The scammers in the crypto community will not cease to take cheap advantage of newbies using successfully conducted projects to scam them.
A team of scammers are at it again using the name of UNISWAP to conduct a fake giveaway to steal from the unsuspecting newbies. The giveaway is announced through a medium post claimed to be UNISWAP's with other scam team members commenting to give testimonies about what they've earned from the giveaway to attract people to be their victims. A check on Uniswap Twitter and telegram channel doesn't contain anything about the giveaway. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

At the moment there are dozens of scammers especially i see many fake and scam airdrop bots now that claim to be giving away defi tokens but they act as taking your data and infact you can lose your assets in your wallet. So be very careful and check the authenticity of each amd every offer that is presented to you to stay safe.

It was expected especially after huge giveaway by uniswap, scammers are now active and they will lure you into phishing airdrops and giveaway to scam and rob you all your coin holdings so it is our responsibility to not fall for these scammers.

Legit giveaways don't ask any money, when someone ask money from us then its easy to find them as scammers.Probably there will be new projects with the same prototype so they can lure people legitimately.

I think people who have already claimed the big airdrop do not need to be greedy to chase scam giveaways now.
I have seen people who were liquidity providers making a killing amount of free UNI absolutely free.
If you are in this space for few months im sure you will not fall for scam giveaways because it is like everyday thing in this market.

A check on Uniswap Twitter and telegram channel doesn't contain anything about the giveaway. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.
If you have the complete detail, then start a scam accusation presenting the details and the medium article you came across and then users might be thinking twice before giving the scammers the opportunity. I find it hard to understand the new DeFi giveaways and the swaps, i saw that uniswap was giving away thousand of dollars worth of coins to anyone who used their application, but what i am curious to know is who all from this forum got these tokens and how you came to know about the project and how to look for new projects like these and how to avoid fakes.

One of the important things to understand is, scammers leverage a moving trend or hype to scam people. Before it was Defi hype, wherein many projects sprung up with no verifiable use case, hence riding on the hype created already by other Defi projects just to scam unsuspecting investors. Now they have moved to Uniswap to continue from where they stopped and it will continue that way because most people are easily moved and deceived into believing most giveaways since a good number of them comes with mouth-watering rewards capable of blinding the greedy ones.
So in all, let's be careful of whatever these scammers brings up all in the name of giveaways and so on, checking the project's twitter page, telegram group etc will go a long way in identifying the truth.

This is a timely and accurate warning, there are several airdrops of Uniswap everwhere on twitter, telegram airdrop groups and even emails. Be careful and do not share your private with anyone. Also, do not click any links in your email from uniswap. Uniswap will never send you an email.

Stay vigilant, and be jealous of your wallet.
Always dyor before joining any airdrop campaign.

These UNISWAP scamming issue is also similar to the rave of the moment of De-Fis project some this so-called projects had been so hyped that many newbies fell for it, its quite unfortunate that some scrupulous individuals are now using cryptos to fraud people in the of giveaway such as this UNISWAP these are like bait used to attract the gullible newbies with bogus bonuses.
I think there is need to create more awareness about these fraudulent activities going out there, else newbies funds will continually stolen.

Scammers will always try their best to rekt those naive users. Don't trust anyone if they are already asking your private keys. If it is legit, they will never ask your private keys or passkeys. But there will be people who will fall on this trap for the thought that they will still get more. But the opposite will happen. Once these scammers got a hold of your wallet, there's no turning back, they will rip your funds as much as they can.

And there will be bunch of victims coming for that copying Uniswap. Because of the huge airdrop that it has given to its beta users and supporters, they'll use the same scheme to attract those people. They will give that example to promote their project and because of the success that it took and the people loved it. The ones that are likely to be scammed as those people that will also take the chance of thinking that those the same projects can grow as Uni.

The scammers are pretty clever to actually use this recent airdrop to scam greedy newbies. But to be honest, how do people fall for this? Isn't it common sense to not send money to anyone especially to someone you don't know? But the harsh reality doesn't want us that. A lot of people who use UNI doesn't even know Bitcointalk and probably won't read this thread.

This had been an old strategy of scammers, they use successful projects to scam other people especially people who trust successful and generous projects. Always ask or check their official social media accounts or telegram before trusting giveaways. People are easily victimized by this kind of scam because of greed.

They should at least know that once a team asks for money in return of tokens, that is surely a fake and scam ones. UNISWAP is being famous even in social media, they are tons of advertisements.

Others are already benefitted from this and sell off it at $5 to $7 with tons of holdings and rewards from airdrops. I was late from buying at low price but others were legitimately got a huge return from this uniswap.

Just curious, how are they scamming people then? All they are saying is that they are giving away under unisawp. How are they stealing? Are they telling people to pay or give something to enter the giveaway? If that is the case, then only stupid/dumb people will fall for those kind of scam. I mean, its the most common way of scamming people and they should know it.
If its like they are asking for completing KYC or submitting identity documents, then people should avoid those. Not worth selling your documents for some shit giveaway.

Anyone who message you for money and tryint to convinced you to give out some cash is probably a scam. There are too many impersonators especially on telegram, will disguise as someone like an admin and pm you if you got spotted asking about contributions or anything related or involved with money.

It's not a giveaway if they ask for money! Scammers ask you to send some money in return they will give you more, they
say to unlock the funds. It's a scam, and I am not sure how they trick people into sending them money. It's just one trick that
scammers use, but there are other tricks too. Scammers are getting better, and they have better masks, nowadays people should
be extra careful with money, with whom they talk on the internet, and above all when they send money to make sure they double
checked everything.

Take a good look at the alts bounty section, there are so many Defi Airdrops and bounties and most of them looks really suspicious but still many people are joining without any second thoughts, it is equally the same with this fake uni Airdrops, many people are rushing in because they feel this is a chance for another uni Airdrop, anyone who fall for them will be sorry.
