Importance of read feedbacks (trusted & untrusted).

Usually, we don't need to read the trust rating of a user's during a conversation on the forum. Everyone free to express his opinion and discuss anything crypto-related. Even a red trusted user's opinion would be useful. But when you are going to do a financial deal with someone on the forum, then you should read the feedbacks from the trust wall of that user's. Either it is left by a trusted user or an untrusted user. A few untrusted feedback would be valid as well. I am writing because of this thread. You can see there a newbie user scammed by another newbie user. Interestingly, the scammer was tagged by a trusted & untrusted user, but the victim doesn't read them and scammed eventually by a scammer.

You may ask why you should read even untrusted feedback, there is a reason. When you will read untrusted negative feedback then you can deal via escrow service if you really need to deal. Otherwise, you may skip simply and save your funds. I have been trying to make aware of you guys. Don't handover your valuable assets to the scammer. Above mentioned user scammed because of no reading feedback. So you can take a real-time decision after reading feedbacks.

You have pointed out a very important issue. Our bitcointalk IDs are anonymous. We don't know the real person behind the IDs. And there is no difficulty in dealing with the people we know. The forum has made a very nice arrangement to deal with these anonymous people is the escrow service. We should take advantage of this when dealing with someone.

When dealing with someone, we must take into account his trust ratings, post history, forum rank. I think Untrusted feedback is more dangerous than Trusted feedback.  Because Trusted feedback shows up on a member's profile and everyone can see it. But Untrusted feedback doesn't show up on the profile so many people don't notice it. Again, there are many who do not know how to see untrusted feedback. Since cryptocurrency transaction is not reversible, we must think a little before clicking the sent button.

Post history or rank doesn't really matter when are going to trade deal with that person, the important one is trade history and it can be only identified via trust ratings.

Sometimes the users themselves make themselves to be trusted by giving valid feedback from other accounts and even create a trade deal like scenario between both new accounts that is why it is better to choose someone as escrow who had the experience, not just someone who had a positive score.

We should be all careful for now in dealing with other members in the forum though some of them had good intention too to make a trade a successful but there are still some making fraud activities. And the problem here is that all trade could be decentralized or will be using untrusted third party service like escrow. They may say that they had high positive trust ratings but it does compensate to the amount you wanted to trade and so they are still users with trusted feedback that from time to time they could decide whether to own your money being escrowed or not. This is why there are lot's of accusations being happening in the trust system and giving negative trust to one another.

Anyway, the importance is all about reading trust to a user but for me trusted or untrusted user still be more careful in dealing with all users as much as possible for safety purposes.

Deal/trade with carefulness and sensitivity, positive-trust or negative-trust regardless, people can change, account can be bought/hijacked -a million positive trust on such account is still a peril-

Trust has it dosage-off/can-be confusing, trolls do give negative feedbacks, mis-understanding can bring a negative feedbacks that might not be removed.

It really indeed needed to familiarize somehow or just know how the forum works especially here. We really can't blame the newbie for not reading the feedbacks (trusted/untrusted) or don't have any idea how the trust system works because especially if the user dealing with a lot of negative feedback, the user may not know what is the negative numbers on the profile of another user and he/she may not interest it to know, he/she just want to buy and pay immediately.

I really appreciate your awareness @Coolcryptovator. This will be a huge help for the newbies out there, it will help them to become aware on these kind of things in the forum.

It is common to see newbies are scam by fake newbies (they are scammers and not actually are newbies). Real newbies are scammed because they skip one of these rules:

• Don't trade with newbies
• Dont' trade with members who have negative trust feedback
• Don't trade with a member if you are making a first trade with that guy and you have to go first with your money. Risky!

It relates to the second point above. Trust feedback can be correct or not correct even it is written by reputable members. People have to check with trust feedback descriptions and reference links. DYOR I meant.

If a newbie is dealing with trade, Escrow ie. Let's use the keyword "Escrow" to search in the Trust feedback page. If results are bad, let's skip that trade partner.

Of course at the first glance, one member with too many negative trust ratings should be ignored for any trades.

Basic steps should be:

• Look at trust ratings (pay attention on +/- ratings and flag icon #) *
• Look at trust feedback page
• Use keywords to search in Trust feedback page
• Read desciption and reference links

*: Flag can be active or inactive but having flag(s) can be a bad indicator but yeah DYOR with flags as well.
