Mad lions is an obvious favourite here, but the odds are definitely disproportionate. I have the impression that nobody is taking the Brazilian team seriously and they may surprise the solid but not prominent Europeans

I am no export in LoL, only played a little myself and watch some tournaments from time to time. MAD Lions have a good team but not sure if they can make it to the finals - there are plenty of good teams out there. I like G2 Esports from Europe a lot more and Top Esports from China seem to be the favourite. I will probably just bet for the finals.

The odds are good for INTZ to not really take a gamble on it. MAD Lions are definitely the better team when it comes to recent match performance but then again INTZ are doing some things that sometimes upsets tier 1 - 2 teams when everyone least expects it. I'll go low on INTZ on this one just for those juicy odds since it's no doubt that they'll get outplayed early - mid game by MAD Lions, but it's still worth a gamble due to the comeback potential of the underdogs on crucial teamfights.

Basically, I agree with you. The funny thing is that mad lions is a bit like this team.  Also sometimes there is an awful lot of chaos in their game.
Now we have a failure. Mad won but I think INIT was close. They had a loss in the rally all the time, but in the team fights they should win 5v5. Urgot 10/1 would win this game. Alistar in the last action of the match was caught like a total noob and buried the score probably already before. The support was very weak.

Anyway, the match was not one-sided and the odds on + 5.5 or even 10.5 were also solid.

I can't find info about it.

I have read it will be a limited audience due to Covid, but do not know what many people that includes.
Ah great! Thanks for that info.
I see that it's starting to get back a little bit although that's still not the normal setup for tournaments. It's just good to see that they're going back LAN.

Was quite bummed on how INTZ rotation held the early - mid game but was not able to carry it out on big teamfights. Alistair was the weak link of that game and Ashe just can't seem to find the farm that he really needs in order to do some decent damage on MAD Lions' supports. Anyway it was a good game and boy that Urgot really got some skills, but solo plays and kills isn't really enough and the supps and especially their ADC need some reviews on what they did wrong on the early phase of the game.

I think they will push through with the LAN events in a 'bubble-system' like the one that is adapted by the NBA to keep the whole league safe. Though I have doubts and concerns on that particular system since if one of them catches some outside virus, everyone inside has a high possibility of catching it too, and it's a contagion within a confined space. Idk how Riot would address the cons of this but it seems that there's no stopping the Worlds despite the scare of COVID-19.

Unlike NBA, I think it's more expensive to maintain a bubble for esports like LOL. In a way that they also have to provide fitness for the players inside the bubble to maintain their health and safety.
But if that's what they will come up with, it's going to be the same audience as the NBA, audience will still go online. I don't find it that much difference with online tournament if their LAN is going to be like that.

MAD Lions — Legacy
eSports · LoL · World Championship
Monday · 28 Sep, 2020 · 11:00

Bet: Legacy @ 5.05 1xbet

Mad is not playing for anything and will not come out of the first place for sure , they will play in the second round anyway. Legacy in opposition to them has 2 matches and hypothetical games on the 1st place so it certainly has much greater motivation to win. Mad does not delight so far.

At the bookie played quite safely but it wasn't necessary because the advantage was concrete!

No choice but to go online and just watch the whole tournament and this has been done by all of the people who have stayed at home. We're all good watching tournaments because everybody is at quarantine and at home.
I'm only thinking that if league do this, they really are working to make it happen. AFAIK, CSGO is doing the same.

Mad Lions is definitely in advantage as they were able to launch a one win while INTZ is struggling to get their first win. INTZ has 3 games and they lost all the games while Mad Lions was able to get 1 win and 2 loses within their 3 games.

E-Sports is about skills, teamwork, strategy and hard work in order to get an easy win. If odds will be good then betting to Mad Lions is a good choice if there will be no throw that will happen in their game.

Well yes the League of legends world tournament held without audience, probably because of the pandemic they need to maintain safety and yes league has live broadcast of every matches everyday and you can watch it in the respective youtube channel which is LoL Esports.

