Today we are happy to finally announce the launch of  Selacoin.
 
A bit of history on the name SelaCoin  - sela was one of the first coins in history used for trading - and was originally  made purely out of nickel.
The ancient Sela was known across the globe as the only means to pay for commodities and services, and was more secure then other coins due to its exact size and specific weight - making it near impossible to forge.
 The Sela also proved itself immune to nature or time, as it didnt rust or react no weather nor age!!
No matter how hot or wet the enviroment was, Sela could take it - Making it the perfect intercontinental coin early explorers took with them.
Sela Coins are still being found in perfect condition to this day in archaeological sites across the world, proving just how the ancient Sela was a pioneer of its time.
The Sela Coin was one of the main starting points for modern cash systems, and basic trade, that entually changed the world !


How is SelaCoin different then other coins?

1. the fee for any trasaction is constant - it will not go up like some coins do when there are more users -no it is the lowest possible and will remain so .

2. the trsaction time is super fast! apaert from fast trasactions the coin uses latest imporvments to support enviromently friendly mining /staking - we offer one of the best / highest staking amounts compared to others.

3. the SelaCoin is  basicaly bitcoin on steroids - faster trasactions, clean and eay to use ui, very low resource consuption on mining.

To begin mining on windows:
1. download the SelaCoin Wallet to your computer and install it
2. open the selacoin.conf file and paste in the following :

3. Download cpuminer from https://github.com/pooler/cpuminer/releases/tag/v2.5.0 and extract the zip file.

Create a miner.bat file named miner.bat and paste the following text into miner.bat.

minerd --url=127.0.0.1:25521 --userpass=rpc_selacoin:11a30f9ed1cc7252e6c7bb503
Save the file inside the extracted cpuminer folder.

Open your wallet and keep it open, then execute miner.bat to start mining your first Sela block.

Hey thanks tried that one already but it's still on LTC (which Selacoin was forked from) with litecoin nodes etc, even ticker LTC still on qt wallet etc..

Tried the one called "selac" too https://github.com/deltatoken/selac as well but still not up to date, this one is showing the correct ticker though but seeds aren't correct neither genesis block

well there were several project in the begining but currently the current client and node are not litecoin based - as they are Scrypt
with nodes and several improvments to the original code of darkcoin

you are right - i just  updated the full spec and mission - the 3 main points in which our coin is better then all competitors are :
1. can process alot more trasactions then other coins - around 55 thousand trasaction per minute!!
2. the difficulty has be carefully adjusted to allow anyone to earn SelaCoins via mining and staking - unlike ohter coins that are not profitable to mine, or are very hard on low powered computers!!
3. we will add shops which allow usage of SelaCoins and service providers - we already have them just need to build the website for it.
4. SelaCoins Are truely secure and imppossible to trace - anyone with a wallet can add as many addresses which are untraceble - unlike several oher crypto currencies.
5. SelaCoins are very energy efficient - as they support staking with no minimum, and as such anyone with selacoins can earn more just by keeping their wallet open.

I will update the discord channel and the telegram pool very soon - it is just takng a bit longer due to some  descisions we are making  regardng wether to host the block explorer in a subdomain or in Another domain alltogether and which doman to use for that  - Iill try to constantly update this thread and answer any questions anyone might have.

be sure to use the latest wallet version  and you should be good - current mining take around 10 to 200 seconds to find a block - and staking is available after several hours  - i did it this way to ensure everyone gets a fair chance to mine before staking bgins - also i decided to postpone masternodes as not alot of people realize how to seup so instead switched the wallet to support staking - at 150 SelaCoins POS reward

i had to add staking as not alot of people understood how to setup a ,masternode for mining - currently mining soly is highly profitable and very soon the coin will be added to several large exchnges - staking is available after 240 hours to encourage mining blocks  first, staking is at 200 SelaCoins Reward While the Mining Is at 140 Selacoins reward - when we add to axchnges initial price will be at 1 usd per coin or 0.0000872365 btc
