Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I dont want to get flamed or bash any pools.  Just look at the threads here that are at the top of page 1 and look at some of the latest post..

I have heard its happening on more then 1 pool..

Miners are being redirected to some unknown IP's..  So basically they are mining for someone else on some other pool..
