I don't think that we are going to have another Oil war anytime soon. The last one I know was golf war between 2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991.

If we are expecting more physical war from oil, it might not come. The trade war between US and China is what can send the word backwards. It is just slowed down because of covid-19 and the US election as trump is focusing on his reelection

We already had the war for oil in Iraq. Why should it happen again? Like the oil price is so low, there is not much demand due to the corona pandemic and the countries are not reducing their drilling. Why would people start a war over it? Maybe if the price would hit $200 but not with these levels.  Also the USA changed a lot from 20 years ago. Fraccing makes a huge difference for the energy consumption of USA these days.

I would not bet of any war happening in 2021 over Oil.

OP, you said in March that oil prices would rise. This was all but inevitable. Prices in March were extremely low due to the global CV19 lockdown causing a massive reduction in demand. I think it was quite apparent that the lockdown would not last forever, and that prices would rise once economies opened up again. I'm not convinced that this is evidence of exceptional foresight.

golf war between 2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991.
I know it's a typo, but it does make me think about the controversy over Trump's golf scores Cheesy

Indeed.
It is not about Iraq anymore. China was the one who made something or whatever it came from that crippled the economy of most countries in the world.
US government is mad about it and they think it was done in purpose.
OP would you still think about oil prices and taking over Iraq again when you had worst problems to solve in front of you?

Yeah, there is the voting issue too. Racism and a lot more that US needs to tackle to be on top again. They are divided, which is a big issue.

There is already a silent war it started even before the pandemic and it just projected even more. But if you are talking about confrontational war, I don't think it's going to happen though. Although the effect of this silent war will be slow and the impact could be felt in years to come.

But knowing the players behind, there could be compromises under the table that will benefit most of them. So the rich become more wealthy and the 3rd world countries will be the collateral damage again.

The war is ln armenia Right Now over crude oil

It's a stretch to say Armenia is in the Middle-East. The Armenia/Azerbaijan conflict is over Nagorno-Karabakh, it's a territorial/ethnic/religious conflict that has been going on for decades. It's not a war over oil. There is perhaps some danger that the conflict will endanger the oil pipeline that runs through the area, but that originates right over by the Caspian Sea. In short it's a conflict near (not in) the Middle-East, which may have some impact on (but is not about) oil or oil prices. This all originated with the collapse of the Soviet Union - N-K is predominantly Armenian (and Christian) by ethnicity, but under Russian rule was part of the Azerbaijani (and Muslim) administrative area.

Oil price and stocks attached to Oil suffer a lot nowadays.
There might be a place for another Oil war if things won't get better anytime soon.
