That would probably be the simplest solution. TryNinja, you could simply add an option to the search parameters to exclude all topic titles from the results that start with 'Re:'.

If you want the search to only bring the posts that title doesn't include "Re", you can do it yourself.

This is an example of a search I was thinking about, but I made the mistake of putting a space after the '-' sign, so it didn't work the first time I tried it. Thanks for helping me to catch my blunder.

@TryNinja, ignore my previous comment. Maybe you should add an info icon next to "Post Title" to let people know that the advanced search works there as well.

Follow-up request: when I search for Post Content, it shows up in the URL bar (so I can post the link on the forum). But when I search the Post Title, only the board shows up in the URL. Can you add that too?

I am using Ninjastic.space right now to find certain threads and something occurred to me. I am not sure if this was asked before, but I don't feel like going through 15 pages of posts just to check.

While doing the search, the site keeps displaying results from one and the same thread. How cool would it be if it was possible to omit a thread from being displayed in the results. Maybe it could be done by entering the topic title or thread ID. Do you think that is something you could do?

If you want the search to not show posts made on a specific thread, add -"The topic title" to the post title field.
This is not 100% accurate, but it may help you.

Note that - sign is used for excluding any word or a phrase from the results and " sign is used for searching for exact phrases.

I just tried it and does indeed seem to work. The good thing about it is that you can add multiple topic titles in the 'Post Title' field and it won't display them in the results at all. Now, whether or not such a modified search affects the other shown results, by excluding certain words or phrases, I couldn't tell. TryNinja knows more maybe. @TryNinja?

It does. That's why I said that this method is not 100% accurate.

That is unfortunate. I hope TryNinja will find a way to insert an exclusion list that can allow you to filter out the IDs of the threads you don't want to have displayed in the search results. I am sure it's not an easy thing to do, but would be incredible useful.

I don't know if I want to expect you to dedicate your time to a more important forum-related project, or some "Real life" more important project
I think the latter would be healthier for everyone.
But I have a merit band on my wrists sending vibrations every time I get notified or I get merit, so my wish is suspicious, to say the least...

It's good to know that you are thinking about it and that something will be introduced sooner or later. I wish I had it yesterday and the day before yesterday. Would have certainly helped in my "research". My eyes hurt from looking at hundreds of threads and topic titles.

@TryNinja, So far I have used this site quite often which has helped me a lot to analyze the number of post and the number of active users per board. I got this site has a limit on the number of tracked users only 2000 in some attempt to get the number of active users per board. For example I want to know the number of active users on a bitcoin discussion forum in the last 3 months, but it is limited to 2000 users. Will we get bigger limit in the future, maybe 5000-10.000?

Hey, 2000 users was just an arbitrary number that I used to avoid overloading the database, but I can try raising the limit to 10k and you'll tell me if that's enough.

When searching for loli.net on Ninjastic.Space, I get no hits. I was curious to see how often this domain is used to host images on Bitcointalk.

Another thing I plan to add is priorize addresses on the big "staked addresses" topic.

It will be interesting if you also process the quotes for which the original post has been deleted. There's always a chance someone faked a quote that was never made, but I haven't seen this happen (yet).

I think that as a first version even the initially posted and not quoted address from that thread will be a pretty good option and not that difficult to implement.
(Of course, false positives like this will also be there).

New ideas are highly appreciated!

Something that also came into my mind would be that maybe it would be grouping, different sorting or at least filtering could be useful, since "older" users will have legacy addresses more often posted in the past and no longer used. (I am not sure how useful it would be, still, an idea...)

And something more: you may need to make a hardcoded list of addresses that clearly don't belong to the users posting them, like 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa or 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE.

Sorry to interfere ... I suspect he is talking about a poker tournament or some similar event that was announced but he did not receive a notification. If everything is in order on your part, then it is better for Csmiami to just make sure again if he forgot to turn on notifications in advance.Hypothetically, someone knows how to track left and remote feedback for all users? (sorted by time).
