Hello, I am Bluestorm912 and I'm the founder of The Nigerian Gaming Community (NGC), a community created to promote ESports in Nigeria. I recently got to know about Bitcoin and Im interested in all it's has to offer as a currency and technology. From my research I got to understand that blockchain technology has an important role in bringing out the best in the ESports industry.

I would like to know where I can post about ESports in the forum and also introduce members of my community into the forum and possibly introduce them to Bitcoin.

It depends on what you want to discuss, it it’s strictly game related, betting derivates or other. A quick search on the forum’s prior posts that mention esports over that last year render results mainly in off-topic, gambling discussion and gambling.

I searched using https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search, and search for esports , message age between 0 and 400 days, and search order most recent topic first.

If it’s a hardcore game discussion, it would be in the Off-topic board, although perhaps a crypto forum is not the best of places for it.

Hello,

Firstly, welcome to the forum. Regarding your concern, the most fit board for you can be Off-topic: Other topics that might be of interest to bitcoiners Board

If your topics contain some contests, give aways or any thing that requires participation, then you can post in Games and Rounds: Spreadsheet games, forum-based games, and discussion of individual rounds/games on other sites

Please make sure to read the posts that are pinned on every board which will familiarise you with the posting and implementation rules.

The forum is by the people, for the people. Just make sure you stick to the forum rules.

Thank you

Thanks for the assistance everyone, just one more question though, is the forum welcomed to discussing esports because I'm getting the feeling that's not common here.

I'm a gamer and I think the gaming industry needs all that the Blockchain technology can offer. Just want to communicate with other like minds also those that are into bitcoin too that's why I'm here.

You can post anything on this forum as long as it's in appropriate section. If the topic is related to Bitcoin, post it on one of the Bitcoin boards, if it's related to altcoins, post it in Altcoin Discussions, everything else goes to offtopic.

Blockchain solves the problem of trusted third parties in transfer of digital assets, I don't see how it's beneficial to esports at all, if there never were any big problems caused by centralization or abuse of trust in this field. This is one of those cases where people try to apply blockchain where it's not needed, just because they think that blockchain is cool.

If Esports alone, it's on Off-topic. But if there's an esports betting related discussion you want to talk about.

You can see more of them on Gambling discussion. There were a few post months ago on Other languages/locations from your country.

I'm a gamer and I think the gaming industry needs all that the Blockchain technology can offer. Just want to communicate with other like minds also those that are into bitcoin too that's why I'm here.
If this is the case, I think it can be on Service Announcements (Altcoins).

Where? Maybe on esports forum Smiley? Seriously, if you want to promote Bitcoin esports gambling service, you should go to Gambling board. If you want to discuss esports competition and betting on it, Gambling discussion is right place for it. I think I saw there is few threads dedicated for esports already were made.

Seeing this topic and I'm like, 'what the heck? What's this doing here?' but then, i noticed it's an enquiry and the board says help hence, there isn't any better board for it to be other than here...
Well, the forum could be a very elaborate one, but still as simple as it could be to accommodate and treat all issues to enable users to be comfortable on the forum by fitting perfectly into different niches. So, to answer your question;
Just going to the economy board on the homepage and right below the market section of it, you would find what you seek I presume and that is, where to discuss sports related discussions.
