Kaiji: Anime to learn about the stakes in Gambling

I was perusing Youtube and the algorithm keeps on recommending clips of the anime Kaiji. I didn't check any but I got curious, so I searched it in Google. It was a pretty good story. I am more of a manga reader rather than a anime watcher. The story is pretty good and I think gambling discussion deserves to see this and atleast some of them check it out.

I think this has a great story.

This site is what I always visit when someone suggests me an Anime. It has a high score and there is even a YouTube video talking about this anime being the best gambling anime out there. I might watch this but I still think Kakegurui and No Game No Life is one of the best animes so far related to betting or gambling.

Kakegurui is a gambling base anime as well but in my opinion, it is not so good as Kaiji, If you would watch Kakegurui Losing is not that big of a deal, Even though it is particularly both gambling it is in a different level of Psychological aspect, While Kaiji has a risk involved in every time he loses, I say Kakegurui has a lot of fan service on it and if you're into Fan service and gambling at the same time, I suggest it but If you are into the story I think Kaiji is great in aesthetic in pure gambling.

I wish there are Anime Bitcoin base story but again there are not.

I love Kakegurui because my waifu Jabami Yumeko is there haha. Anime that has bitcoin as a center for plot is boring for my taste. I do not mean to offend but finance centered anime are not that famous, the most succesful anime I can think of is Kengan Ashura/Ashua.

I disagree. As an anime fan, Kakegurui is the best for me than Kaiji. I didn't watch it yet but I've read it's plot and manga. Kakegurui just simply tells us that gambling should be that way, in a funnier way even if you lost, you don't have to take it seriously like you're gonna lose your mind for feeling like a real professional gambler whenever you have a loss. It's about having fun all the time because why bother being sad when you already lost the bet.

But that's just my opinion, about the anime we're talking about here.

I never heard about this one and I used to read stories on Manga as well, especially if the episode on movie is still not update.
I didn't know that there's an Anime that is about gambling since most of the Anime I read and watched before is more on fighting and so on. I'll check this one later but hopefully there's a movie for this one since I still prefer to watch the movies compare to Manga.

Kaiji does the tension real good though, the suspense each time Kaiji plays because his life literally depends on that game. There was an episode where the life of his friends are the one at stake. I think Kaiji has a good pull when it comes to raw emotion, it really puts you a sense of dread and at the same time pity for Kaiji's state.

Kakegurui or Joker game also is pretty much recommended anime for all the gambling enthusiast. It gives knowledge, and also introduce new types of gambling that you dont see typically. Although, Joker game only showed poker scene in the first episode, for me it was one of the best depiction, on how to outsmart someone in poker.

I have also seen this movie, and I must say that one can have substantial insights after watching this. As per Manga and Animes, I am not really a fan but I am glad that I get to see that there are growing channels of satisfying each unique interest of those interested in gambling like us.

I also watched kaiji  film before but not yet seen kakegurui since it's a series I might not able to finish due to time but during quarantine I got hooked in some KDrama also Like Itaewon Class, not gambling related but ambitious enough to try to risk in different investment platform. I will add The Royal Gambler list of to watch when I got some time.

Although it is not directly related to gambling, I agree that “Itaewon Class” is a good KDRama series. It is more on the business management, stocks and how young entrepreneurs gamble what they have to achieve their dreams. I think that we are all have something like that within us, don’t we? But of course, it is important to set limits to pause and reassess things once again.

So do I, not familiar with this anime and It get my attention after reading it here, I'll be checking it and see how it turned my actual interest not a very fan of gambling but if there's a good ideas that will be bring out why not.

Got to combined interest and some habits especially when there's exiting twist while reading the stories.

Well, like I have said we have different taste when it comes to anime I respect that you love Kakegurui and I also do love it in term of the light side of gambling, but even those Kaiji don't have a great art and design for characters its main story was really great for me you can really feel the Risk in playing gambling and the thing he should endure to get what he wants.

It is my first time seeing this Kdrama I will definitely check this out, I am a fan of unusual plot story in Kdrama and a gambling base one is new for me, Thanks for the recommendation.

Kakegurui is one of my favorite anime but I haven't seen the Kaiji one I will definitely check that out as well, I guess the protagonist in Kakegurui don't usually care if she might lose or not because they are all student that still has support of their parents so getting money isn't a problem for her.

Only Kakegurui is the only gambling anime I have heard of and the best one for me as of now. This is the first time I heard Kaiji but will start to read it later. I am also curious about the story especially that it is related to gambling, hopefully, that the story is good enough to not make me bored.

Reading the synopsis, it is said that he has this problem caused by his friend tricking him. He can't pay the debt and then he is offered to join in this underground gambling in a cruise ship. I think this just show a desperation to this MC to join. I guess that also tells us something more about desperate gamblers but not actually addicted gamblers like Kakegurui. It is an old anime but it is something new.

Thank you for the feed back about the topic being appropriate in this board. I am more of a manga reader right now, if I get a new phone then maybe I will start watching anime again. To be honest, I haven't been interested when I first saw Kaiji because the artwork was not in my taste and I did not bother to read the plot plus my choice of manga is between the range of Berserk being dark fantasy and Kengan Ashura being martial arts, sports related manga is the one that I am avoiding the most because in my opinion it is too boring for me, Martial arts manga on the other has been marked to me ever since I was 13 so no doubt that I love Martial arts manga. Kaiji is a new one for me because I am avoiding the genre of manga and I have a list of manga to complete so maybe I will watch it if I get a new phone.
