How would you promote bitcoin if you were Jack Dorsey (twitter's big boss)?

{ Imagine a sequence of bits generated from the first decimal place of the square roots of whole integers that are irrational numbers. If the decimal falls between 0 and 5, it's considered bit 0, and if it falls between 5 and 10, it's considered bit 1. This sequence from a simple integer count of contiguous irrationals and their logical decimal expansion of the first decimal place is called the 'main irrational stream.' Our goal is to design a physical and optical computing system system that can detect when this stream starts matching a specific pattern of a given size of bits. bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=166760.0 } Satoshi did use a friend class in C++ and put a comment on the code saying: "This is why people hate C++".

Him being really public about it is good enough in my opinion; as you can only go so far in "promoting" something. I mean, dude has "#bitcoin" in his Twitter bio. Him providing people access to bitcoin through Cash App and funding Bitcoin development through Square is miles more important in my book.

If it's the first time to promote, I would do something like this:
1. Tweet "Buy #bitcoin"
2. Pin tweet

and just wait for thousands of retweets, comments and for cryptocurreny publications to cover the story. Even mainstream media would do it for sure.

If promoting bitcoin today, I would probably tweet every time I buy. It's putting your money where your mouth is. Heard of what Square did recently?

He has the Bitcoin icon/logo on his Bio BTC

He supports Bitcoin as a payment gateway, I don't think I have more knowledge about promoting Bitcoin than he is actually doing currently.

Since you highlighted one of his companies, I would assume you're asking how I would use that to promote Bitcoin. Twitter is not a financial or investment platform but a social one, so I would not really be able to do any more than he is doing now.
He created a custom logo for the bitcoin hashtag (which appears somewhat like this #Bitcoin BTC). He also promotes Bitcoin on his wall fairly regularly, as the CEO of the platform I believe he cannot stay on a single issue for too long and has to get involved in other trending matters, so we should not expect constant tweets shilling Bitcoin. The hashtag on his bio is lots of publicity.

One thing I would add is allowing users pay in Bitcoin to promote a tweet. I understand that Bitcoin is not convenient for instant system withdrawals as the network is decentralized and it is also volatile, but with a few tweaks it can function fairly well.

I mean, is it necessary for big names to promote crypto?

I understand the sentiment behind it, but the majority of people doing so in the past have done it to pump the coins price so they could sell at the profit and get out quickly without causing much of an uproar. Thats called market manipulation, but hey - who cares anyway? The SEC or the FBI doesnt.

I dont consider myself as a big name but I do have a twitter account which I had once used to take part in some bounty campaign and I currently using it promote casinos that I found to be legit. Needless to say that does not get much engagement than what the CEO of a social media site gets and thus the influence they create.

Bottom line: If you see them promoting something, that is a good point to sell some of your stash.

He's already promoting Bitcoin, but his promotion doesn't get enough attention.
I mean,he's not Elon Musk or Bill Gates. He's not that famous so the mainstream media doesn't care about him and the majority of the people simply don't know who Jack Dorsey is.
The guy owns Twitter,he could use Twitter Ads and promoted posts to promote Bitcoin.Dorsey owns Square Inc. as well.If Square adopts crypto payments, that would be a massive step for Bitcoin/cryptocurrency promotion.

I will just simply advertise bitcoin in my social media platform. Use flowery words, say that I have some coins holding right now and show proofs that I earn throught it. Eazy Wink. I'm pretty sure all of Twitter users will believe on me because I'm famous and rich person for real.

Look, if many people believe when Elon Musk's account (along with others) get hacked and tell to send btc on particular address then what more this time that it was a legit promotion. Big names don't have a problem when it comes to influencing other people, it will take no sweat.

when there are also (other) big names that have been bashing bitcoin and spreading a lot of misinformation about bitcoin for years, i say yes it is necessary for other level headed people to inform people about the truth and clarify the FUD.
considering the fact that Dorsey isn't just advertising bitcoin as "get rich buying it" and instead is referring to it as a "currency", I'd say it is a good thing too.

Say Dimon made some comments of that nature, he did that so they could buy it. Is it not ending up as a similar type of market manipulation instead of adoption of crypto? A quick get-rich-quick method effectively done by Dimon's employees does make the common people look like a fool.

Clearing misinformation is a good thing, but very few people are doing that on social media and they are not that popular or well known. It would good if that number would increase but that comes without any profit, so they dont do that. Instead shill their own way to make money.

He is doing great and he has to strike a balance between Twitter, Square and Bitcoin.

My favorite tweet from Dorsey was this:

I don't remember what was the tweet he replied talking about though.

Not sure about that though, being the co-founder and CEO of one of the biggest social media platform today, I'm sure he is recognized already.

I think he doesn't needs to overly exaggerated bitcoin though, Twitter is already doing this, so for me, he doesn't need to push it.

I would be doing the same thing jack is doing right now. Jack has been promoting bitcoin for the last 4 - 5 years and has shown his commitment one too many times. From time to time, He tweets about some of the good stuffs that that Bitcoin brings on the table and has personal and company-wide investment in bitcoin. That's enough already. As much as  I want to promote bitcoin as a public figure, I need to be weary of the regulatory environment.

Instead of me promoting Bitcoin directly, I think that I will hire some people or at least some famous ones to promote it. One thing more is that on the profile of Dorsey, there already is the Bitcoin logo and the word Bitcoin and that is another form of promotion already.

I'm not using twitter but like Facebook, twitter also has this so called "Paid Advertisements". Correct me if there isn't any paid ads in Twitter but that is what the marketers are doing to promote their page, their products or their company.

I really can’t imagine what else Dorsey would have to do to better promote BTC, maybe take off in his underwear and walk down some busy street in a big American city with a sign of BTC on his chest Cheesy

Joke aside, I don’t think one should expect more from what he’s doing now, yet he’s a very influential person, though not as much as say Musk or McAfee who each in their own way created a huge army of followers. Dorsey is a good example for others, but it is still unrealistic to expect others to follow his example because they have some completely different interests.

Imagine Zuckerberg doing something similar as Dorsey, but of course that won’t happen because he has a project that is just the opposite of what BTC represents. In short, let’s support Twitter and not FB Wink

To be honest, this is making me so confused. While Dorsey blames his own company's actions and supposedly supports Bitcoin, Twitter's ToS is just crap from a privacy point of view .. sitting only one class (according to ToS;DR's rating) above Facebook. It's almost like he contradicts himself and only sustains our cryptocurrency for marketing purposes.

If he truly supports BTC, wouldn't it be more rational to also improve Twitter's way of functioning so that it doesn't track you or disclose your personal information?

Big names can easily manipulate people's minds even without doing a public promotion. By simply putting below his name, it gonna work and give interest to his fans. But it more gains more attraction if they gonna say it wearing the Bitcoin logo on his avatar. He probably does that if he wants to. Does he have an interest in crypto? In Bitcoin? Does he has interest in talking about it?

Twitter is a company that has to adapt to existing laws in every country where it is available, and this is especially pronounced in countries that place special emphasis on the control of social networks. It's unrealistic to expect Twitter to get a little better in terms of privacy because it's not something a CEO of a company can do - but on the other hand it doesn't stop him from being a big Bitcoin supporter.

When I compared Twitter and FB and their CEO, then it is clear that I was targeting the Libra project (FB), and the fact that Zuckerberg is not interested in BTC (at least for now), because he has something completely different in mind.
