It would keep things nice and stable for once. I am tired of limitation by irrational greed and selfishness.

Sorry Atlas, I sent an email to youtube from FoxMedia@aol.com and told them you had stolen your soundtrack from an album by "Justin Folds 7" an up-n-coming group.

I didn't think they'd actually take it seriously....  Cry

I think someone needs to reconsider his interperation of fair use policies

If you found that funny or something i said useful i always appreciate spare change

It was used under Fair Use. The copyright claim has been disputed.

Ostracism? Isn't that the libertarian way of dealing with scammers? That and harsh language.

It's pretty clear you don't understand copyright or fair use. You didn't post it for the purposes of "comment" or "news" or anything else of that nature. I could post an entire video of the movie "Taken" and say this is what I'd do if someone kidnapped my kid, and that wouldn't be fair use either. The only thing you have going for you is that you only used ~4m of video, absolutely nothing else about the way you posted it is even remotely "fair use". For what it's worth, when a news story uses a clip of audio or video (something the "length of the copyrighted work used" applies to) they typically use no more than about 30 seconds or so.

It's no wonder your YouTube accounts keep getting flagged. :|

On-topic, I am genuinely interested in your plans about how you'd get a Bitcoin scammer into a phonebooth. It seems to me like enforcement isn't the issue with Bitcoin - it's finding the bastards first.

Public flogging is the answer.  Or maybe the stockade.

It's an answer to a question no one asked - we already have plenty we could do with scammers when we find them. The question as it pertains to Bitcoin is simply how the fuck do we do that?

The same thing should be done to people who post meaningless threads that push relevant threads off the front page.  Roll Eyes

Relevant threads won't be pushed off the front page unless people post in the meaningless threads more than the relevant ones....

But would not very large text and a lot of extra whitespace padding help that?  Inquiring minds want to know?

Seems like doing so could serve an valid goal (in the process if irritating users.)

I wish I had a funny name, but now it would be just sock puppetry I'm afraid.

sig spam anywhere and self-moderated threads on the pol&soc board are for losers.
