That's risky: as the name suggest, this should only be used for friends and family, aka people you trust. It shouldn't be used to save on fees, and I've seen scenarios in which either party in the deal can get screwed.

maybe you can use escrow to make the transaction.

That transfers the risk to the escrow. Paypal isn't meant for this.
