The concept and the team who are managing the project is the most important thing about a project, these two things shouldn't be taken slightly at all, if team are inexperienced their project will have problem later, professionals can easily face any rising problem

For beginners who want to invest in altcoins then they have to look first at the movements that happen over the next few days for new altcoins because many altcoins are only pump for a moment and ultimately no longer worth it, to be more secure then choose altcoin in the top 10 on a particular market because the coin already has the potential to rely on us in investing and do not be fooled with altcoins that only last a moment and that's where many investors feel disadvantaged ,and we should also look at the team working on a project if they are always active then the project will definitely be a success.

There are several things to consider before investing in any project. 1, The problem they want to solve. 2, Who are the team members. (their profile and experience) 3, The roadmap/blueprint. 4, The infrastructure on ground etc Positive answers from the above is will be a boost to invest in a project

Before investing in altcoins, I study reviews and analyze the price of these coins. Sometimes everything lies on the surface and it is immediately clear whether it is worth investing in a coin or not. But sometimes everything is difficult for me to decide on the selection and I resort to sites with analytics and predictions of the price of a certain altcoin. For example, these prediction will help me decide whether to invest in XYO coin.

Products and solutions are the main things that we must prioritize in a project, and the second is technology to realize these solutions. A project without a solution is only a project that is used to make quick profits

A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.
Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?
And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?
Upon choosing what altcoins are worth to invest I am looking first at their whitepaper and their roadmap. Through this, I can able to know what are their goals, the product or services they made, and how was the campaign. Next is the developer team and its partners. Of course, you don't want to invest in some projects where developers hide their info, by this you can already tell if they unto something shady or not. Lastly, was their crowdfunding, like will they able to reach their soft cap and hardcap with their promise date or not. For now, that's how I look up altcoins if they are worthy or not.

Both the good and the shit coin so much look alike, infact some of the shit coin looks more genuine that the real ones, to know those one that are worth investing in, trace the history of the manager and the team, how many project have they successfully managed, check the feasibility of attaining the hard cap, you can get more of this on the white paper.

I looking for the meaning of the project, the team that is developing it and how it can add to society. The market value is added after having a base that I mentioned and without that we can be sure of failure, even with a pump the project without base doesn't last long. There are more than 7700 projects on ranking site(coinmarketcap) and 300 are successful. I'm not being pessimistic, but showing the reality and lack of responsibility of the developers.

Note* I write about projects that can do something for society. Now whether this will happen depends not on me, but on the project team. I'm just a writer... DYOR

I am not so good at determining which altcoin were worth investing in but i am doing my best to look for the best reason for a certain altcoin like i did my deep technical analysis and white paper review of altcoin that can convinced me to invest in it. Up until now i am still favoured in ethereum for it was already proven its project ability but i am not set aside the other good altcoins like ripple and binance.

You are right. responsibility of the developer is very much perversion. they only work on their road map a few years running. some even have only 1 or 2 years of platform development. after they are listed on the exchange and the developer leaves the project then creates a new project for profit.

make sure you upgrade yourself with the fundamentals of investments. there are ups and down. when it comes to crypto, do your own research. also learn the basics of trading and investments in cryptocurrency. most New starts ups are hungry to make money and not to build a solid project. So, always be careful before investing your money in crypto projects.

Nope, shitcoin does have a good promotion team sometimes, but if you do some research on how they will use the technology they will make and how they will provide solutions to existing problems, you will know the difference between shitcoin and a quality project.

Team being active and always roll out updates is a very good point to take note of while investing in a coin. This shows the project is still alive, but this doesn't mean a project with an active team can't rug pull. I'll rather say a well-known active team gives greater hope for holders, an anonymous team being super active is no guarantee the project won't scam. Example PAMP scammed recently after team was active for some time. Also another point to consider is how great is the product, which known companies or organizations are backing the project? How is their marketing like? Where is the coin listed? These are some other factors to consider while investing.

I do not invest in ICOs or projects that in its early phase, I only putting my money on altcoins that are listed wherein there are some guarantee that my money can make money but still there are risks when choosing an altcoin and that skill is important to learn because there are investors and traders who do not know how to pick a right altcoin. A good altcoin have a billion market capitalization where its daily volume is also big where it indicating that there are many people willing to purchase that coin.

You gave good examples and from this the idea of choosing coin/s to support should be based from how deep you track the project, it's more on the offer usage and how investors see the same value. If there are community who support the projects it's a good sign to begin with, you can track the progress before you fully invest your money.

An altcoin is worth investing in if it there are a lot of investors that are patronizing its services and also its product, look at the shitcoins right now where investors are not patronizing it and you can see that its market spread in bid and ask board is too wide wherein its liquidity is not so good. Market capitalization is also a factor so you must consider it before trading an altcoin.

1. The project utilities 2. The team level of experience with blockchain 3. Past companies the team works under 4. Partnerships of the project 5. Exchange the project team target
After following all these one need to invest only what they can afford to lose only
To all of this I would add checking if the developers are who they say they are, it is very easy on the Internet to hide your identity, scammers know this and they take many steps not only to hide their identity but also to fake it and try to make it seem as if they have more experience than what they actually have, and this is very dangerous because people for the most part look at the developers to try to tell if the project is going to be successful or not and if you do not take the time to do that research most likely you're going to get scammed.

This is a very common thing in this market. If you watch the market properly then you will find maybe 50-60% of the all project goes scam or failed after release or time of release. So it's really hard to tag a project it is scam or not. Cause sometimes some projects looks so strong and good but eventually they go scan after some times. So I would say first check the team members are they legit or not and are they capable of what they are doing or not. Then check their whaite paper they have one or not and are they following their roadmap or not. And if they ofeer something that is kind of impossible then leave them there.

just like jacs, the one that you currently participated . i have seen many users in this forum that wears a jacs signature and i always wonder that maybe the project is really promising but not all that have been patronize by many individuals are legit because that can also be an example of hype to gather more advertisers so that they can gain more exposure then many investors will invest on it but the end can be tragic . tbh till now i find it hard to identify a legit project , if im given a chance to invest i just go on the older projects .
