Honestly, I felt so much devastated about this news. I belong to a poor country in Asia and I also heard before that some rich countries will be the first to purchase the vaccines that would be release on the market soonest. And some rich countries already took a reservation so they could get the vaccines in which pharmaceutical companies be first to release. Despite that, our leader still assured us that we could purchase a vaccine from Russia and China. But, still I doubt if everyone will be given because I know that its always the rich and powerful persons who will take it first within this over populated Country. This is a big problem indeed, not just here but in many countries around the world that has lots of populations but only have a few budget.

I think many people felt terrible after hearing this news, especially those people who temporarily lost their jobs since the start of quarantine lockdowns because going back to their normal lives will definitely take longer. Developing countries would also continue to suffer because their government gave their funds or financial assistance might not be enough to cover all of them.

Vaccines are not that instant to make and it really needs a lot of time, budget, and effort to test its effectiveness in the long run.

Its effectivity in the long run is what we need to find out, if the vaccine will not bring any side effect after 5 to 10 years. I think that we will still suffer from this quarantine due to unemployment because hiring of jobs is still hard to do especially that businesses are really affected by economic crisis. People are very excited for the world to go back to normal because of the struggle that we are experiencing this pandemic.

I think no. Pharmaceutical industry are on the race on developing a vaccine asap. This means, anyone who can develop the vaccine first will be the first one to harvest the profit.
However, this could also be a marketing strategy to deceive people that early developed vaccines are less likely to be effective compared to a thoroughly developed vaccines. AFAIK, creating vaccines usually takes 2 years in minimum. But, if this is true, then we'll get to use in the new normal.

This news might actually cause panic in our world, especially to those who believes in the vaccine.

Most people have little knowledge of virology, medicine, or even biology for that matter--so of course they're scared stiff when they hear news like this, that a COVID-19 vaccine might take years to get everyone inoculated. 

IMO there's no need to panic or even to be concerned.  Everybody who's been infected and has survived now has antibodies to the virus which help protect the rest of us.  And furthermore, COVID-19 is nowhere near deadly enough to justify some of the measures various parts of the world have taken, e.g., lockdowns, business closures.  The fact remains that most people who come down with it only show mild symptoms.  The way I see it, things could have been a hell of a lot worse--like if we got an outbreak of a new virus that was like smallpox or polio or ebola or something like that.  If that were the case, I'd understand if people were freaked out of their minds and never left their houses.

Anyway, we'll see what actually happens with the vaccine.  So far this is just a prediction.

You made a good point actually. The thing is even if they finally finish developing the vaccine and even if the vaccine works perfectly after the required tested. The main problem would be to produce the vaccine in large number of doses for everyone in the world and this will be a huge problem. In the other hand, this limited and little supply and increasing the demand will make the price of the vaccine really high and this situation will make everything different to he people.

In my own perspective, I understand the long process of making vaccines. Any medicines or vaccines isn't easy to develop, it becomes more harder to even find cure or vaccines for new viruses or diseases that emerged to our society. And due to the increasing population of human globally, it will be pretty hard to provide the amount of vaccines for everyone. It's costly and as of the moment not guaranteed that really effective. Vaccines are commonly expensive at the start, it will become cheaper whenever more of these are created within a particular timeframe.

I think not everyone needs COVID 19 vaccination. Some countries do not like to be vaccinated because their people are not infected. Some countries are not prioritized with vaccines.
We have dozens of diseases that need to be vaccinated, and we're vaccinated for this epidemic and is one of them. Countries with more sick people should be given priority.

Right now, many scientists from many countries are trying to develop the vaccine for Corona Virus. If one country can found the vaccine first, it will distribute the vaccine to their citizen first, and then they will distribute to other countries which have a serious problem of Covid-19. not to be harsh but it would be better if we leave this job to those that are real expert on this field because life is at risk on here .  its okay if the vaccines that they produce is not enough but atleast they produce something and that can still lessen the case  .

 while other positive cases can still isolate themselves so that the spread will stop while waiting for another production of vaccine . china country can still help in the form of making ppe's and other useful products that aids covids and non covid patients .

I don't know why so many people are taking this news seriously. According to industry experts, a large part of the global population will be vaccinated by mid-2021, and by the end of that year vaccines will be made available to everyone. The OP is quoting one of the vaccine developers from India, who issued a statement just for political purpose. It has nothing to do with the situation on ground.

It all depends on the healthcare infrastructure. That was the reasoning behind the lockdowns. Lockdowns can hopefully be avoided with effective mask usage and social distancing, and we're lucky that seems to be working in the US. But if all those rules are already in place and the healthcare system still becomes overloaded (as was beginning to happen in April in the US), we're between a rock and a hard place. At that point, regular urgent patients (heart attacks, strokes, cancer, etc.) get turned away since there are no beds, the death toll becomes exponentially worse, and so on. Then the question is no longer whether to implement a lockdown, but how long we can afford to wait before doing so.

It is duly expected that the creation of the vaccine will take a lot more time because the virus is just new in nature. But I think that it won't take too long up until year 2024 to be the earliest as possible before the vaccine will become available at the market worldwide for the fact that lots of pharmaceutical companies and genius scientists are hand to hand rushing things to make a vaccine that will end this pandemic for good. We still don't know yet when will be the definite time where vaccine will be release but even if it takes so much time, i still believe that the governments are doing their best to prevent the fast spread of corona virus infections. Although its curable, but let's still be more cautious and vigilant because we don't know when will it hit us.
