LTC started 2011 with limited 84m total supply. currently mined 66m (%22 left)

this was 2015~2017 (LTC-BTC)
LTC pumped from 0.0032 btc and passed 0.02 btc (+%600).

and this 2018~2020 (currently)

source :

History could repeat itself.
Litecoin is undervalued currently and it would see huge pump by the next weeks.

Litecoin is just a fork of bitcoin and follows the bitcoin chart mainly, I should have known it would dump when Tom Lee said he sold all of his litecoins when it was around 100$ in 2017 , Of course, he knew it wouldn't stay that high for a long time that is what that made him the chief of litecoin , Maybe if it brings something innovative into the market and crypto community it can gather some attentions again till then I avoid trading it , if I want to do that I would rather go with bitcoin.

First i respect your opinion. but you're wrong.

Litecoin is not a fork of bitcoin. Litecoin is separate coin was created in 2011. it started new blockchain with many changes from Bitcoin as like faster blocks (transactions) and different hashing type. if you talk about forks there are BCH and BSV. not Litecoin.

Litecoin was not around $100 in 2017, it was around $350 you can see price on any exchange, $100 could be visited this year after Litecoin optional privacy update and PayPal support.

I don't care if Tom Lee sold all of his litecoins, it's not centralized coin to be effected by one person. Litecoin is standing in Top 10 MarketCap for 10 years since starting.

Thank for your sourse, LTC seem moving on this time. But I still have the reason not to trust LTC because its founder - Charlie Lee has sold out all of his coins, so I think the pressure to sell LTC is huge nowadays, it's hard to reach those higher price.

Litecoin is not centralized coin to be effected by one person. Charlie Lee is founder, not owner. if he or other sell his coins, it's not problem with Litecoin itself, and maybe Charlie Lee will buy Litecoin again when he find the coin becomes successful in the coming days.

We all know Pizza story. one person sold all his 10k BTC for one Pizza, is that means Bitcoin worth that little?

Your chart seems to be of interest. For me, the fact that LTC adds privacy features to their blockchain is a plus for me. I almost trade USDT pair, and LTC/USDT pumped around 15% over the past few days. I'll consider to enter my position.

And the pump still continues up to this point, more than 20% in the last week? that's huge already assuming that LTC is so quite that I think everyone is missing this coin already, except for gamblers who have been using this as deposits to gambling platform. But wit the updates, more investors join the bandwagon and taking huge profits. Volume wise it's in a bull run already and it's crazy.

Long back during its time of halving it was predicted to grow big in Value. There is no big change experienced, later there is gradual move following the growth of bitcoin. Over the past week the growth is big and the same is predicted to continue. Litecoin is much preferred for the low transaction fee, once litecoin was much preferred as investment on the order of bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin. Now once again litecoin is gaining its importance.

Something good and it can be expected to give a pump effect even if it is a little, but I hope the update is successful. It doesn't matter how big the pump is because this update is very interesting to me. Of course, if it works, there will be an increase in the use of LTC to make transactions.

If the planned update was carried out at a market moment like this I think there is a high chance of success. but it all depends on how the purpose of the update is carried out. when the goal is increased market adoption, the measure will be increased demand before and after reforms are implemented.

I don't really anticipate a big pump will happen for Litecoin at this point. This has been speculated so many times and that didn't happen. If bitcoin moves then the alts moves including Litecoin. I am going to expect that many will buy LTC once the update is near and that is ok. You are actually helping the coin and I don't think that LTC is a bad investment. This is a good investment and you just need to be careful in making decisions that would affect your investment with LTC. Good times ahead hopefully for us investors.

Me neither. The majority of people right now are focused on "De-Fi" and big cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Litecoin is an old cryptocurrency with very little development since it came into inception some time ago. The update might make a small pump, but prices will remain more or less the same in the long term. The only way Litecoin will be able to reach new ATHs in price is if Bitcoin goes all the way to the moon. Altcoins usually follow Bitcoin's uptrend in price within the market. But LTC going up in price on its own it's only a dream than anything else.

In the end, Litecoin will see declined demand because of its low development activity and innovation. If the LTC dev team ramp up their development efforts, it would be another story. But as long as LTC remain as is, it won't be going anywhere. With so many competitors on the market with better features and greater performance than LTC, Bitcoin's sibling's (Litecoin) place on the market may not last for long. I hope I'm wrong and Litecoin gets increased demand over time just like it's the case with Bitcoin right now. Just my thoughts Grin

Litecoin team are working on new update called "Block Extension" to make coin has Privacy option.

LTC new update will meet huge pump in the next few days.
who else expect that?

Yes. We hope that after the Litecoin update there will be an increase in price. Litecoin is also one of the slowly moving coins. The highest price for Litecoin in 2020 was $ 80. Litecoin supply is lower than Ethereum so it has a great opportunity to increase the price. It really depends on the Litecoin developers to make their platform popular.

If it is really true and it it will really going to happen then it will most likely regain the reputation of litecoin in the market and will regain once again its high rank knowing that for the previous year this altcoins is really sliding down in the market ranking which it very unusual for this coin because I think in some point it manage to take on the list of the top 10 ranked cryptocurrencies. Looking forward to see this be huge and ground breaking update for LTC.

I think as we get closer to updating Litecoin with the integration of MimbleWimble's privacy technology, this will be of great interest to traders.  The added privacy features as a result of the update will help attract new users who are currently using Monero and Zcash.

I think the increase in the litecoin price happened because of the effect of the increasingly increasing price movement of bitcoin because when I saw the roadmap for the development of Litecoin there was no good update for the future so I am very sure that this is the effect of the rising price of bitcoin.

No matter what the update is, i doubt if LTC will ever pass the 100usd price mark. Litecoin usage is gradually declined and investors are shifting attention to other payment tokens like ripple.  Ampleforth is even doing better. Litecoin has never make any meaningful progress for the past 2 years.

I agree with you, I've been holding litecoin for about a year now and I can't remember the last time we had a substantial increase in the value of litecoin. In most cases, there's a little ups and downs which doesn't necessarily bring any difference as as such its not worth the sales.

IMO, LTC will win the race in 2021 because it's one of oldest legal coins and it has low fees as well.
Today i received Bitcoin payment from bitcoin site, it was about $110 and i paid fees $8. i feel like the blockchain tx fees is sharing my profits. it was too much actually.

Litecoin price movements from a year ago do look good because they seem to have risen so sharply and that many people who are still holding litecoin can get huge profits, wait until there is better news and it will make the price more expensive than today's price.
