I'm based in USA and have a passion for sportsbetting, but like most here prefer to gamble with my btc than bank accounts.    Sportsbet has been my goto and I access via VPN, but i'm always worried a KYC will get me eventually and I'll lose some of my funds.

Any recommendations for a USA based (or USA accepted) sportsbook?

Currently this site is doing good for all with crypto and fiat both options and accepting all customers hopefully this will works for you as well.

Edit: I just read only 11 USA states allowing sports betting so please check is this available for you as well or just use crypto otherwise your account can create problems.

Based on my research, majority of the sportsbooks that allow customers from the USA are popular ones that offer both FIAT and crypto as payment options, but require KYC which goes against what you are looking for.

Betcoin.ag is what you are looking for op. They accept customers from the USA and don't require KYC. They might require KYC if they suspect something though which is written in their KYC just like other crypto casino sites.

KYC doesn't necessarily mean that you will lose your funds or anything. If you are willing to compromise in this aspect, you will have way more options to choose from.

Crypto based sportsbook are given access worldwide. If there is restrictions on the usage from specific country, then it could've been mentioned on the website itself. I haven't come across any such notification from any of the gambling site with cryptocurrency acceptance.

I've come across exchanges and new ICO projects stating the people from specific countries not to participate or use it, as their country regulations doesn't support the services offered.

gambling is really strict in USA i'm curious as well i think most of them doesn't accept USA players and if do you needed to do undergo with the KYC if that's the case i think you should stick with a USA license approved sportsbook that accepts crypto and if there no such service then i think you should just continue on sportsbet.io with your VPN but i think it is prohibited to open an account if you are from USA according to their terms and condition.

It all depends in what state you live.
For example New York is very restrictive for all kind of crypto and betting related websites.
I am not 100% sure but you can check out betonline.ag website.
They accept Bitcoin and people from United States.

If OP still need then as stated above just one good and solid option is betcoin.ag as its one of best sportsbetting site here in bitcoin and altcoins community with long history and good reputation they never ask for KYC just in case something very fishy happen no other site is going like them right now for USA based customers.
First, please do not quote my post if your reply has nothing to do with my post.
Second, please read before recommending him to register on betcoin.ag
Simple reading is showing this:

I think it doesn't matter. In Betcoin.ag rules it's clearly written that they don't accept players from USA, so, your friends break their rules and they are risking to get their account closed. While OP is looking for sportsbook who actually allows people from USA to play without breaking rules or using VPN to bypass restrictions.

See here the List of TOP 20 Sportsbooks that accept USA Players:

http://100bookies.com/sportsbooks-that-accept-usa-players-eng/
I have checked your list and almost all sportsbooks, except Bovada isn't known for me. I'm not sure, is it good idea to play in not well known sportsbook without solid reputation. Before joining it, I advice OP to make research about it.

Anyone who has lost crypto that they had parked on an Exchange will tell you that you should only leave enough funds on their site as you need for day-to-day trading.  If you want to make a large investment (or, in the case of a Casino a wager), then top up your funds and then after the trade/wager remove your winnings to limit exposure to a no withdraw situation.

Thanks,  I should have specified that it doesn't have to be a usa based sportsbook, but one that openly accepts usa players.   appreciate the comment.

Well, if that's the case, then there are no listed nor existing online sportsbook that are exclusive for USA players only. The reasons are fairly simple and obvious, would they earn if they would implement a sportsbook website based in USA and exclusive on USA players only - despite the strict gambling and business regulations in the states? Take note that most sportsbook website only earn through ads and ads are most likely from other countries across the world, and in fact, most of those adds (specifically related to either sports, crypto, or money) aren't always based on USA. Hence, you wouldn't find one.

I remember Bitcoinrush was one of the only ones that used to allow US players,,, used to have an account there but recently they seem to have gone offline and luckily all my balances were taken out just before that. Shame about that but I guess now US online gambling is going to be hard to do without proper license.

As far as I know, Betcoin usually has no issues with USA players which is why I recommended it though he can always sign up on the popular FIAT sites which I recommended earlier if he is still hesitant in this case.

I have checked your list and almost all sportsbooks, except Bovada isn't known for me. I'm not sure, is it good idea to play in not well known sportsbook without solid reputation. Before joining it, I advice OP to make research about it.
Most of the books are actually very popular around the world though they are primarily FIAT only and they accept crypto as a payment method. Majority of these sites require KYC initially.

Most of the sportsbook using crypto as primary options on deposit banned USA citizens on their site but there are few of them accept them, I found this site by searching it on google and if anyone would try to bet on the site recommended on the list please take extra precaution since I never tried this only see them via random searching.

Using VPN can get tricky in the long run as some sportsbooks and casinos might detect that you're accessing their site from a restricted country. You can try Bovada as it's known to accept players from the US. But expect the KYC process as this is required. If you want a crypto-only sportsbook, then you might want to check out FortuneJack. To be sure, contact their support to see if their sportsbook accepts players from the US.

Any recommendations for a USA based (or USA accepted) sportsbook?

USA has a problem with gambling, and more with crypto gambling online. Their laws don't allow that kind of use for cryptos. So, I think your best option is to get a VPN and join any site with an IP from another country. That way it would be legal for you to place bets and to be able to withdraw.

This could prove detrimental sometimes based on what I have observed. Certain sites prohibit the usage of VPN's, proxies etc which is usually a part of their T&C. If they discover someone using a VPN, they immediately ban the player.

I know several gamblers who got screwed due to illegal usage of VPN's and they lost their funds since they were in the wrong.

This is why gamblers should always check whether they can use VPN's or not by contacting their customer care etc and then proceed to place bets if there is no issue.

Agree. better to not use VPN at all and try to evade the law or the sportsbook's terms. Reading the terms and conditions does go a long way but sadly many don't bother reading them
