I've seen some popular Vloggers here in our country that is being hacked. I saw one with around 5 Million subscribers being hacked but got recovered within the day it is hacked and now there is this one famous vlogger who got 1 Million subscribers got hacked and changed to "Ripple Foundation" and it got hacked 2 days ago and still not recovered till now.

Oh man this is very bad. The youtube scam has been happening openly, people will easily fall for it. If the bitcoin address truly belongs to the scammers, then for sure we need to create awareness of the scams. If he has already earned, then 1.4btc is more than enough for him to spend for the month.

I already reported this channel too. So sad to the victim of this scam. I hope some victims send their bitcoin ready to lose, not their money for the needs, bills, medical, etc. This will create bad feedback about bitcoin again, even if bitcoin didn't do something wrong.

The video has already been removed. Youtube is sadly a common platform for scam because it's easy to gain audience, set up a live stream and Youtube doesn't deal with them fast enough to ensure that the scammers fail. I remember a scammy live stream of Binance impostors that was going on for days before Youtube took it down, even though others and me reported it. And it seems to me that often the hackers don't make new accounts but hack some channels and rename them instead. So perhaps Youtube should work on improving security, so that it's harder to do such things.

I haven't seen the video yet and it has been removed by Youtube for violating the guidelines. it seems that many have reported the video so that youtube deleted it. So I don't know what the content creator is talking about.

BTW, scammers are always looking for ways and always find new ways to take your money. it seems like using the youtube platform to promote a scam is an easy way to get victims. Therefore, we must always be vigilant and careful in investing, especially cryptocurrency.

That's is why YouTube needs to step up and improve how they take action towards this kind of scams to protect its users.

Famous youtubers in my country got hacked by "Live News" too displaying crypto related contents. People should be wary about this one, this has been rolling for a very long time now and still people are giving cents about it. This is what we can do with this, report it right away so no other people will fall for it. Good that it's already reported, we can also inform other people about this scams, specially friends and families. We're getting tired of explaining about bitcoin but we shouldn't be tired of informing them about these scams cause we are the ones informed about this. the good news is; that youtube account has been locked by Youtube.  Youtube itself cannot close the account without reports from thousands of people for cases like this.  but what in my opinion is Youtube's weakness is the feature of "disabling comments" provided by Youtube.  scammers immediately disable comments when they just start "LIVE" to avoid information from users who know that it is "FRAUD", this is why there are still 1 or 2 people trapped with their fraudulent scheme.  I hope YouTube updates its "LIVE" policy a little more..

Gladly this video is already deleted on youtube due to dozens of here that reported it. Apparently, Gemini's project is already hooked with a hacking event on a popular Filipino Youtuber named AkosiDogie, in which hackers used his youtube's popularity to promote the Gemini project. AFAIK he already retrieved it but still the hackers are nowhere to be found but one thing is for sure, Gemini project resides near or inside Philippines. I don't know why Gemini keeps doing this hideous thing. Hopefully, their scam would stop soon.

Theft of money from people has existed throughout history and in various ways, and the only way to deal with it in any period is to increase the level of public awareness.
For example, I remember that in 2017 the rate of bank card fraud reached its peak and fraudsters used to empty accounts in various ways.
And the government intervened here and reduced this by increasing public awareness.

Exactly! People should be more aware of what is going on to stop their scam scheme. It's always the best way to get rid of them because if not, more people would be a victim of their fraud. AFAIK in the past there's channel named "Live News" too promoting scam, but the subscriber is 1.8 million while this channel only have 196K. I've already reported the channel and I hope you doing same.

That "Live News" is the one who's hacking youtube accounts. The hacker's modus is hacking famous or grown youtube accounts - deleting all of it's videos - change the name to LiveNews - Going on live and start waiting for someone to fall for their trap. I've seen this "Live News" 2x and doing the same thing but gracefully the hacked accounts were recovered within a day and restored its videos. My only concern is cryptocurrency is having a bad image over the viewers and the subscribers of those accounts.

I think when people are interested in this kind of scam on YouTube they are not experienced people, they are just new investors who don't understand how bitcoin works and how to get it. Certainly not by way of a giveaway that is done with a scammer. By sending 1 BTC then getting 2BTC. it is a type of scam that many who are familiar with bitcoin and the investment world are already familiar with it.

Currently the ads that appear on YouTube do look legitimate, but the content presented must be filtered again. Many scammers take advantage of YouTube advertisements to share their videos so that they are watched by many people and hope to get more victims. I even get all kinds of YouTube video ads every time I watch a video.

We also have to stop the chain of video scammers as mentioned by the OP by reporting them as fraudulent and scam content and currently proven videos it has been deleted by youtube.

I am very happy that the video scams are finally removed by YouTube, because if YouTube let the video continue, then there will be
many people at a disadvantage. I believe the senior members of this forum are unlikely to be attracted by such scams, those who
are very easy to be attracted are definitely newbies who don't have experience in the crypto world. With the YouTube video removed,
it proves the many reports that YouTube has received about that video. We do have to help report if we come across such fraudulent videos.

Maybe there are experience guys fall but for sure only few since the reporting of hacking of YouTube accounts will came out first by the owner before those scamming happened and many Filipino YouTubers hacked for the past months.

This is the reason why we need to be careful on investment,giveaways or any something like that offered especially on YouTube and we need to stay away for now, but it's sickest decision for people telling that it's ok to risk since they are just tolerating the scammers to create another attempt to get a money from innocent people.

This kind of scam are all over the Youtube, on different content creators from different countries. Especially in our country which one of the victim was a eSports youtube creator with more than millions of subscribers.

They are existing in different social media sites. Its not new seeing scam videos like this, thats why we need to be more careful and always do a research before believing their words.

I already created a lot of threads with this kind of bitcoin giveaway scam, most of them are already taken action with the youtube but every day I browse on there is another channel making live with a bitcoin scam, there is another advertisement with this bitcoin scam.  I think the youtube must need to prohibit this kind of channel-related on these scams. It's better to report them immediately so the youtube security will notice immediately.

i have friends that are not into btc but they know that im into it . my friends use social media everyday especially youtube , when they came across a video like that , btc scam or fake giveway . what will they say to me ? they think that what im doing is useless and this makes me hard to convince them to join me on this btc business . i havent or i rarely seen an advertsement that are scams related to btc but channels and videos yes . even if we cant stop them all but if we all work together of reporting them ,  that still helps .

I've seen some popular Vloggers here in our country that is being hacked. I saw one with around 5 Million subscribers being hacked but got recovered within the day it is hacked and now there is this one famous vlogger who got 1 Million subscribers got hacked and changed to "Ripple Foundation" and it got hacked 2 days ago and still not recovered till now.

Yeah, I've heard of this issue before, this scams, the "Ripple Foundation" are hacking a lot of famous youtuber accounts and it is still can be recovered. This is also common in our country, the famous vlogger already recovered his account which is good for him, but other vloggers should be aware of this kind of hacking. They are targeting popular accounts to promote their scam, Youtube is not so secured if these things possibly occurs to someone so everyone is not safe and everyone should be aware about this scams.

Still- I thought it was all legit and if you go to the website gemini.social it is still up for business. I wish there was a way to get my bitcoin back as I was brand new at getting it and was very excited about holding it.

You Tube has already become an insecure channel, as you have realized, events that promote giveaway Bitcoin and crypto are frequent scam and even use the image of personalities related to crypto truncating the original videos to deceive users.

It is time for You Tube to improve security and prevent these types of fraudulent events from being broadcast on the channel. It's honestly unfortunate that a popular channel has such an insecure environment.
