If this becomes a pattern they will definitely far surpass the US in deaths. Maybe that's gonna help Trump with the 2020 election if it happens fast enough.

Also here's something interesting. I was under the impression that the health system of India is very robust. However I just checked the doctors per 1000 people.

India only has 0.9, whereas the US has 2.6

Greece, a country that handled it's shit during the pandemic has 5.5

Then again, San Marino has 6.1 but with a population of only 33,000 that doesn't really mean much. Maybe all 204 of them got sick!
Anyway, San Marino only has 42 deaths. Really puts things into perspective.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

I think it all comes down to the number of people living in a couintry and the living qualities of the average person. The more people live within one household and the smaller the apartments/houses are the higher are the infection rates. It took corona longer to arrive in India that it did in the USA and Europe, but at the current rate there is no real stopping in India. I agree with you that India will like be the country with the most corona death in the near future. It's sad that there is still no real vaccine available for the most people.

San Marino is a very wealthy country, I think it's hard to compare it to India.

Because people decided to go out and get some work and die if they got covid is better than dying inside their 10*10 home to save themselves from infection while starving.

Indian medical system is not prepared to face such a pandemic and even after the cases started to raise there is not much improved way of treatment or creating any treating space and also only created fear of covid not much awareness about it.

And Indian lockdown is also quite hilarious because people are allowed to walk by their feet anywhere but they need approvals from government officials if they want to move to some place.

Their population is too big and I am assuming their government's aid is not sufficient to get them going. As they experience hunger, they need to find ways how to earn their own income and not depend on their government. So it is really understandable if they go out and find their options on how to get their food. Maybe some of them already decided that it's better to contract the disease rather than die in hunger inside their house.

India has registered a record new 78k+ coronavirus cases, the world’s highest single-day increase since the pandemic began, just as the government began easing restrictions to help the country’s battered economy.

The surge raised India’s tally to more than 3.5m, and came as the government announced the reopening of subways in Delhi. A limited number of sports and religious events will also be allowed from next month.

This is an unfortunate events and scenario for our Indian brothers and sisters ,like all the other comments I agree it has something to do with the population, Brazil one of the densely populated country also has one of the highest number of infected and another one is people are cramping in a very small places because of to many slums areas  I hate to say the words but we also have it in our country and this what causing it, the India health authorities should increase the numbers of doctors per 1000 people this is important it might increase deaths if this is not addressed

@akram143 you’re right as I too know many Indians who’re stepping out for private parties, and despite my objections to it they yet keep doing it because they claim that they won’t be effected by covid. Furthermore the rules are poorly implemented in India, and for this the Indian government needs to be answerable as to why they’re failing to strictly implement the rules?.

all back again the health protocol should remain a priority for easing and new activities. without a high level of awareness from the community, there is no point in the easing, instead it will have a greater impact on transmission.

wearing masks is mandatory, actively washing hands after traveling or touching public facilities, keeping a distance when meeting or gathering, avoiding a long closed room for a long time. this is a protocol that must be done to avoid transmission.

We know that those affected are now without any symptoms and this is the very dangerous thing if the health protocol is not followed. I hope that while waiting for drugs and vaccines, that is the only way to avoid transmission if there is to be relaxation, because indeed the economy also needs to move because the country will be drained of foreign exchange for prevention.

Money rules in India so people who are in power and have money can set them free from the restrictions and government is not going to take any action even if they found in that way in public places but only poor people have yo follow everything but government is not going to help them in anyways so they are asking everyone to die in their home if they don't have money!

India is the 3rd biggest population in the world and most of the people are living below average. The spread nowadays cannot be detected since virus has been mutated, and it spread 10 times faster.
Where are you studying? India is the second in the population count for very long time and probably will reach first position in 5 to 10 year, since there is no clear restrictions on our country to have number of children. Cheesy

Quality of healthcare really is what determines the death rate of covid in each country. Individual's hygiene is also a determining factor.
