New UK based P2Pool Vertcoin pool

Hello all,

I have started an experimental P2Pool for Vertcoin.

General Vertcoin Information thread:

Quick Start for Windows
- Get client
- Modify vertminer.conf
- Run

Note that to use cgminer to mine Vertcoin, a modified version is required. Information on the link above.

P2Pool node address:
- Getwork:
- Stratum: stratum+tcp://

Pool Information:
- 1% p2pool node fee
- PPLNS payout with vardiff
- Direct payouts to wallet
- Dynamic worker frontend - enter your address and watch the stats

Pool Stats can be found on:

A modified cgminer line to support Vertcoin would look like:

cgminer --scrypt -o -u VmfbcPe9Sz8tg3behbNrPb37A6wPtpNuk1

For cudaminer (GeForce cards):

cudaminer.exe -C 1 -i 1 -H 2 -l auto -o -u VmfbcPe9Sz8tg3behbNrPb37A6wPtpNuk1 -p 123 --algo=scrypt:2048

If you want to manually control your difficulty, you can use the following formulae:

Vertcoin Address+(0.00000116 x Hash Rate in KHash)

As an example, for a 7950 running at 290 KHash/s:

290 x 0.00000116 = 0.0003364

So the username would be:

Here are some suggested values:

KHash/s Difficulty
50 +0.00005821
100 +0.00011641
250 +0.00029103
500 +0.00058207
750 +0.00087310
1000 +0.00116414

Note the following:
- P2Pool payments can take up to 24 hours to gain speed after you start mining.
- Payouts require that you solve at least one share of difficulty greater than the P2Pool share target per day.
- Do not mine with high intensity - payouts will be better at average intensity.
- There will be an increased stale rate in the miner compared to a traditional pool; this is expected behaviour for P2Pool (~5-15%)
