Do you think that the adoption is really happening? I've seen this picture, a convenience store literally selling bitcoin through an ATM, I know it isn't new at all but this proves the actuality of innovation, something that we are dreaming of since we knew bitcoin. Hail the King! I still haven't tried it yet, I'm still wondering how complex it is.

I'm still wondering how complex it is.
Looks fairly standard from the instructions on their website: https://rockitcoin.com/faq/how-to-buy-bitcoin-at-a-rockitcoin-atm

Interestingly, from the website, it seems you only need to provide a phone number and no other ID. However, the picture you have shared includes the words "Photo of your ID giving you trouble?" I can't find any information on the website regarding KYC or buying limits. Has anyone used one of these Rockitcoin ATMs? Can you buy anonymously?

If you try to buy online through their website, you get quoted a price which is almost 15% higher than the going rate, so I assume their ATMs charge a similar premium.

It seems to me that such ATMs charge an unreasonably high percentage of sales, and that it will be much cheaper to buy bitcoin on the exchanger site!

I have not visited the website of this company, but perhaps you will still be photographed when buying...

Bitcoin ATM's have been pretty "meh" in my opinion. The rate of adoption I'd personally like to see is the masses finally realizing the importance of a self-custodial and permission-less asset such as bitcoin. Idunno why but I have been fantasizing of a day where the masses are rushing into bitcoin(despite how unrealistic it is); not necessarily because of FOMO, but because of them actually knowing how important it is.

But with that said, new bitcoin ATMs? I'll take it! Slow and steady adoption is fine too.

Wow, this is great news, it is a good innovation for the world of crypto, it seems like cryptocurrency is now being stronger than before because of such innovation like this, I am wondering what more we can have in the future about cryptocurrency. This news is what we are looking for.

I searched on how can we use a cryptocurrency ATM, here it is:
Quote
To start, you have to decide whether you’re going to enter with a wallet (app) that allows you to scan a QR code while adding or subtracting funds from it or be prepared to make a paper wallet, which will be provided to you at most bitcoin ATMs.
Upon activating a bitcoin ATM, you will be asked if you have a wallet, or if you wish to create one. From that point on, it will take you to the next screen where you can either withdraw bitcoin, purchase bitcoin, or create that new paper wallet.

Or better you watch this video: https://youtu.be/19tVcU4rZrU

The good thing here is that we can use our cash whenever we want to buy bitcoin, we just have to make sure that our money is ready for payment but as usual transaction fees won't get away from us.

You may visit this link for more details about crypto ATM.

The screen does show a QR code to create a new wallet so may be the when wallet is created the phone number we provided is getting linked to it and whenever we buy/sell our bitcoins we only need to enter the phone number to get the transaction done through our wallet.

We had just one Kiosk installed in our country but officials took it down since the owner didn't have the permission to call it as an ATM.

No wonder the fees are high for doing a transaction via crypto ATM/Kiosk. I just consider it as an awareness method while it is better to buy/sell crypto online.

this surplus (its more than 15% for small amounts --- around 17%!) it is really high and it could just left people unsatisfied for buying bitcoin with an ATM.  Plus if an used go to sell must pay a tx fee and exchange fee. Isn't sound as a bargain offer.
See below some examples:
0.00771566 = 100 USD (their website)
0.00771566 = 82,83 USD (preev)

0.08144309 = 1000 USD (their website)
0.08144309 = 874 USD (preev)

In other countries it's easier buy bitcoin, likewise:
like https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/at-the-station/services-from-the-ticket-machine/bitcoin.html Switzerland that allow to buy bitcoin directly in a train station!

lol! it seem an angry customer has rip off the No entry without mask top sign Grin
it always bring joy to heart when you see this type of boldness from some offline stores, it shows the awareness is growing and people can just walk in the store to buy btc at their own convenient, i have never come across any btc atm before, am really hoping i will see one in near future.

it is cool to see it happening in more places but "adoption" is not happening when they "sell" bitcoin or provide ATMs. the adoption happens when those stores (like this convenience store) started accepting bitcoin as payment when you buy stuff from them. that would be something to be happy about if you ask me.

There is a FOMO brewing...

