Best coin to mine on a smartphone right now?

I'm looking for the easiest and most profitable cryptocurrency to mine with a smartphone right now. I have some spare Android devices (mainly phones) with a Quad-core CPU. I've been mining some XMR on them, but it takes forever to make some real money even with high-end phones. Electroneum could be an option, but the coin's price on the market is ridiculously low (and getting even lower over time). If I can put multiple Android phones to mine an specific cryptocurrency, I might be able to make some decent income along the way. I've downloaded "AAMiner" for Android which is an extremely convenient mining app with several PoW algorithms to choose from. I don't care about the phones' reduced lifespan as long as they're able to make me a steady amount of crypto daily.

Can anyone recommend me of the best coin to mine on a smartphone right now? Any help, suggestions, or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

why you want to mine with a smart phone ? nothing in POW is profitable with smart phone mining. You can check the projects with POS together with smartphone app or wallet . it will earn you coins for staking .

Honestly, I haven't heard of any coin that can be "really" mine by phone (on a POW basis).
The first coin that could in theory be mined with the phone was elctonemum coin , but it was not a real mining, but rather pretending to mine. Logging in the application once every few days started "mining in the cloud" (which in practice was rather a faucet or very slow airdrop). A few months ago, elecrtoneum completed the phase of mine with phones (probably after getting assumed base of users).
Today there are some projects that work on a similar principle what means they generate coins for systematic logging into the application (like Pi etc.), but I do not know any that is definitely valid and it's coins are listed on any exchange.

Realisticaly speaking there aren't any, but technically it's just an ARM CPU running Android so yes it's possible to mine any
POW coin. AAminer mentioned above seems to be based on cpuminer-multi which supports ARM. There's no source for it
so downloaders beware.

However, most smartphone miners aren't POW at all, mostly clickbots, pyramid schemes or some other scam.

Even real POW on a phone is about as useful as a faucet.

Be it PoW or PoS, as for now, any project making people to think mining coins on phones is profitable is definitely fictitious, no coin existing for now that its mining on phone is profitable. Even the electroneum mentioned above is not profitable. You still have no choice than to use powerful miners. If you want to mine and want to profit, you still need to get ASICs for the best profit, especially if the coin you want to mine is not ASIC-resistant. Or at least, you can get yourself FGPA or GPU depending on the coin you want to mine. Monero is another good example of the coins you can mine on CPU, but phone CPU is too weak for mining any coin, even the Monero.

So far you refer to PoW, phone CPU is too weak to mine any coin. Better forget about it and get yourself strong miners like ASICs and graphic cards.

It doesn't make any sense to mine with your smartphone and I can tell that there is not a crypto Algorithm dedicated for smartphones only, all those mobile miners we've seen like that of electroneum project are cloud base miners not real mining

If you see any new coin you can mine on your smartphone it's a scam project unless they says it all like cloud mining but trying to prove that it's a separate mining Algorithm for mobile phone? That's totally not possible, I've heard about some called proof of data but it's still cloud base, lies lies and lies.

Glad to know that there are existing coin today that are capable to mine with smartphone. honestly i didn't see it in whattomine so I have no idea that this coin is a proof of work, just want to try it to my other phone.

This is because on whattomine you only see coins that are "really" mined on a ProofOfWork basis. Coins generated by smartphone applications only "pretend" to use the POW scheme, but in fact it is a hidden version of airdrop.

One reason why there are no "smartphone miner" type of algos is because it would be WAY too easy for someone to just emulate 1000's of fake phones on their PC using their i7 intel processors. It would basically be unfair since there would be a centralized entity.

Another issue is that smartphones unlike PC or GPUs or servers can't run on 100% CPU usage due to heat. Most phones even if plugged into the wall, they run off the battery. Hence why many of them don't start unless the battery is a little charged. Hence most of the power would need to come from the battery and with 100% CPU usage it would constantly be hot and eventually it would bulge and explode and cause injury. Its not safe to run a smartphone miner.

I've figured that there's not a single coin which you can mine on a smartphone for profit. Maybe PoS coins with "cold staking" features are worth it? Given that a phone's CPU is still not as powerful as the one used in computers, it'll take double the effort to make some profit "on the go". Even "Cuckoo Cycle" coins like aeternity are not as easy to mine on a smartphone as I've thought they would be. I hope that as mobile hardware improves over time, it'll be easier for people to mine cryptocurrencies for profit. It's much more convenient to do so on a smartphone than a computer due to its extreme portability. The only thing that's close to this is a SBC like the Raspberry Pi. But even this is not enough to stay ahead in the mining competition.

All in all, I appreciate your recommendations. I've been mining Monero and Ethereum with my PC's graphic cards, and the results have been great so far. I wanted something more mobile where I could mine wherever I go, instead of having a bulky mining rig that's stationary. Guess I have to wait until smartphones become comparable to everyday computers in terms of processing power. If that day comes, expect crypto to become much more decentralized than what it is right now.
