it's no use. developers like that will always exist. what's even more saddening is the fact that some people are still buying their tokens so they keep making more money from fools. stop feeding them and they'll die, that's the only way.

The Defi space is where the focus and capital is going.  If you can take your project and put it there it is more likely to be successful.

Its more like following the trend and out of those developers many would want just to make short term quick profits and will make money and will go away. They are not the ones who would want probably their coins to exists for say couple of years or more. I was feeling the same and if you look at the bounty section as well there you will see a lot of projects suddenly started using defi alongside their campaign to lure more and more people to participate. It is certainly strange and just goes to show that people behind these projects want to cash in from defi trend.

It's a smart move for developers not only for their business but also the their supporters who stick with them, it's a marketing strategy to be noticed. The trend is to follow what the market is asking or in demand. It's up to us if we will follow them and be trap. Always study the flow and history of projects to know whether we should invest in them or not, it's still our decision matter so do not be deceive always study before investing.

I also think greedy investors are being harmed by greedy developers. Currently, seeing the hype in DEFI, many greedy developers are promoting non-DEFI projects as DEFI projects in the hope of making more profit besides real DEFI projects; These projects will be lost for a while. In this, some foolish, greedy investors are losing their resources to the investors without realizing it and without any verification in the hope of making quick profit. I think if investors invest consciously without being too greedy then greedy developers will run away from the market for a while.

I have debate with some investors that have suffered a huge loss in the telegram group these days and I just get their answer and they said that even if they were suffering huge loses and that's their money and they can do what even they wanna do. that makes me a bit surprise about that.

I don't think you can blame the developers, it is what the people want, why shoot a movie people are not interested in, see Binance, they have started calling themselves a DEFI project, so if they can do that, I don't think any project need to stop branding themselves a DEFI project. Defi is so hype, create a project right now and put a finance to it, I am sure that it is going to be flooded by investors. Even shit projects or meme projects are getting 100-300eth in an instant! The money right now is on Defi and people are going to go for it, many developers right now are making a ton of money by developing shit and selling it to the public. Like it or hate it, there's an easy money for Defi projects, but also, the scams are everywhere.

When a large exchange like Binance started calling itself an exchange that had full support for the DeFi project it was certain that this project would not be kidding, because I found out that the CEO of Binance has a very high level of analysis and can have a strong influence on price movements. all cryptocurrencies in existence.

That's just the truth, you nailed it. Follow the trend they will say, but a careful look will show that the developers doing such are only doing it to fill their pockets. To make it worst many projects are actually switching their ideas in such a way that it will display one Defi features or the other, then makes me wonder what will happen when the Defi hype/trend comes to an end and another trend starts, what will they do then?. Also, on the other hand, the investors following such projects are hardly doing it for the love of the project or whatever the developers are cooking up, but instead they are following to ride the hype, make their own gains and dump the project because I do not think any wise investor will stick to such project till the end.

Exactly mate, There is no doubt that DeFi projects have received a huge response in the crypto market over the last few months. People are always looking at hype and spending a lot of money on hype. As if they care what you think about them. They are shameless. They aren't like "us". They don't care if others lose their money as long as they make their profit by scamming.
Too a bad people still encourages those scammers by investing in those projects to try out their luck. Seeing others invest in those projects, naive users also end up investing (they themselves are to be blamed though).
It is not only the developers that are greedy, investors are also greedy!

I kind of do understand their situation. There are so many gullible people that is willing to give you millions of dollars without you actually working for it, and suddenly you are expecting them to actually stop taking money? Obviously they will continue to ask for money, which will not be easy for the investors but it will not stop until investors realize that they can't just jump into any hype they see, that is not how it works.

We have seen DeFi got a lot of attention lately right? I understand it, there were early ones that just got the name out, there were middle ones that got super high and allowed people to make a profit, after that early ones started to get some attention and made people profit, now everyone thinks DeFi makes money, but how about creators who saw this? They will make fake ones to just get money as well, you have to be careful.

The same thing happened in ICO back 2017 & 18. They tried to create fake projects and wanted to scam people's money. In this case, Experienced investors who know how to find out fake & legit projects they were safe. But new crypto investors were scammed. Now scammer targeting Defi projects. Shamed on those shit scammers but one thing to keep in mind before investment try to find out is this project is legit or scam. Also, they can check scam accusation, there Reputed and well known Forum members find out the scam project and warn the investors and forum peoples.

Most certainly this is the work of gread mate, if not how can a developer make all the necessary preparation for a project and how it will be successful then suddenly they decide to switch to defi and undermining all the before preparation they already made, how those defi now feat in the roadmap and future development of the project! Apparently any project that does this are just in for the quick money and should be avoided.

Not only developers. Even some projects are doing so. Most projects just suddenly switch to DeFi.. I was also wondering why some project that doesn't have DeFi as their plan just suddenly switch to DeFi and start to bring another kind of topic entirely about their projects.