Using a bitcoin ATM is pretty simple but you need to wait a while for confirmations. It’s great if you can find a non-KYC one so you can sell & avoid taxes but i prefer to sell on exchanges.

Mainstream adoption is coming but it will take a while.

Well, it is coming. We can only expect a lot more of these machines to come. Just think about it, in hard times people will keep on searching on better ways to earn. And let's face it, even when most wants Bitcoin to he a currency, most of the people out there, wants it to be a storage of value or something to gain profits. But seriously though, seeing increasing numbers of machine nes like that just means more and more people are being enthusiastic about bitcoins nowadays.

Wow Shocked Bitcoin is really great and slowly moving. Hope one day I can also use and make transaction in bitcoin ATM machine but I have doubt that it has a very high transaction fee. This the start of awareness in bitcoin and the we can see adoption will increase everyday.

Adoption will definitely occur but it will not be around the world but only a few, if it is in your area then it is worth trying and testing how and how complicated it is to use it then I am happy if it is in my area, yes this will be difficult in this country. me.

There is an added value if a bitcoin ATM is already in the store, it will attract a lot of attention with proper use and transactions without making an identity that is published through KYC.

Using a bitcoin ATM is pretty simple but you need to wait a while for confirmations. It’s great if you can find a non-KYC one so you can sell & avoid taxes but i prefer to sell on exchanges.
KYC and non-KYC atm is what I want to know more about, why there are atms that isn't conducting any KYC and why there are atms that has KYC procedure. Have not used a single btc atm yet, I think it is more difficult than a normal one. What about the traffic from blockchain? how about the receipt of transaction. I really want to try it so badly.

Mainstream adoption is coming but it will take a while.
It's already happening, maybe 2 to 3 years from now this will not be new to us, we'll see a line of people buying and selling bitcoins to atms.

Wow Shocked Bitcoin is really great and slowly moving. Hope one day I can also use and make transaction in bitcoin ATM machine but I have doubt that it has a very high transaction fee. This the start of awareness in bitcoin and the we can see adoption will increase everyday.
'Slow and steady win a race' gradually Bitcoin acceptability is gaining ground with all these latest innovations I am not surprise this news article https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-atms-10100-outlook/
says it all as at Sept 2020 more than 100100 is quite encouraging number, in the next few years to come adoption of Bitcoin into more businesses, stores e.t.c will have increased in multiples.

Price is definitely higher than buying on a regular exchange. But if it does not require KYC, I think its fair. Almost 20% for not sending KYC documents, it's worth doing. If I have the chance I will try to buy at least $100 BTC on a paper wallet for a gift to someone. The right time for Christians to actually give bitcoin to a dear one.

It would help adoption if every country by now should be promoting cashless transaction and also allow BTC.

Slow and steady adoption is fine too.

Of course, that's what I think when I see news like this. They are not a boom for bitcoin but they are another step on the road to mass adoption. There is quite a lot of news like this that you see from time to time on the forum but I dream of seeing the day when this is not even news.

By the way, I haven't seen one such machine near where I live, I also dream of seeing one.

For a $100 and below transaction I believe the fee is bearable but for greater amount transaction, I don't think so that newbie will be willing to buy crypto if they saw that the ATM machine BTC rate is 20% greater than the normal rate because I'm sure that they will google first Bitcoin before they buy it. The problem on this kind BTC ATM was they are charging too much fee to user that's why it result on over price rate.

This will never help mass adoption if this not a newbie friendly. We already saw this kind of news during 2015 to 2017 when BTC starts to hype but it didn't go well on some country because ATM machine rate is way higher than actual right.

Despite being slow, the Bitcoin adoption is happening, yes. The number of Bitcoin ATMs is increasing and it will continue like this. But I think the most important thing for an adoption is accepting Bitcoin by regulating it. When most of the countries regulate Bitcoin (I hope not in a too strict way), the adoption will be completed and Bitcoin will be stronger than ever.

Great news! Can I ask? Where this place located at? It looks familiar to me.

