I have been a holder of Chainlink for some time now and got in relativitly cheap around the 3 dollar mark, my question is being a Hodler and never taken profits on any of my holdings i am learning the hardway, i just wondered what peoples thoughts are on the Coin with regards to possible price in the next couple of months, or is it going to be ike most other altcoins and fall back to earth with a hard bang?

Did you see TRON and EOS? both were placed at the top 7 CMC in the past and after the release of the new platforms that have already offered better features to the users and then EOS and TRON have already kicked out from the top coins. That means the trend is always getting changed. This time chainlink is still sitting at a safe place but we can't sure if that will be last forever. This is crypto and everything is getting developed so fast.


If you are still in profit and don't worry about that but just keep watching the market to make sure you can secure your money when chainlink's hype will be gone.

I'm more willing to bet on the latter... I just can't justify the current price of LINK. I think the entire DeFi movement is a massive bubble that is apparently still inflating. While LINK may come out from the aftermath better off than most other DeFi coins, I just don't know anyone who uses LINK for what it is supposed to be used for... As an investment its in the category of "extremely speculative" whereas BTC and ETH are only "highly speculative."

Here's the thing tho: so long as we remain in a relatively bullish market, "extremely speculative" projects will flourish. Its only during bearish contractions that really exposes which projects were 100% bullshit the whole time.

The thing I don't understand about cryptocurrency is great project's will always replace with shhhxit project with just promises, coinmarketcap or coingecko ranking wise.

a. I personally still think its massively overvalued and deserves a market cap about 1/5th its size. On second thought, even with a billion dollar market cap (its currently over $5 billion) I still wouldn't touch it.

b. You can always invest whenever you'd like. I, however, wouldn't. I'd be waiting for the next big thing that isn't de-fi related as that ship has sailed.

I disagree with you about Link being overvalued, I made this mistake with Ethereum then and the price went to make ATH at $1400. The thing about investing in Crypto blue chip projects is that money enters them first and with the success of DEFI so far, I think link would have a great role to play now and in the future if DEFI is going to atract more investors

Rest assured, you are not the only holder of Link, other people are, including myself. Link hasn't done well in the last months and it perplexes me why that is. There are many projects that utilize Chainlink but the value is still around 66% down from its ATH.

Because of the projects involving Chainlink I do expect its value to resume but as far as I can tell I think this will be happening next year. I do not see signs of recovery to ATH given that even today it is still off by 66%.

Chainlink is still in the first position, so what are you afraid of? It means that investors are still in this token, just look at how it gain in the last 7 days, +26%, meaning it hasn't bottom down yet, probably some healthy correction here and there, and then followed by a massive pump. This is the same with Polkadot as well.

Couple of months? maybe it's better if you are going to see it in the long term, next year will be a good gauge specially if we enter the bull run wherein most of the top 10 altcoins are either pushing to reach their previous all time high or even surpass it. So I will advise to just HODL on it and wait for the right time to get your profits.

I don't think if the link will go back again to the previous position before the pump happened with it. In fact, if a strong coin can defend its position but if you are wanna taking the profit from your investment and then you can try to sell some and keep the rest for your future holding. This is the possible decision that you can take to get profit from your investment.

The OP should closely follow the market and the development of this particular project so if something goes awry, he can still sell it with profit. Don't get too comfortable that it will continue to rise as market movement in crypto is very fast and unpredictable. Better safeguard your funds for potential downfall rather than get cornered with unknown circumstances.

The price of link token is quite difficult to be fallen to the bottom again. I personally will not believe it will be bottomed again.
Just hodl your coin but if you are thinking you have been getting enough profit from your investment and then you can try to to sell all of your coins.
That depends on how confidence you are with our portfolios.

 I have hold some Chainlink, I want to hold a minimum of five more years.

As for me, I advise you if you bought it at a cheap price and now its price is good and you have good profits. I advise you to sell it and not keep it any more because it may drop in its price and regret losing your profits, this happened to me before, I bought a token at a cheap price and its price increased three times, but I did not I sell and after that the price went down and I regret it a lot.
The cryptocurrency market is very volatile and a bit like a gamble. Perhaps the price of a coin is good now and occupies a good place in the market, but who knows how long it will keep its place.

Chainlink belongs to the top 10 tokens/coins now in Coinmarketcap and even on other real-time data tracker. Chainlink is very consistent even the price dropped. For sure Chainlink has more surprises to come, just patiently wait for it. And to think that you just bought it for 3$ that's very lucky, even with the current price right now you're too far from losing. (Lol)

He was still sitting with his profit and there's not need to buy more like. Just try to use what he has been buying before and it's more than enough when the price will be going up again in the next pump.
The reversal trend of bitcoin can happen anytime and it's better to buy another promising coin.
I think that you should remember if you might never put all of your money in one basket.