If it is like that the audience is not the same as before but people can still watch online since they will stream it online for sure. It would be great for other to be able to watch when they can't watch in person due to limited audience. All in all, watching online will be a safe to do to avoid health problem.
No choice but to go online and just watch the whole tournament and this has been done by all of the people who have stayed at home. We're all good watching tournaments because everybody is at quarantine and at home.
I'm only thinking that if league do this, they really are working to make it happen. AFAIK, CSGO is doing the same.

better if they can do live or non love telecast on t.v  . i have seen once but it was a different moba . in that way the quality of the video is good because no loading or buffers are going to experience .

i dont know now because our t.v isnt fixed yet and i have a difficulty of watching live streams online because of limited internet and poor loading  . watching in the stage is an advantage but unfortunately there is still a pandemic that limits us to do this  .

Live streams for tournaments has been happening since the pandemic. Telecast on TV? if the organizers are willing to do that and pay for an airtime to a tv network, it's possible.
Might be for some games but not entirely for the whole tournament unless they have all the means for the budget.

Check this:

https://lol.gamepedia.com/2020_Season_World_Championship#Media

Mostly, games are streamed on Youtube and Twitch but you might want to check the other media on that list as it might have a cable channel supported by your provider. And in the current internet development, so unusual to see those buffering even using a data connection.

The first lgc match is now under way and I think they are much better than r7. They have smarter decisions on the map and heroes' picks. The LGD got still better skills but the LGC does not make stupid mistakes and unrelenting moves as much as the R7. There is no need to deceive the LGC has much more experience in bo5 .Now is 1:0 for LGD live but one map can leagacy can win because they play quite not bad at all

I don't know if you know, but these transmissions have very long delays. Compare the results of the matches and the score on the screen in Twitch. This is unfair at the very beginning. The bookmaker smokes you without soap ...

Oh really? I didn't know that. So if you watch the games in the client you will be ahead to viewers watching from stream? Or is it delayed too and only the people in the audience are watching in real time? Maybe there is chance to exploit it if you have someone watching the matches live and you bet at home talking to them on the phone. I saw something similar happening in tennis betting, where they would bet right before the score was transmitted to the bookmakers.

Hi guys, is this game LAN or tournaments in LOL are still played online just like the others? What do I mean by LAN is with the audience.
I can't find info about it.

I have read it will be a limited audience due to Covid, but do not know what many people that includes.

The audience won't matter cause the championship will be live on streaming. We will cheer at home on our favorite team. Unlike other 5vs5 games, LoL is much fun and thrilling to watch. The skills of the players are unique to their identity. Although the audiences are limited in the live show, the match will be fun to watch from home with everyone who are playing this game. Unlike the championships from 2019 like we see in the picture, the cheers of the crowd will be limited this time.

Either way, it is one of the first tournaments where the competitors are on site. You can already see the differences in playing on the big stage and in handling the stress. Playing at home online vs. live games is always two different stories. This can be seen even now in ESL, where the average team wins the tier 1 and sometimes definitely.

I don’t much about LOL since I prefer to play DOTA but this tournament for sure will also pay huge amount of prizes to be won, so I’ll try to bet on the winning team and will search for the last year performance of the participants. Online gaming are indeed growing, many tournament are coming so start looking for your winning team now.

I'm wishing that this could happen for other esports too a little by little. The motivation with a live audience on their side is very different than just playing online.
And if it happens, they shouldn't compromise the health of everyone even if the number of live audience is limited.

The good thing here is that there would be no contact person to person when you do deal with online tournaments.Yeah its pretty boring not to see any crowd specially on Championship times.

Im a esport lover and you can really feel the thrill where you do hear out some cheers and chants around.

Every fan of e-sport has no reason to complain. In fact, among all sports, we are in the best possible situation than anyone else. And notice what a coincidence that just as esport has suddenly become popular, covid has arrived.

As for the tournaments themselves without spectators. The scene itself and offline competition is already very much. Lack of fans is a big financial loss. But fans are in Internet to which every pro gamer also learnt from the beginning in opposition to a football player on a field.

Research are inspired by other experienced CSGO players from https://pro.eslgaming.com/  and  LOL ex-players and esports bettors from esporttalk.org , esportal and reddit.com and discord

Yeah, we're in the situation that we can't complain. We still have them to watch through streaming if they are grinding. I've heard that there's also another LAN event but it's only in China and no other foreign teams were invited.
The last three days is going to be played through a stadium.

The first day of the appropriate group stage of the championship. On the first fire a very crazy Flyqest vs power of TES. Top Esports Challenger as a strong favourite but 6.5 at 1xbet is a big exaggeration. I would give within 4.5 max. FlyQeust can play solidly and very confidently and already in NA was too often underestimated.