Just like everything has been rowth and change has a process and process takes time. So we just had to be patient towards a great innovation of Bitcoin has. There's a lot of businesses now who are promoting using cryptocurrency. So, adaptation will soon explode especially in the situation that we have right now. There's also news where the Australian Prime Minister is now investing a lot of their country's funds to cryptocurrencies to avoid inflation(on the other thread). So there you go, adaptation is already there.

Look at the Coin ATM radar, Bitcoin ATM business has been grown weekly. Last week it was announced they had reach a total of 10K ATM machines but now it's 10,646 right at this moment.

I am always happy with the news that many Bitcoin ATMs are in public places such as convenience stores, this includes how to effectively
promote Bitcoin in society. Although I believe we are all as a crypto community, rarely buy Bitcoin at an ATM machine. Because transaction
fees are quite large. I'm actually quite jealous to see some of the members here who have experienced buying Bitcoin with an ATM machine.
There must be a certain satisfaction and pride in being able to use a Bitcoin ATM machine. Unfortunately in my country there is not a single
Bitcoin ATM machine. I really hope that one day I will see a Bitcoin ATM machine in my country.

It is a great news then. More likely this will be a good start to boost up adaption of Bitcoin usage having such ATMs to purchase Bitcoin. But it will be the best thing if convenient stores and other merchants will be able to accept Bitcoin as direct payment method without the need of converting it into the local currency where it is located. Massive adaption must follow after the existence of such kind of ATMs because if people are still not being able to use Bitcoin to direct purchase goods and services, it makes no sense having it when people cannot use it for there is still a need to convert it. Adaption must be direct into the point that Bitcoin is the currency being used not just purchased then converted to local currency to be used for payments.

Something will be going to happen. Adoption has to come closer to every country and many establishments and open up for this. Online businesses keep growing, they need such an alternative for cashless transactions which is very applicable this time. I am also thinking if this Bitcoin ATM machine have already the license to operate, I'm afraid if that runs illegally and soon be confiscated by the authorities (anyway, this is just saying, I know owners had already known this).

Obviously, yes. Adoption is by far having good progress.

There are several Bitcoin ATM already installed at any part of the globe and if you see some of it on a place wherein crypto isn't that popular, that was a great step towards adoption. Installing any bitcoin-related stuff on that part will surely spread awareness to those people that will pass by.

As for how to use it, there should be instructions on that machine. Just take note of the fees.

It do really boost up the feels specially if you are a bitcoin supporter and you have seen this atm residing near you or into the city where you do live in. Adoption is on the move and its great to see that these machines are growing gradually.

There's an article said that we do already had 10,000 bitcoin atm's worldwide.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-atms-surge-by-87-in-past-year-to-surpass-10-000-globally

Seeing on the increase on year to year basis then its really increasing that fast.

Bitcoin ATM usually place or operated by banks which are liscensed and allowed by the government. It is indeed adoption will soon to happen as demand of cashless transactions as well some problems in bank mobile banking occurs often ly, or maybe just in my country that it's hard to rely on it for every transactions, and having an alternatives in payment or doing transactions can help crypto a lot, we will just need to explain it to people we're going to Transact with if they're new into it.

Wow, this is interesting, but I guess it's like the Pinkoin thing, this ATM will aid quick exchange and will make Bitcoin easier to deal with. I have never come across this machine in my country.and I understand we have 10,000 ATM round the world.even if we are not going to cash out with it we should be able to buy goods especially with those almost useless token hidden in my wallet with very low value.

Yeah! this is the kind of scenario we are hoping in the last 10 years. where every store out there accepts and has some services that have something to do with bitcoin. This is what you called signs of progress where you will not expect to be completed in one year, rather it would be complete after everything about bitcoin has been clarified to the people. especially the bad images created by most of the media. right now, people starting to know the truth behind it and starting to grab this opportunity so that they can earn some living by offering services related to bitcoin.

The adoption is where things are going with cryptocurrency. It may be slow or but with ATMs its like advertisement and allowing a newbie to come into cryptocurrency, But most importantly for those who don't like KYC, this is way to go than using the credit cards or paypal.

Unfortunately though newbies oftem times doesn't care about KYC so they'd be going to exchanges which still doesn't make difference, its still part of the adoption.

