I am working on a coin holder to hold a variety of the BCP coins -

after getting the master list from Mitchell - I have found there are a lot more than I thought lol I may have to reconsider this or it might be too large lol

I have the following list:

Holder 1 (Copper variants)

2015 Standard CJB --- 23 mm
2016 DAVE --- 23 mm
2017 IRIE --- 23 mm
2017 SN --- 23 mm
2018 DSC --- 23 mm
2018 JULIE --- 23 mm
2018 MANTIS --- 23 mm
2019 AMD  --- 23 mm
2019 SN --- 23 mm
2019 ZEPHYR --- 23 mm
2020 MGHB --- 23 mm
2020 SN --- 23 mm

Holder 2 (Silver & Gold (and invisible) variants)

2018 SILVER --- 25 mm
2018 PLATINUM --- 20 mm
2018 GOLD --- 20 mm
2018 INVISIBLE --- 25 mm
2019 SILVER Eagle --- 25 mm
2019 GOLD --- 20 mm

The ones in green I have, the ones in red I need - if someone has one of these they can stand to part with please post here or DM me.

can anyone provide the year for the gold one? and let me know if I am missing any? resolved and provided.

I will be updating the above with the coins I plan to use.

current exclusions: proof sets, errors, mini physicals, variations of the 2019 SILVER(antique, left facing - for now, unless I can get my hands on them)

more edits to come - This may require it to be multiple coin holders.

right now I have it set as 2 holders - we shall see how it ends up. If I can get them all to fit a certain size, it might be something that can also be framed.

initially I am thinking something similar to this but maybe with 12 slots? or maybe as 3 holders - same size holding 6 each so that they will display well together - then if someone has the 3 proof sets, they could get a 4th case to hold those.

I think something like this with a central block to list what the coins are - as you can see - plenty of room to put information. I have seen many other cases that are very similar if not exactly like this - the trick is getting them with slots that will fit the coins I want to use. and in the combination I need.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

now while I am planning on trying to make the cases above - I may have a bead on ones that are already premade to fit these coins - I am just waiting to hear back. So if that works, I may not be the one to make them but paying someone else who has blanks where they just insert the right size holders in each spot.

the ones that are already made will hold 6 coins and have an area where it could be printed the info on the coins. So I could do 3 cases for the 18 coins I listed - it will also accommodate the multiple sizes that range from 20 mm to 25 mm on the coins above.

Big fan of multi coin holders like this.  Any chance these could be manufactured where you could easily pop out the plastic holder that grips the coins for different sizes?  That would be pretty epic if you had the cases made with exchangeable coin holders and made a few sizes of the middle inserts.  Just my 2. Love these projects you've been working on of late!

yes that is what my target goal is - I am attempting to iron that out - I would essentially be making the cases and buying the holders that pop in. That being said it would be possible to make one larger size cut out - say 50 mm and then make inserts with various sizes cut out of them and then just provide the inserts with whatever size someone would want. but I like the holders shown in the image above and I am trying to see about buying those from the company.

update after talking with several members here - I should have a full set of the pennies listed above shortly. I want to thank Lesbian Cow, Agrawas, minerjones and bitcoinPenny for assisting me on rounding up the ones I did not have.

I am working on a coin holder to hold a variety of the BCP coins ...

This is such a wonderful idea, and I'm super excited to see the final product! Shocked

Quote
2018 INVISIBLE --- 23 mm

FYI, the invisible penny is 25mm, same as the silver penny.

By the way, I'm sending you a 2019 Short Roll (check off the 2019 AMD and 2019 SN), 2020 Short Roll (check off the 2020 SN too), and a mint condition 2018 DSC penny to complete your collection.

Thanks again for all your hard work on this project, Mopar! Wink

Regards,
Chris

good catch on the invisible - I would have remeasured once I had one in hand but I will update the list as well.

and thank you for the coins - they will be put to good use!

just to provide an update - with the fiasco around private key generation in the shop a few weeks ago and the removal of the partner who owned the lasers, I am in the process of getting new machines, I will be looking at possibly getting one that can do 12"x18" as well - so bear with me, I have not forgotten about this project, just got a bit delayed.
