Insensitivity in analyzing/reading scam/problem

To be secure/safe their should be a recognition/understanding about the possibility of various types of possible harms/problems/dangers.
a real life story of a friend who has low insensitive to possible harm/scam, he meet a seller who wanted to sell an iPhone product so they agreed to meet at a place to do the deal proper, the seller came along side another person who was with a bag, at this stage my friend sensitivity was low probably because it's an open area in the day time what could possibly go wrong that's was his thought, the iPhone product was opened from the package he analyzed it and it was all good then he gave them back to put it back in the package, he paid and collected his new phone, when he got home and opened the package he was meet with a big fist size soap bar tied in a nylon bag. then he realised it must has been swapped by the other guy, low sensitivity exposed him to a broad day light scam.

people scam insensitive can be low for many reasons
+I am too big/knowledge/experienced to get scammed: when you begin to get to sure-of/dependant-on your knowledge/experiences on getting scammed, your sensitivity begins to relax gradually, never get too sure of knowledge/experience, make use of the knowledge/experience in scam cases but have that curious attention of a newbie.

+ FAITH/BELIEVE: I was warning a -newbies- about a Ponzi and the harms/danger but the newbie was seeing reasons but said he believes it would work for him. faith and believe can shift aside knowledge/experience if it's not checked. do not make blind moves because you believe or have faith in it, your sensitivity will become dull.

to conclude also don't trust what you not sure of, even if you sure don't be complacent, report scam and always have a sharp sensitive.

Anyone can still be scammed, that is why we need to remain sensitive to our environments, be it local community, online and international communities. We should not trust anyone but only ourselves. About your friend experience, it is very common in my country as well, especially when buying phones. I knew a friend that thought he bought a phone but on getting home, he saw local food inside it. But, I noticed this happens when you are buying phone in an open areas. People do buy phones in open market because their price can be cheap but it is where sellers do scam rich people.

That is why it is good to look for a legit company selling all these type of products, and not that their prices are not also affordable. It is free of scam compared to such open market.

I think your friend is too complacent and think that everything is perfect. The first thing we should understand is that scam exists, specially too good to be true offers. If you have this in always in our mind, then you will be very attentive, whether online (social medias) or offline (meeting someone). In my opinion, overconfidence is the main reason for all problems, Being confident is good but being overconfident will always result in failure. In this case, your friend was overconfident that nothing wrong can happen to him in a crowded place but it happened.

I believe anyone can get scammed but how much easy was it for the scammer depends on the persons self reasoning and confidence about his actions.

There is nothing wrong with being knowledgeable when it comes to the products you are buying, the problem is we appear naive to these scammers and this gives them the confidence to play their schemes, in my opinion I would say just be aware, when you see that a scam is happening and you need to be imposing or intimidating when the nature calls for it, most of them can't handle tense situations so when that happens they do not know what to do because it might have been their first time that someone saw through their schemes. Be confident and aware, it will help you.

It's not that they are not analyzing, those who got scammed are not aware that they've invested in a scam project, I have a talked to one of my friend and he is not aware that he invested in a scam site because he had seen people showing their payment proof and they advertised that this is long term, because the project they claimed was written in a smart contract, they made him believe that the dev will not run away
because he has no access to the smart contract, until things are to late.

Take the Twitter scam the one using hacked account of influential people. Such a thing happens again people will be scammed. This encourage/interest scams to go on. Sensitivity/curiousity has to top up.

This is why even those projects that have published team profiles with corresponding links is not to be trusted. They can always get away if there are some loopholes in the contract. And you can't run after them if you have no solid evidence to begin with. In cyberspace, it is hard to trust people. Because we don't know they real motives and we won't know it.

If you are a serious investor on such project. You know very well that linkedin can be deceiving and some of their accounts if not used or captured from legit owners are fake. Good thing to do is watch closely any sort of announcement or better yet, verify their authencity by calling them through video calls. If they are hesitant to do so, then probably they are hiding something or dont want to say they are the persons on the displayed social account.

Scam, scam, scam...yeah that it looks like a scam but what if it is not true? I may lose the opportunity.

Believe me, most people fall into this scamming not being unaware or innocent, but it is because they are blinded to see the reality because of money. Greedy people always become victims of this and it is too late already to realize. They are not stupid and I know that but they don't just want to make a change, instead of relying on false hope.

Scammers are experts in convincing people into been scammed, so there is a hint I normally used to win and have a fast sensitivity in detecting scam behaviour, "never promise me high money" , experience made me stronger and I have never had faith in certain thing to work out for me in as much as the experience is not there.

It is true and I agree with the fact that constant reading makes you have a good sensitivity in reacting to scam tricks, or rather getting profound information about latest scamming procedure, your friend failed to acknowledge this that's why s(he) was kicked immediately, never trust any road side dealer and always check ordered products before taking them to your residence.

There is always a scammer in any field, I can be in real life or virtual. We should always be vigilant at any time especially when we are doing that is related to the money. Scammers are hooked up by money and they are also using it to scam other people. An example of that is some fake websites. They commonly created a clone investment website just to steal others' money, it happened to me before and I lost my money because of thinking that I could earn money on it but in the end, it is all nothing.

In real life, we should not be contented for the things we feel, whenever we feel even small doubt to something then we should be careful, always remember that we won't feel any simple doubt if we really believe on somehing, if it seems like a 100% legit then that is good, but if you feel it does not then make doublethink and always assess the situation. It's better to be careful than being comfortable.
