Seasoned forum members will be aware of the Yobit scammers but newbies and those who joined after Yobit stopped their campaign here might not be aware of what Yobit actually is.
Yep, with all the exchanges out there it's extremely hard for a complete noob to know which ones to avoid, and they also may not have developed a sense of smell for shit offers/programs/whatever like this one from Yobit.
This drives me nuts:
Very unprofessional, and obviously Yobit hasn't improved in any way whatsoever in the years they've been around. Good warning for the newcomers, JollyGood.
Thank you, as you are aware people who have very little background or knowledge about crypto and are just starting out could be potentially susceptible to these types of scammers.
The Pharmacist, if you go on to their website and look at the sell wall of those desperate to offload fake tokens they purchased then you might go more nuts or even worse you go full-on berserk because the whole thing has scam written all over it yet like a production line service users are falling for it and the cycle goes on. Yobit must have made multiple millions out of what they call their ICO tokens but they are useless and pointless numbers made up from thin air.
Now they are offering this virtual mining trash and they used the name of a scam crypto project called Minex... the mind really does boggle.
If i am not wrong then they are the only platform who send highest number of emails to their registered users and most of the email contain selfmade (useless) investment ideas. After not getting enough responses from IEO advertisements through users emails now they have imported another idea which is blended with cryptotalk this time. Personally i think talking about yobit is nothing but a waste of time and thats the reason i am completely ignoring all yobit related things (Email, media news, Social media, Cryptotalk).
Thanks Jollygood for bringing our attention on their recent activity and i wish forum newbies be aware about it.
Note: Unsubscribe from yobit email notification is the best solution for us.
I agree, maybe they have seen enough to know IEOs especially on their scam exchange will not be happening as the market is slowly dying but their are launching imaginary tokens which are usable only on the Yobit website and is designed to ensure they make money whereas most investors will not because it is a ponzi pyramid scheme.
As you pointed out they are probably sending out emails on very high levels and their Cryptotalk website is another fishing platform for them to utilise to make money all by promoting in one way or another their trash projects but it is the people that are new to crypto that I feel sorry for because they have to navigate through a lot of scammers before they get an understanding of what is really going on.
I think that member
coupable created similar topic about this yobit virtual mining before
Virtual Miner: Another scam offer from Yobit. That topic was created more than month ago on September 1st
It would be better not giving them more advertisement with opening new topics about this ponzi fake cloud mining thing
I missed that thread, thank you for the link. I have that user on ignore, I do not know why I did it now but I will try to look in to it and find out why.
As for not creating more topics to give more advertising to Yobit, you are definitely right but there is a fine line between posting about them and inadvertently promoting them on one hand and warning people about them on the other. As long as the words Yobit and scam appear in the thread title names then maybe that would hopefully not be misleading users.
