This year Bitcoin is increasingly popular and many people are buying Bitcoin, therefore the number of Bitcoin ATMs this year has
increased dramatically, compared to 2019. This is a good sign for mass adoption, therefore, collecting as much Bitcoin as possible
is what we have to do now. Because the drastic increase in Bitcoin ATMs should be able to make Bitcoin prices go up.

Really nice to know this news! It means Bitcoin is getting familiar and accepted worldwide. In 2020, Bitcoin seems to have good increases in adoption, and more people are involved in this business. This is a good sign that people become easier to transfer or get Bitcoin. Even sometimes the transaction fees on ATM is a bit higher, but with many ATM Bitcoins around the world, more people know what the Bitcoin is.

I am pleased with the increase in the installation of ATMs around the world, which indicates that user demand is growing. These are good signs that Bitcoin and cryptos are growing in the knowledge of new users. If someone does not know about Bitcoin they will learn what it is by seeing a user operating an ATM and that will be the beginning for any crypto enthusiast.

As of the time I was writing this, there are 10115 crypto ATMs in the world. I checked this directly on coinatmradar (https://coinatmradar.com/).

Well, your response was posted 2 days ago. As of the time of this response of mine, there is already 10,213 crypto ATMs worldwide, according to the same source, coinatmradar.com.

I mean, wow! Can you believe it? Just shy of 100 ATMs were already installed in just a couple of days. This number is really rising fast.

By the way, does coinatmradar.com also deduct from their count those ATMs which are already non-functional?

It seems to me that over time the number of ATM will decrease. After all, we are committed to the digitalization of society, right?
I think it will be a long time, unless the country that legalizes Crypto transactions changes its mind and bans it. This Crypto ATM is linked to a developing digital currency and it's still in its infancy, just look at the age of BTC, if I'm not mistaken, it's only ten years old. Technology adoption is also growing, that is a sign crypto is starting to be accepted, and crypto ATMs are increasing, because I think users have alternatives in crypto transactions, such as bank-issued fiat money ATMs.

<…> By the way, does coinatmradar.com also deduct from their count those ATMs which are already non-functional?

If we check the Growth charts on their page, we’ll see that they have lines that represent a downward drop in the number of installed ATMs. You won’t see that on the Worldwide chart not the US chart (since the overall monthly number has always been increasing), but the other chars do (i.e. https://coinatmradar.com/charts/growth/austria/). The downward slopes are recent, so it is been kept up-to-date to a certain degree.

ATMs are removed (or at least changed to "closed" as status) in accordance to user reports as described here: https://coinatmradar.com/blog/check-and-report-bitcoin-atm-status/

The year 2020 has witnessed a surge in the number of ATMs supporting digital coins.

The total number of Bitcoin ATMs has now passed 10,000 worldwide.

READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2020/09/21/bitcoin-atms-surge-as-there-are-now-over-10000-bitcoin-atms-worldwide/
It's not practically worldwide if the vast majority of ATMs is in the US or, more generally, North America. And that's indeed the case with ATMs. Just have a look at the diagram shared in a different thread about ATMs:

It's like in my home country at the university we often have those "international conferences" where 95% of people are from our country, but someone is indeed from other countries. While it qualifies as 'international', the word itself is perceived differently. So while these ATMs are worldwide, it's not the sort of worldwide people have in mind when hearing this.
Not to mention an interesting point about a downward trend that DdmrDdmr pointed out.

Really nice to know this news! It means Bitcoin is getting familiar and accepted worldwide.
I am pleased with the increase in the installation of ATMs around the world, which indicates that user demand is growing.

Not really, across the world, out of the 564 new BATMs coinradar reports as new since September 1st , 522 !! , of them were installed in the US.
So actually, 92% of all new BATMs installed this month were located in the US, which means that the difference is growing at an even higher pace, and if we look at the numbers on a per capita stats is far worse for the rest of the world.

we are currently in the initial adoption phase where people want to have ways of converting their fiat to bitcoin so things like ATMs and exchanges are hot these days. in a decade from now that bitcoin will take more of a currency shape, they will also go away as people get paid in bitcoin and use it the same way they use fiat and you don't need an ATM for that.

I don't think it's like that totally, there are plenty of people looking for the ATMs as a way of cashing out without involving banks and having to pay taxes, I've seen ATMs running out of funds in two days although just earlier they had 100k euros in them. Also, those ATMs can be used in some other ways, imagine you don't want to travel with a ton of cash across the state, you just have to know a guy with two of those machines, and on each side of the country and ...

This insane growth for something that charges people 5-10% on purchases has also some darker parts...

Bitcoin ATMs are really increasing in number immediately and this is a good bitcoin adoption signal for us.

There are still a lot of places that doesn't have bitcoin ATMs which is still a problem to them.

Hoping that more and more countries will engage in this kind of development and adoption so that anyone who wants to withdrew their money in a bitcoin ATM will lessen their inconvenience. Imagine if most of the countries already implemented Bitcoin ATMs and spread it all over the world, in that time, bitcoin will really become accepted by the people and the governments.

for me with the existence of bitcoin atm not yet and it is not very important because what has been done so far is good and very easy to exchange bitcoin to fiat and using atm which is used to be done is easier and simpler. the existence of a bitcoin ATM, maybe a lot of people need at least the existence it has begun to be recognized, for me the impact is only that if the matter of convenience is clearly easier which I have said above.

For sure the addition of more ATMs in cities and communities is a rough estimator of public perspective on BTC and cryptocurrency in general. However, looking only at the numbers of ATMs is a little misleading as some of these may not have been legitimately installed and regulated, so a distinction is necessary. Nonetheless, it's encouraging to see that with more crypto based projects the value of digital currency becomes more widespread.

This is a promising article and project but 10,000 is still a low number and most of these ATM's are available within a specific continent and that is a sign that its a good investment since the countries studied on how Bitcoin publicity can help their financial status. These would encourage some countries to study it too and improve it at their own use.

This just means bitcoin has been adopting worldwide. More ATM machines indicates a good progress about bitcoin technology. I do hope, they'll add more atm machines here in our country since there are still few in selected areas only.

On the other hand, there are some btc ATM machines that are not trusted and taken down because it wasn't licensed and build for some other illegal purposes.

See this issue here;

It's nice to see that bitcoin ATM is growing because it just means that crypto recognition is also increasing. However, bitcoin ATMs around the world are not really distributed well because the majority are just in a single place which means the growth of crypto recognition and adoption is not noticeable in other countries. It would be better to see that other countries also have a growing number of bitcoin ATMs not only in the US. Here in my country, even if there's a kinda positive view of crypto, there are no bitcoin ATMs that much.
