy from Blockstream.

I don't know whether my comment will still be necessary because OP said he is accumulating names web wallets for his article writing in local language. But well let me add to something to the discussion, if I'm OP, I would suggested you write the article in a tabular form for easy understanding. Something like this.

|Web wallets | currencies | Trx fees | KYC  |
|                       |                    |                 |          |
|                       |                    |                 |          |

The format will be more better or will even add more headings as you may want also.

Actually, both Guarda and Bitgo have web wallets in addition to their extensions/desktop app.

The problem with the wallet is that it's not open source. There is no way to know whether your private keys are being sent to their servers or kept locally only.

Another recommendation to use https://coin.space/, although these web wallets do not provide security, coin space wallet is open source and it looks better than using blockchain.info.

Why not try to use chrome-extension seems to be a better option, but in general try to stay away from these wallets because the connection to the Internet means risk.

Bitamp web wallet is nice open source, and they are active here in forum and they are open source, but don't use it for keeping you life savings there Smiley

I also saw there is Blender web wallet that can be used for mixing, but I think keeping coins on hardware wallets is much safer.
