Probably going to take some fork coins? Actually the risk is will be shouldered by the OP since it can be reused again by the seller even if they use an escrow there's no guarantee that the seller deleted the files or private key. For OP I think you should include your price per wallet.

Is there a provision for changing private address? Because the person who sells to you should still have the address.
What is the point of buying when you can get one for yourself..

I feel like its something about money laundering, so I wouldn't risk my safety for like $50 or even $100 knowing I can get it back with private key.

I think he is looking for a wallet that has been use before in uniswap  platform.  They are now given free uni tokens to all users  which is free money to all users that use uni swap in early stage ,not this month.that's the only possible reason I see unless he is accepting any wallet that created that year.
But as he said he want to check the wallet first and transaction to check it if he is able to claim that free tokens.

It makes sense, if that's what he said qualifies then I would offer $ 200 if you have an address that doesn't claim 400 Uni yet.
Someone is looking for unexpected profits but they have a plan to get more than what he is offering, they even provide withdrawal and trading services for 400 Uni with unfair profit sharing.

I don't understand what will you do with old ERC20 address. If you buy any wallet from any person, it will not secured for you because the seller knows account private key, keystore file or password. But if you only want for investigation for something, it is okey.

Its advantage for him if the address owner doesn't know about this event and take the free tokens for him self. He can easily ignored address that's not able to claim it .

yeah, but he is looking for an address that is older than January 1, 2018, Uniswap was released later than this date, of course he can do it just to mask his intentions, but he could easily said before January 1, 2020, and will have a same effect

What is your goal in buying an Erc20 that is already used by someone else.?
What if the wallet you have bought is not completely secure, Because someone doesn't throw away the private key after their account is sold to you.
You should consider your intention to buy someone else's Erc20, because in cases like this, it is very vulnerable to theft of assets in the wallet.
