Sao Paulo has been showing signs of weakness lately. I hope that in the next game against Gremio they will not play tricks on us, although they performed quite well yesterday. I hope they can show how strong they are, despite the difficulties.

They have the luxury to leave somewhat the guard down as they are 7 points ahead and although that is not much I think only 10-11 games are left which should be easy for a team like Sao Paulo to keep the lead.Against Gremio they lost in the cup so is the perfect opportunity for revenge and I am sure they are going to win this game.

It took me a while to understand.... because I wasn't finding this match between Grêmio and São Paulo.

The Brazil Cup is a smaller tournament and in the system of elimination of defeated teams.

Yesterday, the Brazilian championship restarted, in the 28th round the International is beating Ceará and jumping to second place... for a limited time until the other teams complete the round.
But, this is the fourth consecutive victory and if São Paulo slips, then the colorados will go ahead.

I think Flamengo already got the pay out at Sportsbet if you bet on them to win and also win the Championship,,, so by at least by some accounts they have won it, although mathematically people will of course grasp at the possibilities and yes, they can still draw and Internacional can win it if they just win their next game.

Dourado, Internacional's player had already said last Sunday: "They (CBF - Brazilian Football Confederation) want that Flamengo wins.

Well...
For Internacional win the cup, Flamengo couldn't win São Paulo (and they lost) and Internacional needed to win.
Internacional could have won the game by taking a legitimate penalty that the referee marked live at 28th of the first half (see here: https://youtu.be/aq0d6CEPLhs)
However, the CBF doesn't want Internacional to win, so the VAR called the referee, and he canceled the penalty... ABSURD the penalty was legitimate.

Unfortunately, this was just one of the interventions that CBF made to take the cup of Internacional in this championship.
