And since Bitcoin and the crypto industry is significantly dependent with technology, unless there is an established technology and electricity which is not assured if there is a world war, then it would probably have lesser essence in the lives of enthusiasts during those times.

I believe money is essential in the world war because there will be a shortage of foods and other consumer products. So it might affect bitcoin's price or the crypto market that the price would definitely fall down because people would panic sell to provide their needs. Crypto industry is fully dependent on Internet. If you have not a good internet connection, you cannot buy or sell cryptocurrency properly. If there is a third world war, I don't think internet service will be the same as it is now. Even I think we will lose electricity too. Then our only hope will be fiat money. Cryptocurrency will then have no value.

In my perspective, I think the use of the bitcoin will become more useful because right now for the expected world war 3 is all about the technology and innovation right now the country is rapidly increasing and the become dominant is all about technology and there is a chance that the one of the most war is all about the Internet for sure we will assume some intruders will conquer the movement website and secured files that must be hidden to the public.

I had a discussion with a friend about what could happen to bitcoin in a war. He said that it will surely collapse. I am not so sure about it.

First of all, Bitcoin is not that weak and it is a completely different currency than fiat money. On a world war, fiat money will take the most of the damage. Because in a situation like that, economy of the countries on war will be affected at a high rate. This will redound on fiat money badly.

Having a war is the worst thing that could happen in the world. One thing is for sure if a lot of countries are busy in the war some other unimportant thing is going to be useless at that time. Something like bitcoin would probably be going to be useless. The market value of bitcoin is going to dump in the market with all of the cryptocurrency in the market. In the past months as the war from USA spark, they say that the market price of bitcoin increases because of the war but I don't think that is because of it. In a true world war, I just can't see bitcoin pump its market price at that time.

But the opposite may also happen, if there is a war obviously people will be looking for a thing that can retain the value of their money it's either gold or silver, I'm sure real estate assets will just be a dust after a world war so that would be a not so good idea. And here is the bitcoin, I'm not saying that people are going to demand for it but who knows, bitcoin is already recognized as a new asset class.

This idea is really interesting, in the event of a third world war, the electricity and internet infrastructure will be destroyed in almost all of the world, and these are the things that Bitcoin needs to survive !!

A true World War III would mean a huge amount of death and destruction. Far worse then World War II

If 1 or 2 or 3 billion people die and land is laid to waste  btc would falter big time.

A lot would depend on how much damage to how many countries.

Ie would a few big ones be able to not be involved in it.

Bitcoin source code is safe in the Antarctic project "vault" so we can easily revived it, although i doubt that the core devs would survive WWIII. In fact, i doubt that humanity could survive it, if it where to happen in this era. Because of the advancement of technology creating more deadly weapons of mass destruction.

How can you be sure that the internet is okay during the world war? Many satellites will be assigned for defense and reconnaissance. It would be complicated when using bitcoin or other cryptocurrency for a transaction that is not certain whether we are making transactions to other countries. Bitcoin will only be an asset as a store of money because digital currency is very safe, but it is not used for transactions. I think that world war is an unsafe place for the people of a country, we think more about safety than cryptocurrency.

How I would survive a war should be my priority including my family. I won't be able to check the price at that time since I will be busy keeping updates on what is happening and what might happen. Maybe after securing our safety, I will wonder what happened to it and might reinvest all I have if the price is low since that is a rare situation.
