there is no point in using a VPN, maybe today you are safe, but in the future, we do not know what will happen..  I only trade through the Firefox browser, indeed I have tried trading using a tor browser but the internet speed is very slow so that the buy or sell activity is very disturbed.  So far I have no reason to use a VPN in trading..

I don't have optional way how to trade without using VPN (Virtual Private Network) when accessing to Binance exchange market, more than last two week I have got used to use VPN (Virtual Private Network) because my country IP not allowed using domestic IP to open and trade with Binance exchange market, I don't know why Binance exchange block with my country IP, first time looks not easy why we have VPN for entering to Binance account and we use private browser when trading, not safety when opening our social media like facebook, twitter and instagram using VPN and try to log in gmail with using VPN, I have open two browser each other to Binance exchange have to use VPN and without VPN to my social media platform.

Depends on where I am trading, if I am trading on my national local exchange I am definitely not using VPN because it is my own nations website, why would I want to look like I am coming from another country, I am even willing to give my KYC to them because they share it with the government (well technically police have a department for it) and considering they already have my information anyway from the bank side of things, I see no problem with KYC sharing on the crypto side as well since they already know it anyway.

But when we are talking about foreign places, if there is registered governmental involvement, I rather not do that, because I do not want my trading to be known by a foreign country, why would I do that, I would rather keep that part a bit more secret.

It will just compromise the data and security of us. Maybe, it will help us today to evade some terms and regulations of the government. But it might also affect us just like what you said. If there is a legal sentiment between your country and exchange. And there are also restrictions, better not use vpn to risk what you have. In fact, there are many exchanges which not restricted your country to invest. Or try to fly away in your country in order to go out from the restrictions.

If we can trade without using a VPN, why should try trading with a VPN. Because in my opinion the risk is very big when trading using
a VPN, if it gets caught by the exchanges where we usually trade. Worst of all, our accounts can be blocked and our funds will also be
frozen. So far I have been safe crypto trading without using a VPN, so don't want to try trading using a VPN.
I agree that as long as you can access the exchange without using a VPN you should go for that route and make sure you are not using an illegal exchange because a lot of times exchange will accept customers from all around the world and later when you withdraw large sum of money they will ask for KYC and then deny the withdrawal stating that we don't allow users from your country and you clicked on I agree the terms and conditions where somewhere it would be written we don't accept users from ABC country.

Better to use an exchange like Binance so at least you know that if they allow you to make account and trade then you are all set and good and if even problems happen later you at least know the intent of the exchange is not to scam you by any means.

An example can be seen here, it's related to gambling though but the same can happen on exchanges - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261029.0

They kept asking for various ID proofs and after the user provided all proofs they still froze his account.

You can use a VPN when an exchange is blacklisted in your country which means you are not supposed to use it. Exchanges may ask you KYC at that time you will be exposed from your fake location so your funds will get locked so never ever try to use VPN with exchanges just because you are prohibited to use the exchange from your location.

By the way, understand VPN is not going to give you complete privacy and can do more harm than good in crypto space.

Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?

For trading VPN always risky and as third party handle this software there chance to hack your site or your personal computer. There are too many example about hacking with VPN but where govt full restricted crypto site there they can use VPN as no other options. But always bear in mind that risky of hacking.

thanks.

Apart from the issue of exchange policy itself, enabling VPN on the exchange is not very useful because accounts are not published in it or communicate with each other such as forums or social media. When using an exchange, all matters are between you and the exchange, no need for any protective coating.
But what would you do when the exchange does not allow registration from your country and there is no option but to use a proxy network to access the exchange. I think it should be fine as long as you are using the exchange normally because ultimately the exchange is earning money on each trade you make on their platform so there is no reason for them to ban or restrict you unless you do something fishy or outrageous.

Crypto exchange and social media are generally used for used for different purpose but the use of VPN when visiting exchange site is very useful if privacy is top priorities cause data breach and hacker attack happened sometime which may someone make exchange user vulnerable to attack.
Indeed the hacker can also see all the data sent between you and the platform if not encrypted and using a proxy at least hides your real information and you are less prone to be hacked and stalked because it is a common tactic hackers use where they will find your location and some details about you, then blackmail you and stalk your everyday activities.

when you start professional trading so please avoid any VPN because of maximum VPN provider trying to scam or leaked personal data and information example use a VPN with a trading broker so the maximum chance of hacking attack your trading broker and leaked email, password also most of the chances lost your fund another site few of VPN provider is trusted more than thousand VPN provider, so I preferring that when you start professional trading so avoid VPN and enabled 2FA for safe your fund.