Wow, that was so exciting! The adoption of bitcoin to certain countries anywhere in the globe is getting more wider and really beyond our expectations. I believe that cryptocurrency will soon become our mainstream currency just like fiat, and its more safe to us now that we are still dealing with covid-19 and we don't really know the end of this crisis. Bitcoin ATM machines is a great idea to capture the interest of people and be part of the blockchain industry and be more productive just like anyone here in crypto world.

Bitcoin has been happening long ago and the number one thing that hinders its adoption is the government stance towards but the pandemic showcase Bitcoin potentials to the rest of the world where there doubt about Bitcoin potential. However, the issue of convenience stores offering the service to buy and sell Bitcoin through ATM is generally common in the US but the charges for transactions are high than online.

CTTO

sorry to ask but Don't you have installed Bitcoin ATM installed in your location?those are being spread now worldwide so this is not new,I thought that the convenience store is accepting Bitcoin as payments for your purchases .
anyway Good to see that there are at least place where you can Buy bitcoin in your place.
Near my office there are atm's and bank who has the same offers.

We are already on that stage. Ive seen so many stores accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as a payment and also stores where we can cash in fiat money to our ewallets and then convert it into bitcoin.
Never saw some store where you can directly buy bitcoin. Interesting. I wonder how much fees will they gonna charge aside from that of transaction fee itself?

Bitcoin ATMs aren't something new (at least for me). Its like I see them almost everywhere (there are a lot of Bitcoin ATMs around me. Went to a different area once, would see them less often), but don't see much people using them. But yeah, good thing they are installing more. In case you didn't know, you should try using coinatmradar.com. You can see a list of bitcoinATMs around you! Quite helpful it is. Some ATMs even allow you to make transaction before going to the ATM so that you don't have to wait for confirmation in front of the ATM.
it is cool to see it happening in more places but "adoption" is not happening when they "sell" bitcoin or provide ATMs. the adoption happens when those stores (like this convenience store) started accepting bitcoin as payment when you buy stuff from them. that would be something to be happy about if you ask me.
True, but at least people are noticing and gets to buy bitcoin easily (but that comes with a premium price).

it is a start i would say, more like creating awareness through this means, there are many btc atm around the world and an addition is always welcome, the awareness this will generate is most important because if this convenience store has a good number of customers and probably 90% of them are unaware of btc before but with this atm that number will definitely reduce and who knows some might be too curious to want to dig even further.

This is not the first store to showcase this but it is showing that the awareness is coming stronger. Many stores are beginning to show interest in the use of bitcoin. It is a good thing because we can use our coins and cash in exchange for the other. We are going higher and higher in this move.

This bitcoin adoption is one of many. Have you heard about the bitcoin ATMs spreading in Africa?

Many bitcoin users are hoping for this adoption to reach their place, including me.

But this time, a bitcoin machine where you can but BTC? That's really a good idea and this will help to increase the number of investors of bitcoin in that place. Hoping that there will be someone who will post a video where they will tell us how to buy bitcoin using that machine or how to withdraw bitcoin using Bitcoin ATMs. That will probably give us an idea on how bitcoin is easily to access nowadays.

btc wont get anywhere if adoption didnt happen but by the help of this atm , we can go more.  thanks to those concerned individuals for making this possible .

i dont know if what country is this but this look like on u.s country based on the posters on the door of the store .

this is not new if its in the u.s but id be more happy if this also happen on local countries like on asia where adoption is still less . operating on this atm wont be complex if you already know how to use btc

It is great that we are having this kind of people who would try to spread the crypto into other people this might help us to have more people to accept Bitcoin and crypto.
This could make other people curious about Bitcoin and finally accepts it and the best part could be there would be more store owners that would follow their step and we could finally use crypto as a payment method on our local stores.

I think you should try it, so you can tell us how it feels. That will be great news for people around your city because they will see the BTC logo and the word "Bitcoin" in that local store. I hope that it can attract many people to have a curiosity to know more about bitcoin, and maybe you can talk with the owner of that local store. You can share info or discuss other things related to bitcoin and another crypto, so the owner can try to integrate with the other coin. I don't know about the adoption process in your city, but I hope that after this, bitcoin can grow in your country, and hopefully, more people will have an interest and will use bitcoin.

