If you don't have access to the private key or mnemonic phrase then you are out of luck. Just like the famous quote goes "Not your private keys, not your money" so basically, once you lose your private keys/mnemonic phrase, you have lost your money.

Your question is not clear so please provide more details so we can help you.
Do you have the password to connect to your MetaMask account or the seed to recover your wallet?
If yes, when you cannect MetaMask to the Uniswap DApp, do you get a pop-up window saying "400 UNI" with a "claim" button?
If you do, then simply click "claim, sign the transaction with MetaMask and that's all. The tokens will be sent to the address you used to connect to the dapp.

How did you create the "account" /address? Did you not have access to the private key from the start?

If your wallets are still connected to metamask, you can just export your private key from metamask. That very easy..

That would also be my choice here if you are still connected and have your password:
Just select your address (0x...), go to settings => Account details => Export Private Key

If you have save the seed phrase somewhere else in the computer and deleted it then you can able to recover the seed phrase by recovering the deleted files in the computer. Use the data file recovery that is available and could be download but you need to buy for the application to get started. I have my shared post regarding to data file recovery and it is an old version but still new version had the same functions but different in interface more user friendly actually. How did you create the "account" /address? Did you not have access to the private key from the start?

How do you know you don't have the private key?

He has two Metamask wallet.

Wallet 1 - Lost access
Wallet 2 - Used it to check if wallet 1 is qualified

Uniswap allows wallet 2 to view if other addresses have 400 UNI to claim. 



If what he said is true that wallet 1 has 400 UNI, he cannot claim it using wallet 2.

The question and the situation of OP are not described clear enough to get help. I only can provide with very general stuffs:

- To claim, you must have private key of your wallet (Metamask).
- With each wallet, you can create multiple addresses but all those addresses are belong to a specific wallet.
- With the airdrop of 400 UNI, you can only claim 400 UNI for each wallet, not each address.

It means if you created 2 or more addresses in the same wallet, you will be able to claim only 400 UNI, even you can still see other 400 UNI in rest addresses in the same wallet.

Im not sure about this, cause as far as I know the wallets contain uni should have been connected with the uniswap page or at least dapp like trustwallet if you want to know that you are eligible for uni.

If the OPs problem is the private key, but still his wallet logged in on his metamask or imported then, he can still claimed it provided he has eth to provide for the fee.

Also is there a chance to still claim uni? I thought the claiming period ended.

You can't claim what was gotten with one wallet by another even if your happen to be the owner of both. To the system, they are a distinct pair. What you can do is to transfer the said UNI token to the other but, you need eth to do that which you didn't point out if you have and supposing you do, the issue of private key or seed phrase still stands.
You've got to try generating it before having to make transfer.
But then, you can't claim it as, you don't even have complete access to the wallet. Your private key or seed phrase is needed.

You cannot claim it if you cannot import your private key and access the metamask from the private where you can claim UNI token there is an option to view a wallet if it has UNI to claim but you need to import your private key, if you do not have your private key from the address that can claim it, it's a big loss for you.

Not even an expert in meta mask can help you if you do not have access to your private key, this is Cryptocurrency not your Private key not your coins, better look or try to remember where you put that private key, instead of asking metamask experts only you can help yourself, that's almost $2000 at the current Uni TOKEN price.

I feel sorry for you man, you should know that private key is everything you lose it and you lose all the coins that are associated with your wallet
it's hard to admit that by losing the private key you also lose coins that could be worth $5000 in the future, try to remember where you place it, don't lose hope.

If you have already added the eth address to the metamask with the private key loaded then all you need is input the metamask password and you should be able to transfer the funds .

Before claiming UNI, you have to login to your Metamask in your browser. If your Metamask is connected, then you can login by password but if you don't have access in your Metamask, you need to have private key or Memoric pharase. If you lost PK or Memoric pharase, we are sorry, you will lost everything in that wallet. If all are ok, then you have to connect metamask with Uniswap and claim your UNI. So you need to have ETH in your wallet for gas fees.

If you are still having your keystore and then you can also try to use MEW cx to claim your UNI. As far as i know, if it's not the only metamask that makes the users able to claim their UNI coin. I have been trying to trigger the claiming process through MEW CX and it looks like it has the same mechanism with the metamask but you will able to sign in your wallet use more ways.

Do you have any access to those addresses like through MEW or any other wallets? If yes, then you are in luck and you can easily claim your 400 UNI by using the uniswap website but if you don't then, you need the private keys without that you won't be able to access your claimed tokens.
