Hey guys, I know that Crypto and Defi is a huge hype at the moment but its important to take note of the few trying to scam you aswell. I found a good list of ones on the Telegram group #AskTheChef that you should definitely keep an eye out for. Come check out the list here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F8WnE-2bTzkBmqpv1po4JTUuqd6aoXQ4Kf2uP9Vqcbc/edit#gid=418055748

It is the hype that makes people drool over Defi, but the reality is some of it does not even have a value. Our goal as an investor is to ensure the safety and income of our investment. With the huge quantity of scams, we can't just be reckless in carrying out decisions on where we should invest our funds. We should carefully check if the project presents obvious red flags to determine if it's worth to risk. We should really be aware of these scams, especially that many of us are still interested in it.

Thanks for sharing. It's a great spreadsheet you have there. For all the ones who are interested in checking the spreadsheet, you can see there that the scammers are you reusing addresses in the attempt to not getting your tokens sold in any way.

More and more people are getting exposed to what DeFi is, and it’s A risk to participate in. I think in every goal that we have and every aspect that we choose to put our money in, you should know what it is beforehand And becoming more invested in it.

Just take a look at your spreadsheet. And see you have collected some information about many projects how actually they scamming people by selling their token from dev wallets. To be honest almost all Defi projects are doing this job recently. But I can not understand why people are still investing in these fake projects. It's weird to me really.

Hey guys, I know that Crypto altcoins and Defi is a huge hype at the moment

Many altcoins can be a kind of hyip as some DeFi projects are definitely scam, but unlike bitcoin which is well known and well established than to be dumped like altcoins. DeFi seemed more of an ICO in an advanced way, there was one I remembered that happened recently that pulled an exit scam after just foundation whitelisted it and legitimized by tron until the DeFi project was known to be scam, there are many other cases like that, greediness has made people to only just think one side way and be scammed. I will like you to correct that statement, change the crypto to altcoins because bitcoin does not take part of any scam, only some altcoins do.

In telegram groups, keep your eyes on people who try to reach you with PM (they send you PM first) and show intention to help you.

Scammers tend to fake admins by put usernames of real admins into their Bio area. Naively people won't pay attention on where they see the text. Text in Bio area is different than username of one user on Telegram.

Trap of scammers is:
- Hide their real username
- Put username of admin into Bio area.
At the end, people don't see usernames of scammers but they only see texts in Bio areas of scammer profiles.

If you don't delete your PMs from scammers, months later you will see the SCAM badge and a warning on their profile.

Check your settings and change it to keep you safe for scammers invitation and your privacy:
- Phone number: nobody
- Groups and channels: My contacts (in default, it is Everybody and you will be automatically invited, added to channels that run by scammers).

Good initiative OP. You know what fake ones are really irritating, they always come uo with a version of the original project and some traders will fall for that. Anyway thanks for sharing, at least we knew that these projects are being tracked.

If its okay, I guess you must continue to update the list. It will help some traders here whom fond of uniswap to catch up with these fake ones.

But I can not understand why people are still investing in these fake projects. It's weird to me really.
Since these copycat are new. The reason traders are still investing on them are the chance it could pump when the projects dont do rugged. There are instances these copy cats gain x10 from their presale which could be possible with the help of known shillers and influencers. Got some earning on these and loses too but of course its risky.

It's a good list, but mind you that many of the investors interested in this DeFi hype aren't doing any painstaking research to find the scam projects, most of the DeFi tokens are pump, dump or fake coins, imo, most of this investors are already aware of the risks in DeFi, but atm, it's all about the hype and pumped ROI that they can get from it, I don't even think there's a need to warn investors about DeFi anymore, users who are investing in it feel they can handle the risk, not that they are unaware of it.
Got some earning on these and loses too but of course its risky.
Imo, the people who could lose out the most in this DeFi hype are people who consider holding DeFi tokens for the long run, DeFi investors should always take out their ROI when they get them, with all the scams going on, DeFi doesn't look set to last too long.