You better think twice before using a VPN when trading. A friend of mine had trouble and got his account frozen when he used a VPN. Crypto trading isn't restricted in our country but my friend just forgot that he's using a Vpn. There are still ways to trade even without the use of it so it's better if you won't put your funds at risk.
Exchanges are very sensitive about this and it is understandable as governments are trying to close their doors and will look for any excuse to do so and exchanges are feeling the pressure as the regulations are increasing and without a doubt this has to impact their profit margins, so they cannot allow themselves to lose their business just because an user wanted to use a VPN to remain anonymous, as such it is better to not take the risk and if you are going to use centralized exchanges just accept you cannot use VPNs anymore.

I don't need a VPN for trading, because my country does not prohibit using cryptocurrency as a digital asset. My country only prohibits using cryptocurrency for payments, so I can trade without using a VPN.
That's really strange because if the rules allow you to trade bitcoins for other coins then surely you should be able to spend the coins anywhere you want. I mean at the end of all trades how are you going to cash your bitcoins for cash then?

I don't think VPN can do much good in this case.  However, it is true that a lot of restricted things can be accessed through VPN.  However, I personally do not use any VPN and I feel comfortable with it.
I would never suggest using a VPN for accessing an exchange because you are moving towards the illegal side of crypto and it can be troubling if the authorities find that you are doing something like that and even the exchange can block your withdrawals at any instant if they detect VPN.

I do not know why people keep trying tactics that we know they do not work, exchanges are very smart, they know that some of their clients will try to use VPNs to hide their activities
I think if you purchase a dedicated VPN though you might easily be able to bypass any scrutiny from the exchange because VPNs are usually detected because of their common IP addresses.

Anyways I would still never advise using VPN to access any exchange that does not allow users from your country.

maybe what he meant here is he can also convert his crypto to his local fiat via trading. but directly using crypto as payment is not possible (i.e. due to their govt laws towards crypto or absence of merchants accepting crypto). so what he does is, exchange his crypto to his fiat and then use that fiat for payment purposes.

not really advisable as you are giving reason for the exchange to freeze your funds or be suspicious about your account, that may eventually give you headache when they decide to block your account

bottomline, just dont use VPN to avoid issues that you may regret afterwards.

I don't use VPN for trading, personally I always classify it as tunnelling application which can be compromised by the providers, implication of using it is that vital information of the users can stolen like passwords and other valid documents, although my country allow the of cryptos thus giving me  the freewill to trade and transact it.

Use VPN or not depend on interests when we have active with VPN or not, I will discuss with Binance only could access by using VPN and I have activate VPN on my computer during many risk waiting for when to access something, specially will give bad effect with social media account detected with different IP from the other access, what have to do because without activate the VPN I can't open Binance exchange market because have block in my country. Just when have important moment I only open Binance exchange without must active on media social afraid will make my social media account block with different activity IP.

We have heard different opinions among our beloved forum members towards using VPN, the result was the same even it has different thoughts and opinions. The answer was also the same for me, I will never also use a VPN on any websites that were I deposited my money. In exchanges, a gambling website or even using my social media, I never used PVN.

.. using VPN can threat for ur personal identification also.
How come? can you elaborate more on how they are connected to each other? There's no KYC upon having pictorial.

VPN is won't do so much for you because it is not a complete filter to make yourself anonymous when you are trading. If your local official really want to know who you are and what you are doing, VPN will be nothing since they are more powerful and they control the network or telecom that you are using even if the VPN is active. It may help you and you can use it as long as you want but other traders are not recommending it since it doesn't have too much help and may only make your computer's life span shorter.

Do you use VPN proxy?
Specially If You are Country Where the laws not Crypto trader Friendly?

Do You hold Ur machine or wallet in better juridical locations?

VPN is won't do so much for you because it is not a complete filter to make yourself anonymous when you are trading. If your local official really want to know who you are and what you are doing, VPN will be nothing since they are more powerful and they control the network or telecom that you are using even if the VPN is active. It may help you and you can use it as long as you want but other traders are not recommending it since it doesn't have too much help and may only make your computer's life span shorter.
I doubt that they would really end up into that extent unless if the entire country is really that too serious on implementing out those rules or laws about its citizens do make out such bypass.

Telecom or ISP would able to detect it out? No they wont unless if you are really that be in priority to be surveillance but considering on the number of population, do you really think that they
will spent some time? I highly doubt on that one.

Trading up in using VPN then its up to your choice and since you do know the restriction then you're pretty much aware on the risk once you've been caught on such activity.

I don't use VPN for trading, personally I always classify it as tunnelling application which can be compromised by the providers, implication of using it is that vital information of the users can stolen like passwords and other valid documents, although my country allow the of cryptos thus giving me  the freewill to trade and transact it.
If you are using a free shady VPN then you have a point that they could have a backdoor and steal things, never install anything that is shady because it is free. When it comes to trading there is no point in using a VPN when you are submitting all your credentials to an exchange if you are trading with them. Even when you are trying to trade from a banned country most of the exchanges will not allow you to trade as you will never pass their KYC.
