Haven't filed the issue because I don't know if its just me or not but yesterday I went through all (about 20 invoices) to delete them all and checked my wallet before and they're still there in the send tab?

Anyone else experiencing this on android (im 8.0)

It could be just you. Just deleted all mine and then re-logged into the app again and the part below the send tab is clear. I am using the latest version of the android app

You should report this bug to Electrum.
I am using 4.0.3 on my Android and experienced the same issue as yours. I tried to delete some invoices few times but whenever I close the app and reopen it, the deleted invoices reappear again.

I experienced this too (even for v4.2 and lower, till 4.0?), but I think it's not a bug.
It happens when you close the application without waiting for it to fully close, like using "home" and swipe out of "recent apps",
or others that may interrupt the normal application shutdown process.

TL;DR: I managed to delete the persistent invoice by waiting for the application to shutdown after I tap back button twice.
Note that it might freeze during application closing process.

This means that Electrum doesn't save changes to the wallet file in real time but only when you close the app properly (I wonder how many users do it!).
Other workarounds, without having to close the app:
    - Open another wallet (supposing you have more than one) then go back to the main one.
    - Change the wallet password.
I tested both and invoices were deleted.

Ah so it's an android bug? I thought the default shutdown was swiping across not a double back button.

I may as well just delete my data and start again every time it's potentially easier (only got two wallets).

It's more related to how Electrum saves the changes. I f it was related to Android, then we would have the same problem with payment requests and created invoices not only deleted invoices.


I may as well just delete my data and start again every time it's potentially easier (only got two wallets).
Do you mean deleting the wallet then recovering it from seed? What I suggested above sound easier since you already have two wallets:

Besides, by removing your wallet completely, you will lose all it's meta-data not only invoices.

"Swiping across"? You mean on the button bar? As far as I'm aware, that basically just allows you to switch from one app to another in your "Recent Items" history, it doesn't close anything down. Traditional Android UX was to use the back button to "exit" an app, but it's changed a number of times over the various iterations of Android.

What I do know is that Electrum doesn't have an "exit" menu item, instead you press back button once (when NOT in a "submenu"), and you'll get the "(!) Press again to exit" prompt shown on the screen. Pressing "back" again a 2nd time then shuts the app down.
