DeFi, DeFi, DeFi.......what a hype made by defi in recent market. Everywhere I am seeing only Defi. It is making a hype in the recent market as during 2017-2018 ICOs. it's really wired to me.
Btw yes the project copy/paste a little amount from other sources without a credit link. But when a project keeps hidden their team members and doesn't want to post it publicly. what do you think in these cases? As a campaign manager, I have been offered by some projects with an anonymous team. So what do you think? Does the anonymous team mean a scam project? or they are better than the fake teams if other contents look good?

The way YFI created the hype after coming to the market was beyond everyone's imagination. So there are many traders who could not buy those coins at the right time so there is a regret among them. They are now looking for another seam opportunity to invest.

And using this opportunity, scammers are coming up with various fake projects for the purpose of scam. Since it is still prevalent in the market There is hype about such projects so it can be said that they will get a lot of victims. I hope those who have seen this thread stay away from this scam.

After a long time seeing another project who are using cartoon images instead of real human faces. Nearly 2 years earlier ICOEthics have detected a similar case where scammers were using cartoon images on their team section. Maybe its the most safest way to hide real identity from people.

The way YFI created the hype after coming to the market was beyond everyone's imagination. So there are many traders who could not buy those coins at the right time so there is a regret among them. They are now looking for another seam opportunity to invest.
Investors are looking for another opportunity to make handsome profits but on the other hand scammers are coming up with lots of scam projects to take the advantage of this situation. As an example we have seen so many Libra related fake projects after Facebook made their announcement about it. Something similar happening with the hyip of YFI and all these scam projects are the clear sign of that.

This is what we call riding the DeFi hype, I noticed that they did not create an announcement thread here obviously they do not want to be targeted or they cannot hire people to open a thread for them because obviously it's a scam DeFi, more DeFi projects are going to be created because people or those newbies are still in FOMO.

Anonymous team is not necessarily a bad thing, especially in projects that position themselves as entirely decentralized ones. Bitcoin was created by anonymous person/persons and has evolved to what we see today. Bitcoin, however, is unique and possibly the only DeFI project that really works. From logical point of view, project cannot be truly decentralized if there is a team of founders behind it looking for profits. They are a single point of failure. DeFi sector today consists of many projects that are neither decentralized nor for finance. Most projects, especially newly created ones, are ponzi schemes or short-, mid-term pump and dump schemes. Anonymous team means investors will not find them after a big dump is happened. Sushiswap is the best example. https://thedailychain.com/exit-scam-sushiswaps-anonymous-founder-swaps-all-sushi-tokens-for-eth/

You better avoid offers from such " DeFi founders".

I don't like anonymous team they can always pull the plug anytime, we don't now how investors can go after the developers if these people are unknown, and nowhere to track and besides we want the to know the credibility of the people behind the project if they are really capable of creating the platform and completing the road map, it's a big joke if they post animated or cartoon images for people behind the project.

Anonymous team is not necessarily a bad thing, especially in projects that position themselves as entirely decentralized ones.
Problem start to create when they try to get too much anonymous and shamelessly use AI generated images and cartoons. Every ICO scammers wants to hide their real identities by using stolen contents and fake team members images. I think we can call this another way of staying anonymous. There was a time when investors were not so interested about project team but now its the most important thing. So, in this situation without new investors if anyone see the word of "Anonymous team" they will definitely think twice before making their investment. It doesn't mean that project with real team will always deliver best for you but for me its far safer than the project who have anonymous team.

Look at this:

These scammers are using same thing. only forked/copied from Cronje and started a new scam along how many other scams they are running. This Cronje rang my bell and I remembered seeing that name on Github while I was investigating the scam I reported.

I believe there is an Indian scammer network that I started to crack on. I'm trying to connect multiple TG channels that are most likely owned and used by the same network.

Their Github: https://github.com/YearnsFinance/vaults/commits/master

Why are scammers too stupid now? The trend of ake team and cartoon team has been over. Is really a need to reveal the team for a decentralized platform? I don't think so, using fake or cartoon team doesn't prove they are legit. They just trying to make fool their investors. Scammers don't know a legit project would even with a revealed team picture. Not using an image for a team means investors are aware of it and they could decide that its potential or not. Using cartoon or fake image an immediate red flag for me and I believe everyone should avoid such as the project. Stay away guys, save your money.

I hope you will be able to detect that specific group of scammers who are continiously running scam projects one by one. I can remember that few month earlier someone add me on a trading signal group where they were actually referring people to join all new ICO channels. Actually they increase the number of group members first and use that for multiple purpose at the end.

Although i am not sure it was an indian channel or not but they gave too many greetings messages during indian festival.
Why are scammers too stupid now?
Its nothing new. This is the only similarity which you will find in every scam project. For us they are stupid but they are hiding their real identity through this type of activities. So, i don't think they care little bit about it how we are taking their fake team.

presenting cartoon team is still something they could get away than getting caught of using a fake one. but this plagiarized text nailed it.

they will still continue to do it until they can't persuade someone. to t he scammers who don't come in bitcointalk somehow they get to profit, this is why there is the need for some busting on facebook and social media sites to expose these guys. there were facebook sponsored ads i've seen just recently bragging about their prices on uniswap.

If you can dig that channel up and share it with me it would be appreciated. I can use it to see if I can connect it to the current ones I'm tracking.

This is exactly why I started tracking signal groups on Telegram few months ago, my Telegram looks like shit cos of it, as I have joined tons of trading channels so I can track them. So many scams have moved to Telegram now, especially since Defi craze started, they do everything there, Twitter and social media is just used as a make up.

They are banking on naive users in the cyberspace who happen not to know what bitcointalk is.
This is the reason why they can still get money because not all people are doing their job as investors.
Some are just riding the hype for the mere thought of getting profit out of it.
They don't care about the authenticity of the platform.

Why are scammers too stupid now?

Unfortunately, these low-level scams also highlight how stupid some investors are for falling for these.

We're seeing hundreds of those stupid scams, why do they keep popping up?
Simple, it means they are profitable and we're not even close to seeing them dying down as cryptos become more popular and the new generation that comes into contact with it is far less educated about the risks and even unaware they can be scammed in seconds.

Unfortunately, the scams are also a mirror of the users searching for investing and making money, and it's not a pretty sight.
