Mmmmmmm... AFAIK the text you enter in the "Description" column usually doesn't remain when you restore the wallet in a different Electrum than the original (I don't know if that is the personal transaction information you ask for).

On the other hand, as far as the addresses are there, the history of transactions involving them can't be deleted as they are already public.

What do you mean by deleting the Electrum account?

If you are talking about your seed phrase no you can't able to delete it because it is a recovery phrase backup and there's no way that you can delete it(Except for deleting the wallet file).

If you want to be safe on creating an Electrum wallet always run the PC on offline mode and never connect it to the internet.
If you have an extra laptop or PC you can install Electrum there and make a wallet without internet and make sure it was downloaded from correct website which is Electrum.org.

Your question isn't that clear. Do you mean passphrase? I have never heard of "Paraphrase when it comes to electrum or even other wallets. If someone knows your passphrase and has access to your computer then that means they can be able to access your account, transaction details, addresses, private keys, seed phrases and also spend your coins. If someone knows your bitcoin address, there's nothing you can do. Everything is recorded on the blockchain and publically be viewed by anybody using a bitcoin explorer. Create a new wallet and move your finds to a new address with a different seed phrase and passphrase.

can the OP explain what he is trying to accomplish here?
as others have said, your transactions can't be deleted as they are already in the network. also, if you just want to "clean" your wallet. there's no delete option afaik.
maybe in your outgoing payments - there's a delete option if you right click the tx

@OP, do you still have funds on that wallet? because you can always create new wallet in case you are worried about your old passphrase or password. and then send the remaining funds to your new wallet. and make sure this time, your keys are safe and secure.

The best to do is to delete the whole wallet, but thinking you can deleted transactions that you have made or the ones you received, it is not possible. Also know that the transactions are recorded on bitcoin ledger which is very transparent and available for anyone that have your address or txid to check. In short, transacrions history are not deletable on bitcoin blockchain even after you delete the wallet, the transactions history will still remain on blockchain.

All suggestions had answered the post above.

If you mean deleting a wallet from the electrum file, you should go to the folder where Electrum is located.

Go to keyboard, tap windows + r, write %appdata% > electrum > wallets > and deleting default_wallet or such wallet, make sure you have the back up 12 mnemonic seed, this means you can restoring it back.

they would need either:
* your password + your wallet file
* your mnemonic + (if it exist) mnemonic extension words called passphrase
* your master private key
* your master public key
to find your transaction history.

if they have any of the above except the last one, they can also empty your wallet so you'll have to worry about losing your bitcoin more than your privacy for now. so create a new wallet and send all your coins there first.
if they have your master public key, then there is nothing you can do about your privacy and what you have done so far. but you can prevent them from seeing what you do in the future by moving your coins to a new wallet.

there is nothing else you can do. erasing your wallet file locally is not going to do you any good.

I will suggest the person to send the money to a custodail exchange first before sending it to the new wallet address, with this the transaction will not be linked to the formal wallet addresses. But sending to an exchange is not good because they are custodial and can freeze account. I will advice the person to first send the bitcoin to a mixer first, then send it to the new wallet address, or make use of coinjoin, with this any attacker will not be able to track the new wallet addresses.

Im afraid that somone have gotten ahold of my personal pharaprase. And Im scared that they will get my personal  transaktion information.
Bitcoin is decentralized and all transactions are recorded on the network, by miners and nodes, totally decentralized. You can not erase any of your transactions. Satoshi, the bitcoin creator can not.

Passphrase or password or seed, you need to distinguish them. It's important.

See 2 situations
  • Password: simply change old password to a new one, that should be strong. Some people call wallet password as passphrase, example Bitcoin Core.
  • Seed (fully called as mnemonic seed): If you lose seed, you lose that wallet. Hence, you must create a new wallet and move your fund to that new wallet as soon as possible. Or better make a sweep.

Some facts about Electrum:
  • A non-custodial and Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) wallet.
  • You have ful control on mnemonic seed (default or with extend seed).
  • You don't have to create any Electrum account to use it.
  • You only have to download legit Electrum wallet (not fake, phishing one) and install it on your devices (laptop, desktop, or mobiles).
  • Backup mnemonic seed for later recovery on any device

Where to download Electrum wallet?
  • There: https://electrum.org/#download
  • To download it: Visit the website, click on the OS you want to use, and get link to download. Never search it on Google or Apple store/ Google Play (especially Goolge Play where you will find fake Electrum applications)
  • To be safe, verify wallet
You should not believe me or anyone on download link. Verify it. When you have time, please read.

Developers warn people about importance of wallet verification.

Notes
  • Desktop/ laptop: You need to have mnemonic seed + strong password for wallet file
  • Mobile: You need to have mnemonic seed + PIN code
  • Password or PIN code is second-layer protection for your seed. If you lose your seed, you lose your wallet and BTC
  • How to Create a Strong/Secure Password

You also need to read Electrum Documentation to understand the wallet. It is for old version of Electrum wallet but you can get basics and come here again to ask if don't understand something.

Quote

If you use block explorers to check your transactions, without Tor, your privacy will be collected by block explorer companies. You can not delete it from their databases. When you create a new wallet, and check your transactions from it, do it with Tor browser

From what I have understood from your post, you want to clean the transactions that have been done on an address (past TXids, amount, etc.) and actually remove it so there would be nothing found? I'm afraid you cannot do that just like what others said as well. There is no reversal of transactions, and it's forever in the blockchain. It would always be there, and it would be searchable with an explorer.

You should just create a new wallet and transfer all the funds you have in that compromised wallet. I'm not sure how there would be personal information in a transaction unless you have posted about it on the internet. Maybe clean that post or something. Other than that, I think you have nothing else to do.

If by "personal pharaprase", you're talking about the "12 word" seed mnemonic that Electrum provides you... then the short answer is NO, you cannot "delete it" to stop someone with the "12 words" accessing it.

The long answer is that because Electrum is a "Hierarchical Deterministic" (aka HD) wallet, if another person has those 12 words, then they have everything they need to construct a "perfect clone" of your wallet. This means they will be able to see every transaction you have sent/received with that wallet and can even steal any coins that are currently in that wallet.

If you think that someone else has access to your "12 words", you need to create a completely new wallet with a new seed mnemonic (aka 12 words) and send all your coins to the new wallet ASAP!! Keep the new "12 words" safe and secure... never store it digitally, and never let anyone else gain access to it!

You really need to be more specific.
We can only guess what you exactly mean.

If you are talking about the passphrase to protect the wallet, yes. You can simply delete your wallet file. To recover your wallet you'd need your mnemonic code.
However, if someone already got access to the wallet file and the passphrase, your coins (if there are any) are at risk. He'll also be able to check your transaction history. Nothing you can do against it.

If you are talking about the mnemonic code, then no. He already has access to all of your coins (if there are some) and your transaction history. Nothing you can do against it.