Do you think that the adoption is really happening?

I think it's been going on for a while now, especially in the USA&Canada where most crypto ATMs are located, and if I'm not mistaken this ATM is located somewhere in the US or maybe in Canada. You’re probably excited to be able to buy BTC in your city, but as I see the fee is really high and you should know that this is certainly one of the most expensive ways to buy or sell crypto.

However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't try the service - I'd love to try it too, but there's no such device near me.

This may be just the beginning, want this to see in major parts of the globe and also for this it is important that government does support or atleast have some certain rules so that it is easier for the merchants when rules are clear so it becomes easier to start accepting it. Some countries are still unclear about bitcoin and thus not much adoption could be seen.
and we can contribute by taking a picture also if we have seen something like this in our places and posting here in forum.
this will encourage more investors to put more money because of the advertising and popularization that happening worldwide.

Maybe this is not the first time Bitcoin ATMs are available in stores, even Bitcoin ATMs are available in some other countries too, but not all countries provide Bitcoin ATMs because some countries do not allow Bitcoin to enter and use Bitcoin. If you want to try it and don't know how to use it, you can see it on YouTube, surely someone has made a video how to use a Bitcoin ATM.
yups but this is the first time in OP's place that's why he is amazed seeing one installed ,and even us if we finda  new location for ATM surely we will be proud.

It's happening and it's real but that's just a small portion of the adoption that we're getting. There were posts that I've seen stores accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So this isn't that different from those and it's just satisfying to see stores accept.
When you're also one of those people who holds it and happily looking at the sign.

Everything needs a process, bitcoin still new rather than another asset or currency, and also there is no entity who manages it which will hamper the mass adoption. Yeah, currently there still many people who will say that bitcoin doesn't have a real function which sooner or later the price will go to zero. But who knows in the future, where many people will be aware of the decentralized system.

It just a beginning, I hope there will be many people who will introduce bitcoin byways that very easy to understand and can be accepted by all people. So as they will truly understand how bitcoin works, not just bitcoin as an investment only. They should know bitcoin can help them in many aspects, if the situation comes we will see there will be many place to purchase bitcoin.

I think you should try it, so you can tell us how it feels.
Would really love too especially now that it hasn't gone mainstream yet.

That will be great news for people around your city because they will see the BTC logo and the word "Bitcoin" in that local store. I hope that it can attract many people to have a curiosity to know more about bitcoin, and maybe you can talk with the owner of that local store.
Well it will literally make people attract to it, new things comes with curiosity for anyone so they will definitely give it a google search and will find tons of information about it, and when they see they can make profit out of it their eyes will make this money eyes emoji lol.

You can share info or discuss other things related to bitcoin and another crypto, so the owner can try to integrate with the other coin. I don't know about the adoption process in your city, but I hope that after this, bitcoin can grow in your country, and hopefully, more people will have an interest and will use bitcoin.
I don't really know where it is, but I think it is somewhere in Europe. Hopefully people will come to try it, a single experience would make them believe that everything they see on the news is different.

I remember articles about teachers who will teaching and giving lectures about Bitcoin at universities and technical schools in many countries, but I have not found an article that talks about it in the present tense... But I think that everything is still ahead.

This is another step for bitcoin adoption, I wonder if what country it is as I can see that they are already in the process of fully accepting and using bitcoin. Having an easy access in buying bitcoin is what most of the bitcoin users wants and a little push then the bitcoin adoption in that country will surely to spread easily especially if there will be many users who will likely to embrace bitcoin.

This is good publicity for bitcoin, however, if the fee is high I doubt if it will be advisable to use ATMs than going thru exchanges if you have an option to choose between the two. This might be something new since there are many places around the globe which has a bitcoin machine, but exposure is exposure so it is still beneficial. This will make bitcoin more accessible to people.

I can't consider this as an adoption in my opinion but more of an awareness thingy. People will be aware that there is another currency like Bitcoin where you can use it into transactions.
The fee though is inconsiderable. 15% higher than the other ones is too high to bear especially for those who are just buying small chunks of it.

