This sounded fishy mate, maybe we have to verify first before deciding to make engagement to their  project. Though some websites have problems like the beta versions, but not to extent that there's a blocking of access. If they wanted to become trusted, everything should be fixed and become more transparent to people which could be potential patronizers.

I just checked the website and the image that you have provided also shows up so, it means this project already turns out to be a sh*t. And even their Twitter account now does not exist anymore. And OP, always do your research about certain projects and don't always rely on what your friend suggested especially this project that he sent to you. Plus, it's better to avoid some projects that look like this because it has a huge possibility that it will turn to be a scam project.
