Doing so, I will be able to do my monthly review, even if the "dashboard" section of your website is already an almost perfect review, with many of the indicators I implemented over the years!

Just refresh the page. I'm having issues with my proxy, might change it because I've been trying to fix this issue where a new deploy will sometimes return 500 on the first load and get fixed when the user reloads a second time.

edit: Proxy changed, I hope this fixes the random 500 status errors.

TryNinja, I don't think I've ever mentioned it in public or privately to you but I visit your site pretty frequently and I appreciate you maintaining it for all this time.

I'd also like to say that I love the redesign!  The data seems to be presented in a much clearer fashion--and the only thing I don't like has nothing to do with Ninjatastic but with my own increasingly limpid statistics (merit giving/receiving, post count over time, etc.).  This forum has been like a second home to me for a long time now and it isn't like I'm some geriatric who doesn't understand crypto or has arthritis so bad that he can't use a keyboard.  Guess I could clobber myself over the head all day with that, but the data doesn't lie and it'll *hopefully* motivate my ass to contribute more than I have recently.

But there's no way in hell I'm going to reopen my post history review offer.  Well, probably not.  It hasn't even crossed my mind.  Much.

I'm going to be honest, I really loved the previous Ninjastic Space. I don't have much to complain about the new design, and it might be more efficient or contain more useful features. I'm sure it does. But I just had got used to the previous thing. It was so clean and simple. I did a search, and the title was also a link that opened to Bitcointalk. Now it's a little more complicated; that being said, it's an amazing work you've done there.

But, just in case, is there any way to access the old Ninjastic Space? Something like an old.ninjastic.space?

I’ve had a few moments like that myself, this project is what’s keeping me here.

For the time being, I guess it makes sense that it's easy to open the post and user profile pages on bitcointalk (since it's some kind of search engine)... so I added the link to the post title and author username.

But, just in case, is there any way to access the old Ninjastic Space? Something like an old.ninjastic.space?

Well, the first thing that I don't like is that I can't see how to search for an author and a certain keyword from the main page. All I can see is the Quick Search, but I presume that allows me to search using only one parameter (i.e., author username, topic number, post content). I search for "BlackHatCoiner" there, select the user, and I can see my latest posts. I can see that titles are linked to the original posts now, was that there last time? I could swear that I had used this before, and there were no linked titles; you had to click a link from elsewhere to send you to Bitcointalk. (also true for clicking on the author's username.)

Well, the first thing that I don't like is that I can't see how to search for an author and a certain keyword from the main page. This is the search page, you can select many filters over there: https://bitlist.co/search

The "Go to" thing on the navbar is for when you need to go to a user page or an archived post/topic very quickly.

I might be a bit stupid, but I'm not happy with how search seems to work. ninjastic.space/search was my go-to forum search engine and I miss the old one already. I might do something wrong or there're better ways to do it.

Suppose I want to do a search based on keywords in post titles. On old ninjastic.space I'd open the search page, type keyword with boolean operators in the title's search field, hit search and if search hits yields topics I'm not interested in, I could suppress them with one click(!) on the hide topic button that was displayed below a search hit.

The new search box is not intuitive for me. If I click on "# Topics" and enter a keyword I only get five suggestions to include or exclude. Why only five, based on what? None where any useful while I tested.

I figured out I could click on "Others", enable "Only search topics" and use my keywords then. (I'll need to figure out if and how I can still use boolean operators to narrow down hits. There's no descriptive legend as there was before on ninjastic.space/search, sigh)

That's still possible, on the Others filter button you have the "title" field that works the same way. Same for the post content.

Anyways, I added a tooltip next to it with more details.

See, on the old ninjastic you could only filter a single topic and that was by pasting the topic URL. Now there is a autocomplete search field that lets you find topics through the title (which is new) or by pasting the topic URL/ID (just like before). You also could not directly exclude a topic, now you can (as many as you want).

That's for filtering topics (meaning: "show posts on topic 1, 2, 3" or "do NOT show posts on topic 1, 2").

Like the description says, "Only search topics" is used to find topics (not post replies). It will only return posts that started a topic (the "OP").

I have to click the add filter icon left to the topic id which at first only adds the displayed topic to the included topics filter list. If I had a wish to make: please add an "exclude from search filter" icon or change the default to be exclusion. I moved all the filter buttons to their own location where you can include or exclude the author/board/topic. See if it looks better now.



Any inclusion/exclusion from this option will refresh the search with the new filters.

The easiest solution would be to start using the new domain, bitlist.co ... there is no warning when you use that domain.

When you click "don't show this again", it saves a flag on your browser's local storage so it doesn't show again next time. Maybe your browser blocks this function for some reason? But I just tested it on my brave instance and the warning is gone after the first time. Are you always on an incognito window by any chance?

But it has been long I noticed you in the forum and I was asking some local users about you. And I was thought you were on break because your break light was off for some times now. Great to see you here.

I visited the https://ninjastic.space domain just now and I got a pop up message that the domain name has been changed but I should not be panic and everything is okay and nothing changes. I am seeing Bitlist as the Logo of the website and https://ninjastic.space as the domain of the site. Is it that they are still on the transition stage?

I know how frustrating it is, the old Ninjastic search was highly effective, in particular with fast exclusion and definite Boolean choices. The new BitList interface is strong, yet it certainly is less intuitive as compared to the former workflow in case you have been accustomed to it. It is far more steps than are required to have to manually add a topic, change it to exclusion, and re-run the search. A filtering button marked with an exclude or just a simple button such as Shift-click would make the process of filtering a lot more streamlined and akin to what Ninjastic provided. Perhaps, there are more features behind the scenes in the new system, however, usability is equally important. You are not committing a wrong, it is just a less efficient process at the moment, and hopefully, it would be optimized.

Regarding the browser,  maybe it is malfunctioning indeed, but I don’t have time to clear up the issue. Probably the best way would be to uninstall it and then install it again from scratch.

I'm trying some rate limiting since the website started getting spammed with some requests. No harm is being done, but still I rather limit them.