Well, Bitcoin ATM's are the start of creating awareness to the people that there is a Bitcoin that is existing and more people being aware to it will lead to them using it (hopefully) and that is where adoption starts.

This is good news, it will also make other people think about what is bitcoin or cryptocurrency because of the crypto ATM that they can see physically. Imagine a person who is walking around and then he sees this kind of ATM, then he might think what is cryptocurrency and for him to know about it he may use google and search about it, as we can see there is much information about cryptocurrency that we can see upon searching and once a person who doesn't things about it at all could be curious about it and try some other things that may help him to understand it more.

This innovation shows how successful bitcoin is and maybe it feels so great using it. I am excited to have it in our own country.

I prefer to hear news like this, about the wider adoption of bitcoin and actually applied in the real world. Bitcoin ATM machines have indeed been old news and have been widely reviewed. But when you find a Bitcoin ATM machine in the area where you live, it becomes extraordinary.

Buying non-KYC Bitcoin at a Bitcoin ATM machine is an easy way for everyone. I also want to try to buy in a bitcoin machine, but in the area where I live there are still you and I don't think there will ever be.

A Bitcoin ATM in a store adds value to the business and invites its customers to use its ATMs. The massive adoption would come through the smartphone and applications to pay with Bitcoin as well as debit cards recharged with Bitcoin. Each user would use the best means to satisfy their needs when buying and selling Bitcoin.

It is happening in your city, but it will need more time to see the adoption process will increase in your city. Perhaps, people will curious about that bitcoin ATM machine, and they will ask the local store owner what that is. But remember, we are still at the pandemic, and people tend to save their money to buy their daily needs than to try with the new things. Perhaps, if that is a new job, they will try it. But for trying to buy bitcoin, I am not sure, but it could attract some people who have a big curiosity about the new thing.

At least, you have one bitcoin ATM machine in your city, so you can withdraw or buy bitcoin from that machine. But I wonder how much the fee for using that machine. I hope that the fee is not too high.

What country it is?, There is some source?.
I hope my country already adopt this kind of changes because most of the time there is a lot of centralized wallet and exchange we have well for sure its centralized bitcoin atm at least, Still, Im hoping they will use this but right now most of the people on my country doesn't really recognize the use of the bitcoin atm. Also I'm curious how do they withdraw their funds? there is a specific card? code? or they type their bitcoin address manually?. However this is a good adaptation towards to the future of the cryptocurrency and bitcoin.

there are only few of us who will be happy if there is an ATM of bitcoin installed near us.

and also there are other option in my place in which we ca easily buy Bitcoin without many time to spend.

Hope we will spread the knowledge about Bitcoin and then next is the ATM machines .

First things first, from which country was this taken? Cause if it was in the US side, more ATM's over there isn't really that needed if we consider adoption due to that place having the majority of the available atms already. If it was in the Asia side, then that's good news indeed, though tbh, it is much more efficient, cheaper and possibly more secure to buy coins from an exchange. Some ATM's out there are used for money laundering purposes after all, and no matter how small, a chance is still a chance, unless the company behind the ATM is a legit one.

Still, it does spread news of it to those not in the know. People would be quite curious seeing an ATM being used not for normal fiat, but rather for crypto after all. They may not use it, but at the very least, they would learn of the term Bitcoin and possibly search it up, adding to the population to the people that at least are not ignorant of what crypto is.

Isn't it more than obvious that this is an English-speaking area - it's the USA or Canada, you just need to look at the image from the OP to understand that this is not Asia. Even though most of the existing crypto ATMs are in these countries, that doesn't mean that there are enough of them, because if their number is constantly increasing, it means that there is demand - and it should also be taken into account that the US is a large territory with almost 330 million inhabitants.

It is obvious that in some other countries there is no demand for this type of ATM, or the regulations are simply such that they prevent anyone who would like to engage in such activities.

It's a good idea when a lot of people don't really understand what Bitcoin is with so many ATM machines, people keep asking what Bitcoin is and it will make big adoption in the future.

