In my opinion, I think that in the future, there will only be States and not countries. In other words, the highest tittle each person can have inside each State is the title of Governor. There might not be titles of presidents or prime ministers that rule each country.
I agree with you, it's only a matter of time until we will see colonies on space, living on the moon or on Mars. We might not be alive anymore to see it but what are a few hundred years compared to existence of the human race? There will probably even be space wars happening between colonies.
But why demand for space funerals? It's so expensive and you get nothing from it since you are already dead.