A very stupid start to the top lance "solo" and volibear lose with .. minions. Later on, you could see that even 1/3 of them can make differences. If it wasn't for that, maybe flyqest could fight. And so it was TES that usually made its professorship advantage. What I liked was that flyqest fought quite bravely and you can see that there is potential. Unfortunately, the skills are a little less.

A great match for Machi vs Team Liquid.
Good odds picked up just before the 2.91 match!

Now it's a tough match, but I'm still for the last match today of Fnatic vs  LGD Gaming  / LGD at 2.15 much better mechanically. Both at the beginning without conviction but for me LGD here should be favoured here

Yesterday the LGD won +++  and it was a good course!

Sorry now my info so late. Matchi  started the match and immediately made a mistake (0:1 ;/)

But I believe in och game . The odds are very sharp. now 6.5 on the machi and I play it (machi vs g2)

Man this tournament happens every year and this is actually played at LAN servers and not online, there were some leagues that are being played online and that is because of the obvious pandemic problems but this LOL Worlds event is actually happening at LAN and there are some really good teams this time, I will try and break down a few teams for everyone

JD Gaming : Solid team planning and execution.
G2 : Really nice team and some big players in caps and Jankos.
Damwon : The best team and the most aggressive team.

There are some really good ones apart from these too so let's see who wins this time.

We're two days smarter than that, but it makes me wonder:

JD Gaming : Solid team planning and execution.
G2 : Really nice team and some big players in caps and Jankos.
Damwon : The best team and the most aggressive team.

There are some really good ones apart from these too so let's see who wins this time.

I do not see any other candidates.

In fact, G2 has very little chance. Their biggest asset is madness, and I think they are the only ones who will play the vabank vs Damwon

better if they can do live or non love telecast on t.v  . i have seen once but it was a different moba . in that way the quality of the video is good because no loading or buffers are going to experience .

Check this:

https://lol.gamepedia.com/2020_Season_World_Championship#Media

Mostly, games are streamed on Youtube and Twitch but you might want to check the other media on that list as it might have a cable channel supported by your provider. And in the current internet development, so unusual to see those buffering even using a data connection.

I don't know if you know, but these transmissions have very long delays. Compare the results of the matches and the score on the screen in Twitch. This is unfair at the very beginning. The bookmaker smokes you without soap ...
Actually that was happening in the LEC and LCS but if you closely see then you will understand that delays in stream never happened in the LPL and LCK games because of the fact that these games were played in LAN and while the LCS and LEC were played from players at their home so they had to delay stream to maintain the integrity of the game so that no one can cheat the opponent by looking at the stream and knowing exactly where the enemies are located and hence planning according to it.

I don't mind delays in streams as long as they maintain integrity and at worlds as you can see there is absolutely no delay apart from a few seconds which is normal and doesn't matter at all.

I didn't really expect that TSM would fall as early as now, omg doublelift's hand kinda rusty I guess compare to chinese and korean players. I'm rooting for SKT since then but  they failed to come up to worlds this year, this kinda sad and then I rooted for TSM at the start then this happened. You guys got any team than TOP?

I've just read this update through an article and esports page. I'm not very much knowledgeable to LOL teams as I'm still trying to test and learn it.
But, just like you, many are very much disappointed for losing early.

The manner in which DWG destroyed JDG in the first meeting actually made me feel like there is absolutely no competition against them unless TOP esports can string together a good performance and make sure they don't rely on knight to carry them because teams like Damwon Gaming are too good to rely on a single player and will punish brutally just like they punished JDG and they can make teams look tier-3 teams at their best.

I am favoring TOP and DWG and maybe a small chance for teams like Suning and LGD because they have a super teamwork based game and the synergy between players is really worth mentioning too.

I cannot see how EU teams can win because G2 looked poor in the LEC and there is no way Liquid can win after what I saw them doing against Machi.

TSM was honestly quite a HUGE disappointment this worlds. Heck, the issue of them being destroyed is already being laughed at by a lot of players right now. Gengi and FNC are both playing pretty well, compared to how TSM was just literally a sad team right now imo. Damwon being at the top of their group stage seems natural to me, they were always a strong team after all. My take on why SKT failed? They're still in the middle of integrating with each other. It's sad to see, yes, but well, they were on the top for a few years, but they failed to take the opportunity to improve from there sadly enough.

