We all know that the purpose of creating Bitcoin was to improve money transactions, Similarly, some altcoins were also created to help people in their daily life. They have different use cases. but their main purpose was to be given something that can be beneficial for the people.

If we look at the projects coming in the market today, they have only one purpose, for example, if you want to get rich then buy our coin. In fact, it does not happen, because no sensible investor invests in such a project and the project ends up with the exit scam.

However, let's look at the price history of some good altcoins those proved that the market can be ruled with a good use case and the trust of the people can also be won.

The purpose of this post is that if a team starts a good project, then 1 day will come when their project will be successful. It is hard, of course, but not impossible.

I really think litecoin is out of the game, the price of litecoin had been hilarious and stagnant since 16th February 2019, you can check the trading chart, litecoin is gradually loosing its potentially, as you so said op, although, litecoin is impossible to crash off.
Ripple and ethereum I'd really showing improvement because of good teams and new upcoming development of ETH 2.0, I strongly believe this new version will certainly increase the price of ETH maybe will hit the ATH after the one of 2017.

Whether it should be project that already run for years and have an increasing value from time to time or should be project have a certain rank in market cap sites? Just of my curiousity

I'm not sure about litecoin. Litecoin almost reached its peak for the development progress while the rest are still having a lot of plan but litecoin can't follow the development progress that has already made by bitcoin and ethereum due to the funds.
Remember there are so many scalable blockchain and that makes the litecoin can be replaced easily with the new coin with scalable blockchain with very big TPS.
The future of litecoin is not so bright and this coin has known as a lite version of bitcoin.

Litecoin really took off when Bitcoin block times and fees became insane. There's always an opportunity for Litecoin to work as a backup to Bitcoin. While Ethereum may ultimately prove to be more functional and XRP have more scalability, Litecoin has a well proven track record and a decent amount of hardware backing it. It might be a while before we see any significant price recovery though.

Because that is Litecoin made for. Litecoin is a just a forked of Bitcoin. Some people also say that Litecoin is a digital silver while Bitcoin is the digital gold.
Honestly, Litecoin is extremely good for payment which you can really pay a small amount of fee these days.
Speaking of the prices, Litecoin too is also following Bitcoin. That's why when I am buying some Bitcoins I also buying Litecoin too, diversifying.

December 2017 ATH might have a big part of all those big swings. Altcoins being pulled up.

Looking back how valueless some top altcoins has become today, you can't blame the project and the team. The taste of investors has changed, no one want to miss out. Just as human evolution, all started from ICO, IEO and DeFi that has birth the recent non fungible tokens.(NFTs)

Litecoin has been in the verge of distribution phase, since its a fork of Bitcoin, I dnt expect much development from the team except they want to play the same centralization on Tron network by Justin Sun.( launched of different projects ranging from Bittorent to Sun)
Unlike Ethereum Decentralized applications, Gaming industry is slow in DApps adoption, the available ones are into sport bet and predictions where every participant wants to make quick money and cash out on predictions.

Be patient. I believe that time will come again. Just make sure you have every coin that you believe has a chance to increase. We still have much time to buy many coins while the price does not increase higher. I remembered that time that I don't sell all of my XRP, but only sell some big portions

I am sure there will be many other coins that have the opportunity to increase, and not just the coin that the @OP mentions because, since the last year, the crypto market has many new coins that can be a good coin in the future. So you can also analyze the coins and buy them if you think that the coin is worth holding for a while.

I like the idea, but you have to understand that most of successful altcoins are prime movers, i.e like bitcoin. That's why we call them the best altcoins projects because they are the first in the game, the one that set the bar high. And that's why even though, LTC could be consider death by some, or Dogecoin as meme coin, they are still the crypto space because they have been there and no matter what we say that there are competitors, they will continue to takes it's place in the market.

Yes, but they still in the top 3 and even though we really hate XRP for being a bankers coins, others might find it a way altcoin to invest, that's why it is still up there with Ethereum and Bitcoin.

But I think it should only be Bitcoin and Ethereum and then the rest of the altcoins trying to outdo and compete with each other as far as consensus and support of the community. For the purpose of the OP, it could be, but I haven't seen any project than can really compete, it's like Bitcoin and Ethereum on top of Mt. Olympus and others are relegated below, mere mortals.  . So I doubt that there will be projects that can really challenge them in the future.

Ripple not show how stronger and make investor will join to buy his coin, last two years I sold ripple with higher price above $2 and now how come ripple few years later drop extremely to 0.2$, its worth for top ten coin on coinmarket cap? how come developer could drop their coin lower more than 200%, I am not interested any more with experience coin and likely with new listing coin and laying their moment buy at the first time and sell as soon as possible before price drop and take much profit.
