There were many videos already posted in YouTube. I'm jealous that they get to have their Ps5's or it's just from someone who can move freely inside and out of Sony.

Looks awesome the new PS5 but I don't think I am going to buy it. Not sure what is going on with the pricing, but why are games costing in Europe 80€ and in USA only 70$. I find 80 bucks just too much for 1 game. Maybe I will wait a little bit and see how this will change in the future.

The pricing was around $399 for the Digital Edition and $499 for the other type. Pricing differs on the location and demand plays a particular role for it.

Don't be surprised with the pricing, that's normal unless it's way beyond to the actual price they've shown.

$100 for a Bluray drive?. This is as nonsensical as it gets. Why not use flash memory for game distribution? Sony even have their own thing that is not SD but almost. I think the manufacturing costs of making two redundant models would have reduced dramatically by offering just one with the flash card slot (or even usb thumb for what is worth it).

Also, optical media gets damaged. Not just the disc, but the lens and the mechanism that drives it. By this point i seriously question the existence of an unit with optical media support. And this unit isn't meant to have any backward compatibility anyway, it was the perfect moment to drop it entirely.

I wouldn't be surprised if this edition gets quickly buried later, and "digital" becomes the only one.

Indeed we are already past the optical disc era. And a flash based format could even take game updates without taking precious disk space in the console.

I guess I'll stick to my PC, less nonsense, more freedom.
