You should start to care for it because a wise choice may help you to become rich in a short time but we don't need to compare between ethereum and bitcoin because these two has a different advantages and disadvantages and has their own time to go up and go down. If we manage to predict those two and manage to use it both then it will surely help us to get rich in no time. Having a multiple business may give you a bigger chance to success but you will also be having a bigger chance to fail. If you really want to be a successful businessman then you should take risk.

Who think about these two digital currencies? They're not the same class and can't be compared to each other. In case of usability then you failed about ethereum be useful than bitcoin. Even the blind can't compare the two and come to a conclusion that, bitcoin is a slave to ethereum now or in the future.
Ethereum is centralized and can't be relied upon because it can be hurt by the government also, remember that, some centralized projects on ethereum network has vanished or be frozen by some entities. Bitcoin is decentralized which is the best for digital currency.

It is noticeable how ethereum follows the price trend of bitcoin giving its titled the queen of cryptocurrencies after bitcoin hailed as the king. But to be honest, if people were more into use cases definitely ethereum would be on top before bitcoin, I imagine things as what it looks like when ethereum is the first born cryptocurrency in the market, would it still be the same as now?

Bitcoin and Ethereum don't match up in comparison...
Bitcoin is a decentralized coin while Ethereum is a centralized coin with the smart contract and in terms of the amount of circulation in the market it is very different, this is why we can't compare Bitcoin with Eth. both have their own advantages and disadvantages, both cannot be compared at any time.

If Bitcoin is also offering its own DeFi then perhaps you can make a fair comparison, but it's not. If you have DApps on Bitcoin then you can compare it with Ethereum, but it doesn't have them. If you can find a stablecoin on the Bitcoin blockchain then you may compare it with USDT on Ethereum, but Bitcoin doesn't have it. So there is really no reason to compare Bitcoin and Ethereum when each one of them is offering a different dish.

I think he comparing is in the used cases, nothing successful has not being built on bitcoin, the hyped Rootstock even delivered below expectation. Bitcoin maximalist are the reason for this unnecessary frequent  comparison, unfortunately most of them had been silent since the year begins. That's the edge of bitcoin. The popularity even to noncrypto users. When you ask random people, the first thing that they will recognize is bitcoin among other things. They have heard it but of course most of them don't know how to transact with bitcoin. So yes, the main advantage of btc is its popularity. If you try to inject eth in the discussion. They will be confused especially if you start talking about different tokens under eth.

Both ethereum and the bitcoin are a lot of uses yes ether have a lot of purposes but bitcoin too because it is the main of the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin have a lot of uses too not only the ethereum you better to list also to your post. It's wrong. It looks like you have seen it from the mcap only. There are so many factors that can be used to determine how good the crypto is.

It's just like a coin must have usability, good governance, fair distribution or etc. In this case, the creator of this thread was seeing it from the usability of coins. I could say that bitcoin has used for some purpose like store of value, payment and etc but at the same time, ethereum has more usefulness than bitcoin. It can be used for ico, staking in the next update, but I could not deny that bitcoin can also be used for the fundraising purpose too.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are already quite obsolete coins in terms of technology. Ethereum is now showing how low scalability it is. Commissions in his network reach enormous proportions. Bitcoin and ethereum have different usage and potentials but they are both precious when it comes to crypto community. i think yes ETH with real utility is more bigger than BTC but you must know Defi and ICO is used by some people to get instant money, they make new projects and after that make the price fall to the bottom and leave it. This has a negative effect on investors to return to play

but unfortunately ethereum will never be able to beat the price of bitcoin because maybe ethereum has a very large supply so it will make it difficult to have a price as expensive as bitcoin, bitcoin will still be number one even though there are currently lots of new coins, one of which is YFI that has sprung up that has a supply. which are few and can beat the price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin established its status for years by unknown creator and still remain on top. Its not easy to surpass its position though eth is indeed a good competitor as a top altcoin and has better technology.

literally etherum has many projects developed as new altcoins that are ready to compete in the market. but bitcoin is superior even though it doesn't do it all, with a high market cap and price, I think it is enough for bitcoin to become the most potential coin for trading as well as investing (long or short term).

Connected between ethereum and bitcoin because when bitcoin keep on fire with higher price ethereum always allow how bitcoin going on, but when bitcoin going down never for hold and invest etehreum because price keep going down too allowed what happen with bitcoin. Basically, the products that you have mentioned before are not directly correlated with ethereum itself. As far as i know if those products have built by the 3rd party. You should remember bitcoin can be used for ico, defi or something else but this actually depends on the platform whether it was supporting the cross chain asset or not.

The main feature that has already developed so well by ethereum just the smartcontract.
