Electrum fees slider

I have a problem with the latest Electrum Bitcoin wallet. There is no fees slider and there is no fee tabs under preferences to activate the "Replace-By-Fee" so I have no way to set transaction fees

I don't see that anyone else has encountered this problem after searching online for a solution.

I have tried downloading the latest software a few time

The fee box/slider was moved to the new windows that shows up after you click "Pay" in the Send tab. Just try it out.

The default window when you click "Pay" should look like this:


Note that there is no way to select RBF here... you either have to use the global setting in "Tools -> Preferences -> Transactions":


or click the "Advanced" button on the "Confirm Transaction" dialog and it will open the "Advanced Preview" window and you can set RBF there:



NOTE: You can also set the "Advanced Preview" as the default "Confirm Transaction" dialog by selecting it on the "Tools -> Preferences -> Transactions" screen shown above.

Mine doesn't look like this. Wasn't this only for the old versions pre 4.0.0? I also didn't manually change any settings after installing it.

Since 4.0.0, I only get the advanced preview by default, where I can set the fee, view my inputs/outputs and click "Sign" or "Broadcast".

That screenshot is from 4.0.3.

Try changing the "advanced preview" option in the settings (Tools -> Preferences -> Transactions). For a "clean" install, the "Advanced Preview" option is off by default...

AFAIK, it's disabled by default on 4.0.0b0 till the latest, but it may be based from the OS.

You can clear the doubt by temporarily renaming the config file or "electrum" folder in the appdata directory,
launch Electrum and it will open using the default settings, then see if advance preview in "preference->transactions" is unchecked.

After the test, delete the new config file/electrum folder and rename back the original.