~oops forgot to snip~

There's just potential adoption I see whenever I heard or read news about new crypto ATMs being established. It's just that my thoughts are circling if people would even think of stopping by an ATM and think of "wow I would now want to buy a Bitcoin".
I just think that a lot of people even heard Bitcoin through the internet and from that they also buy it from the internet as well.

however, I read bad reviews about this operator.
https://jasonpearce.com/2017/09/02/rockitcoin-atm-rates-will-cheat-you/
https://cryptos.com/rockitcoin-launches-new-atms-in-americas-heartland/

and it seems like complicated to use a bitcoin atm by reading the review.

Wrong. Adoption is not Bitcoin ATMs, adoption is "Bitcoin accepted here" signs. True adoption is never touching fiat. You get paid with bitcoin, you pay with bitcoin. No exchanging, no extra fees.

An ATM is but a transitional inconvenience, like an exchange but with higher fees. You should rather push for the merchant to directly receive bitcoin instead of putting an ATM. Second best is having a payment processor, such as those using the software btcpay, etc; so that it at least "looks" transparent to the business. You pay bitcoin, they get fiat. This also sucks, only a bit less.

The number of ATMs do not represent Bitcoin adoption, it is the number of business accepting bitcoin that do.

Yes, its really happening in any parts of the world now. We cant definitely prevent the widespread and bolder adoption of people to Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. In so many ways, Bitcoin is really a big help and offers great privilige to us that keeps believing and trusting it.

Where is this bitcoin ATM located?

Elon Musk opened the first store on Mars and set up a crypto ATM🚀

Your post is a classic example of shit posting, without reading anything at all except the first post. How many times has it been mentioned where it is, and you are asking the same question again...

This is a welcome development to all bitcoin users because many investors find it difficult in my country to transact with their ATM card but not available in my area. Thank God that is happening in some country where you can withdraw and pay with your bitcoin ATM card.
Indeed this is a welcome  development  to the countries that allow bitcoin ATM.
I think my country will be the next to join the moving train by allowing Bitcoin ATM machine everywhere in the country for those who have bitcoin ATM card to perform their transaction.
I can't wait to see bitcoin ATM machine in my country. My country will not play with such  development,I think they will be the next to allow it in our country.

As we go further, the number of Bitcoin machine is gradually increasing, and here is an interesting fact: According to a Norwegian financial company, the number of Bitcoin atm has surged 87% in the past year. Right now the United States has the leading number of Bitcoin ATM across the world, with more than 7,800 BTMs. Unfortunately, I haven't tried or seen any BTMS right now. Hoping I could use it soon.

BIG WINNER!

I hope that in future things are much better and the adoption rate increases in future significantly because this will only push the demand high and with more and more people adopting it better for the community. Also, currently not many are being using in their daily life’s due to lack of acceptance by merchants so even the ATM may not be more as the demand is less.

If there will be more ATM but stores are not allowing people to use bitcoin to transact, which could not be called adoption. As we are just inviting them to buy BTC for our own sake without them benefiting from transactions. Though it is really one of the problems in bitcoin, It is hard for bitcoin to be used in stores as long as the fees are high and confirmation takes a long time. Perhaps, we could think of other means of Bitcoin adoption such as using bitcoin in macro transactions. One example is to sell items with huge value (Real Estate, Cars, Jewelries, etc) using bitcoin.

There is no way to disbelieve that this is an unimaginable success.  Although Bitcoin ATMs have been seen in many countries before.  Seeing such a scene awakens a kind of hope in the mind.  Interest in bitcoin mining is growing.  I think we will all have Bitcoin ATMs at street corners at some point.  From here, everyone will use Bitcoin as needed.  And I believe that will happen in the near future.

It's more like advertising, having a bitcoin atm doesn't mean people use it often because I don't believe that bitcoin atm is as fast and cost-effective as regular ATMs.
It will take a lot of effort to improve Bitcoin technology so that it is used more frequently.

They're simply selling the bitcoins with exorbitant costs.
There's an ATM close to my hometown situated at a store I purchased bitcoin from their however they cost was high in contrast with the real cost.

In any case, I never consider it an "Appropriation" since they're simply selling it not accepting or utilizing as a Payment technique.
I am as yet burrowing for some store who may acknowledge the bitcoin as installment however I never observe such improvement
