[POEM] Is that all?

Before 2020 comes
Many people celebrating with their fams
We are looking at the same sky
To see the fireworks looks like a firefly

When the unexpected happens
The coronavirus start to spread
The door is now close that before is open
And many businesses become dead

Is that all 2020 can give?
Or this is just a new adversity
Hoping this finish immediately
And leave so the society can recover quickly

I think this is the worst year
That cause and give a nightmare and fear
To all the people who only want to hear
Is full of happiness and cheer

I just want to express my feelings right now with the use of poems. Sorry, I'm not good at English.

Nice poem right there. But you know what?
Despite the negative effects brought to us by the Corona virus, I have seen something positive out of it :

*Families that usually don't have enough time for each other due to the busy daily schedules, has now have excessive time to bond during lockdowns and quarantine.
 
*Bad political leaders has been exposed. Because of the pandemic, it is now easier to justify whether these political leaders are with the people or after the money.

*Water and food are more expensive than Gold and Diamonds in this dire situation (though this isn't a post apocalyptic scene, but that's the reality of it, and this pandemic is a prime example specially when you're living in complete isolation.)

*Then good leaders will be tested again on how they are able to revive the economy.

*And of course, people have enough time to read about Bitcoin and might potentially invest in the future.

The translation is still not the worst. After the translation ends, the world will return to normal. Although many went bankrupt, many fell ill and died from the Corona Virus, many had no food to eat, governments showed their failure.
During social isolation, everyone has time together.
The natural environment is cleaned again when tourism and production activities are stopped.
We have caused a lot of suffering on Mother Nature over the years and we have to bear the consequences.

I'm not familiar with english poetry,so I can't decide how good or bad your poem is.
The coronavirus pandemic isn't that apocalyptic,the mainstream media are exaggerating the situation way too much,such for the sake of getting more viewers and clicks.We are going to get thru this and the world will recover pretty fast.
Anyway,you could add some beats and make this into a rap song.

I love poetry, and you did great.
Its really sad to realize what the year 2020 had brought us.
From the beginning of this year, my whole country had been struggling because of the swine flu that affected all the piggery/farms businesses. And after that, we suffered from a sudden volcanic erruption, where most people in the   place lost their homes and businesses. We are currently recovering, when this pandemic severely hits us. Its really strange that if we dont follow rules and think negatively, we won't survive. This may have cause us all tired, and felt devastated, but we need to fight on as we go along. It will be over soon. The economy will recover and we will go back to normal again. Just focus on things that will help us survive and let's just stay positive in mind but stay negative from corona virus.

There are a lot of people struggling due to this pandemic also I want to share you too just give hope that some of the business right here on my country are bringing back and some of the workers are going to their job now we are hoping that the number the infected people going back to 0 and less the number of people died.

Nice poem mate! 2020 is definitely a very different year in many ways and we will tell stories about it to our grandchildrens when we get old. Right now, the entire humanity is suffering, economy is suffering, we all are suffering from the wrath of a tiny virus. It showed us how inferior we are against the nature!

I have known a good poem writer here in the forum @lordhermes, It seems that more and more users accidentally became a poet. Maybe because of lockdown that people were getting killed by the silence of the sorroundings unlike before that that streets are very busy even in the late of the evening. Now, the virus has really influenced a lot from people's health to business. I can't really imagine how big is the problem and the damage that had costs much because of the virus(covid19). Now, we have to follow the minimum requirement for safety measure. Keep safe everyone. Stay at home is advise.

Many have found themselves in different areas, and this is good, because we continue to live no matter what.

I forgot who said it, but I'll paraphrase it: "Science takes very complicated subjects and tries to simplify them.  Poetry takes very simple things and over complicates them".  Most people hate poetry too, as far as I know.  And a poem about COVID-19 written in broken English?  No thanks, I'll pass on that.

And on top of all of that, the sentiment expressed within the poem is so obviously something we all feel right now that there's no need for it to even be stated, much less in the form of a poem.  Coronavirus has made the world shitty, and hopefully it'll get better soon.  That's more succinct and easier to read.

Forced rhymes make a piece of text strained, because the form does not fit the medium and yet your mind is forced to compromise with the flaws. Plus, continuous same-end rhyming bores the mind.

Nice poem buddy, this year 2020 is the worst year so far because of many things that happen within this year. This pandemic is the worst thing for this year, there are many changes that happen because of this. There are many people who die especially that older one because of the pandemic, there are also many so many businesses that fall down, especially those business that is only renting for the store, that is a big loss because the payment for the rent is still continuous even though it is not open.

I am hoping that we can recover from this things before christmas so we can celebrate without any fear and full of joy.

The content of your poem is reflective. To many , this year 2020 is most disastrous because covid-19 took many lifes and turned many to orphan. This is such a bad year for the world and worse is people living still lost their jobs.

Although, the pandemic period brought about downfall and rise of certain business, the incidence of the pandemic affected the both sides of business and market structure economically, in my country the sellers of facemasks and hand sanitizers became rich and financially free while others experience the opposite, so we can conclude that the pandemic period increases and sometimes decreases the economic value of certain businesses either sole proprietorship or governmental enterprise.

For a long time in this forum, tonight I found a thread that contains poetry.

Same here and it was about this year's tragic moments. I'm still optimistic about this year 2020. Even though I would admit that this year's a rocky road for everyone. Seems we are seeing some light and slowly recovering from that huge impact that pandemic hit us. As long as we are strong enough and still moving forward with all the struggles. We can defeat all of the down moments.

We are totally developing well via poem writing, i will say it's good to emulate positive thing, @lordhermes who introduced the methodology or used of poem for construction of letter on forum.

Looking at the areas op is emphasising using poem, it's obvious that corona virus brought harm to people in society, even eradicate chances of getting employed in some industries and civil commission services board's, because of delay corona virus brought to different countries.

Saying that this year is the worst year so far by op, is not a mistake because many people are hopeless due to what so called virus caused, looking at it in different countries you will observe that some many people has been dropped from the areas of work and some people lost their parents, children, uncle's and their relatives because of the same virus.
Some objective or plan's of people was not accomplished or fulfilled based  on same situations, so therefore these year 2020 is the worst year so far both people in urban area and rural area in certain countries.