I cannot see how EU teams can win because G2 looked poor in the LEC and there is no way Liquid can win after what I saw them doing against Machi.
I'm still going to root for G2 though. It's rather understandable how their chances are pretty low though, but if I were to pick between Liquid and G2? I'd go G2 all the way.

Agree, it's a 9-man sleep bruh. When spica pulled a 5-man lilting lullaby, his 4 teammates are standing there like they're been affected with it. Tho, I respect their effort to make it in worlds but still, it's a huge disappointment for having 0-6 on the group stage. There are many TSM fans out there, they should triple the effort next time. Gen.G is pretty good during the group stage, managed to defeat TSM and LGD, and having a standing of 5-1.

I guess we have to say goodbye to UOL later if they didn't win 2-0.

Update: Like what i've said. it's goodbye UOL.

There is no other team that can have G2 style of playing. They are actually good. Having no radical strategy does not mean that they are a poor team. Most of all, they are one of the experienced teams out there who have been qualified for the WORLD for many years. Just wait and see how they will perform this year

Quarter-final is really near and this time, there will be no more jokes. They will bring everything they have on the table. Whether their irresistible weird playstyle will rule the WORLD or they will become a reasonably strategic team

I love G2 but this year, If they meet Sunning, I will turn my back on them haha

better if they can do live or non love telecast on t.v  . i have seen once but it was a different moba . in that way the quality of the video is good because no loading or buffers are going to experience .

Check this:

https://lol.gamepedia.com/2020_Season_World_Championship#Media

But I am not talking here about Internet connection delays but about unfairness to the general public. Bookmakers somehow have faster results than us, and this has nothing to do with some kind of internet connection.

I do not know. G2 is good and I like their creativity and cunning. But just because they are experienced and have won a lot does not mean that they are outstanding in what they do. Their success is largely due to the fact that they were somehow the first. It is a brutal truth and perhaps a little unfair, but that is how I see it. Of course, they are the best in Europe, without a doubt.

In fact, I played it right after the group draw. And it was rather worth it. 3:0 course for TES per 2.55 at Pinnacle ,  chance for fnatic to shine on one map but rather stomp

TES vs Fnatic
Bet: Correct Score 3:0
Odds 2.55
Stake: 4/10

A brave decision. Singed on top. All surprised. And they're not doing anything to each other on the tes team! Wow. Europe 1st map 1:0. Can they win it? I don't believe what I saw. TES did not play at all on this map. Maybe they have not woken up yet?

I have really bad fell about it, but I think SN lost their energy; they were near the LPL champs.
I don't need them to begin losing as they did previously. In any case, They worked superbly in their past match.
They won 3-1 against JD Gaming, and I wish best of luck for future matches.

They were considered to be black horses from the beginning but nobody took it seriously. The team was very brave and it paid off. I think that in the finals they missed it a bit and played it too conservatively.

On the other hand. Top korean team was really outstanding all season at home. Robust so much. They practically did not make any mistakes this year.

I was a huge fan of LOL back in 2014 I used to play a lot and watch I was a huge fan of SKT but I stopped playing at 2017.
Now that they have a mobile version (LOL Wild Rift) I got backed since I could easily play it anytime I want in any place I want.
I haven't watch any tournament so far but I think I would still go bet on Korean teams for World Championship.

Not really a fan to this game because it is look like a copy of dota2 where in dota2 is way more known compare to this game. However, I was surprise that many players had played this game but again mobile legend was introduce and that people are turning to dota2 and LOL to mobile legend. Anyway, LOL now has too becoming one of the interesting games nowadays especially that we are in pandemic staying home is advise and that well have more time to chose and play a game we like. It should be variety of game to be played so it will be more fun.

This is a copy of the maniacs who made maps for warcraft 3. I remember how you played it then. Maps created by regular users and you played better than a typical campaign.
Warcraft didn't use the potential and  blizzard completely wasted this. Riot copied the idea and won.

I love playing LOL in computer then me and my opponents will have a betting game. The team who will win will take home the money we down for the bet. But now what we are playing is wild rift and mobile legends. Its kinda easy to play because it is handy. We can still play betting game if we want to. And also we are joining tournaments in order to tests our skills.

I completely don't understand how you can play comfortably on your phone. After all, this will never replace a keyboard and mouse. It's like with a pen and a piece of paper. It will always be even though it should not be.
