Hey guys,

anyone here knows an opportunity to buy BTC with an Amex? Apple Pay or Paypal should also work if you can use the Amex there.

Please no strange P2P scam services...

I live in germany, so it should work here.

According to this article, you can do buy btc with Amex on these platforms - Coinbase, CEX.io, and Bitpanda.

I think exchanges like Kraken and Bitstamp also allows you to buy with credit card.

Through an article came to know about the exchange application abra. Through this it is possible to buy bitcoin using amex. Here it has got some limitations on the buying, $200 worth of bitcoin can be bought in a day and $1000 worth of bitcoin in a month. This article was two years old.

I just checked local bitcoins and it has a €600 markup for paying with PayPal.

You could try opening a thread on the currency exchange and accept only 1:1 but it light take time to fill. I assume you checked coinbase (who dropped credit card acceptance in the UK a few years ago and cex who I'm not sure about).

Also I remember Amex not being accepted in many places because of their high fees on cards, but I think they give good cashback if you find somewhere offering a good rate.

I have not checked the other options.
I don’t trade p2p.
And I won‘t pay 15-20% fees...

I need more like 2.000€ at once. Don‘t need any 200€ per day shit.

You are likely SOL. Especially not wanting to go through any P2P options.

Best bet is to take a cash advance from your AMEX - assuming you aren't planning on leaving this balance on there. This will open up more options for you. Other than that you can't do much as a lot of businesses don't like AMEX because they charge the highest fees for business owners; I remember paying 1-1.5% more than other credit cards I accepted. So unless you are going to get a different credit card that is accepted by exchanges you won't be buying at this time.

Everything else is P2P in some way shape or form

You can make a try on waves.exchange website. They have an internal service that allow people to exchange cash for bitcoin/crypto directly paying with credit card and I guess also AMEX should be supported.

Waves only allows Visa and Master

Thanks for reporting it I was not aware.
I have seen that you don't want use "strange P2P" but have you seen Paxful? They allow to pay with AMEX.
I think it could be an idea since there are trusted user on this platform and you don't pay a very high fees.
I am curious about it, there is any advantage for using AMEX when you buy crypto?
