Need to buy "Domain name" and "Web Hosting" using BTC / bitcoin

Hi guys,
Hope I have posted this in the right place. I just did a search and couldn't find an existing thread covering this.

I want to be able to buy a Domain Name and Web Hosting just using BTC / bitcoin.

I tried to buy a domain on NameCheap using Tor on Tails, but it didn't seem to like me just before the payment page, and sent me back to the previous page. I'm afraid I can't recall what the error said.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of TOR, try with a VPN which has some static IP. You will need to contact the customer support and ask them to whitelist the IP. It happened to me long time ago and after contacting the customer service they failed to find a solution but then this idea came in my mind and it worked.

Problem with TOR is that it changes its IP without your knowledge and when namecheap server suspects frequent IP change then they block login. You need to unblock by asking their customer support.

So, just to break this down for my newbie-brain... I use a VPN on a regular browser like Firefox, and try with this.

Correct! At least this is how it worked for me after several hours of hard work of trying to figure out the issue :-D They block the account for security. I guess they think that anyone else is trying to access the account instead of the actual owner. It's actually good for the real owner.

NameCheap uses https://btcpayserver.org/ to make payments, which is an open source payment gateway, so I don't think it has problems using Tor.
There are a lot of hosting services that accept payment in btc, but NameCheap is the best of them. If you do not find it, it is easy to find an alternative with Google search.

You can buy a domain name with Bitcoin using porkbun.com. It's simple, but gets the job done. Comes with a free privacy service for the WHOIS.

Or there is another option, you can pay to one user in the forum to buy the domain for you... I could create a new Mail, an account with the hosting and domine provider, and just give you access to the service. If you are interested just send me a PM and i will let you know how much it will cost you.

I used to buy this service with bitcoin in the past, but my provider quits the bitcoin payments for legal reasons. And after that, i haven't seen any service like this accepting bitcoin.

I was with hostgator for long time but later left them. Problem with them is that they do not allow your domain to visit from a TOR connection. If you ask them to remove the restriction for your domain only still they do not do it. And this is something only they can enable. In their words it is a security risk for them. Now when you are dealing with anonymity in your website, users will use tor and if they can browse from TOR connection then you are losing visitors.

Friendly advice, before picking a good service for your web hosting and buying a domain name. Read always the Term-of-use or the Term of service. So that you will understand any possible consequences ahead upon purchasing a domain name.

Tend to agree above, it's Hostinger, is the most recommended for hosting and buying a domain name using your Bitcoin as a payment.

100% can vouch for Porkbun. I am using it for my domains for the past few months and I haven't had any issues with it. They have a TTL value of about 5 minutes so the DNS servers are going to resolve to the IP address you link the domain with very quickly.

They also have a decent email service that they let you try for three months free and then they bill you at $10 or something /address/month, forgot the exact pricing structure.

They have web hosting too bit I never bothered to use that, my sites exclusively run on VPS's or dedicated servers outside of domain registrars. It helps in times when you have domain trouble and you lose your domain, you won't lose your web server with it.

In namecheap you first need to top up your account balance using Bitcoin Payment Gateway they are using (that is https://btcpayserver.org/) their service is fast and you'll receive your BTC deposit in your namecheap account within 5 minutes. once it's done. then go to domain search page and add your desired domain in shopping card and then pay using account funds.
that way you can easily buy a domain with namecheap. there shouldn't be any problem in using TOR or VPN. I myself used VPN while using Namecheap. never experienced any problem.

You missed the topic. It is not the right place to offer domains for sale. Better try on digital goods section
Also, because you are new here, you will need to provide that you are the owner of these domains, it's possible if you write some text records on DNS settings there. Also, you need to say on which registrar is located.
In the end, I am not sure how you create the value of these domains, but it seems it’s a little unrealistic.
